This guitar is sold out and I'm here to say that they should really continue production on this model. I normally prefer arch-tops but this is still one of the most beautiful ESP/LTD's I've ever seen.
I am currently trying to decide whether to get another 7 string set up in an 8 string tuning or just a plain old 8 string, so maybe a video idea for later? 🤔 Would definitely watch a video about dowtuned 7 strings vs. 8 strings and which is better for you. Either way fantastic video as always Andrew.

I'd say just get an 8. I've got a few 6s and two 7s too, but my 8 is a strandberg with 26.5-28" scale so I can go as low as I'd ever need with it, it's more comfortable even to shred on than tons of 6s I've played before, and it's just got all those notesss. I used to have trouble getting confused on what string I'm even on but I'm getting better about that. There's still certain stuff I'd rather play on a 6 or 7 but yeah 8s are bad ass dude.
I tried a baritone 6 and a downtuned 7.... about 2 years later I am now a happy owner of two 8 strings. Your mileage may vary, but I think it's best to just get the right tool for the right job. Fair warning about an 8 string evertune, it can only fit an 80 in the bridge, so you're not going to get the best tension at 27" for anything lower than drop E. My 2nd 8 was 28" schecter and it handles lower tunings better and still stays in tune well.
8 strings are harder to play for leads and shit (unless you're Dean Lamb, I guess) Another overlooked aspect of 8 strings is: NECK DIVE. The head is so large and so heavy (at least on my RG8) 7 string on the other hand are slightly easier to play but you would lose the upper range that you'd still have on an 8 (if you tune lower)

I prefer having a 6 string Baritone tuned to F# with the nut filed and using a .80 gauge string on the 6th. I would love to get into Evertune but I have found it to be a little chunky for my liking.
I got an ibanez axion baritone with an evertune and I agree, these bridges are awesome. My friends complain on their guitars that when they hit the low B string, it gets slightly out of tune. This is not a problem with mine, no matter how hard I smash the string.

And serendipitously The headstock of my grapeburst Ltd EC-256 broke at the truss rod two days ago because someone was careless (not me) and knocked it over.. that was my favorite behind my strandberg 7 string. So I'm looking for a new LTD, good thing I saw this video! It's guitar shopping day tomorrow!
I adore my ESP LTD Mh-1000Et. The fit and finish I'd say is good enough, but the stainless frets and evertune make the guitar elite. It's my first evertune and I'm so impressed that I sold my Kiesel Delos and my LTD sn-1000 and ordered a Keisel Aries 6 w/ and evertune. My other guitars without evertunes are worried.
Also, 1st thing I did was mask off the neck joint and headstock and I sanded the neck into a smooth satin finish. Sometimes I'll go all the way to the wood but I liked how it felt just sanded to satin. The MH-1000ET is about $400 less but It really looks like the spent the money wisely. 5pc neck, satin neck, recessed strap locks, bone nut, full quilted maple top, and custom saddles..... REALLY impressive additions to the mh1000 line
Don't get yourself down, man. Take beasts like Andrew as reasons to get better, as inspiration. Not as a reason to quit. Especially over gear and tone, stuff that isn't too difficult to at least get close to, price tag aside.
Have you seen Nate Navarro Sub Octave 42' inch, one octave below bass signature ? He made a demo on his channel with metal. You defintely need to try one : 😁

Damn man when is this getting released? I have a EII baritone 7 that I love!! But I could totally get down with this! Also love that the push pull is the tone, on mine it’s the volume pot, and I use the passive voice 99% of the time
Can 26.5 inches for a 7 string really be considered baritone tho? I figured baritone doesn’t start for 7 strings until like 28 since 26.5 seems to be best for standard tuning. You can go lower but you have to start bumping up your string gauge a lot once you get past drop G-F

What's wrong mate? 150 is very small number, these guys make guitars in massive numbers like in 10k minimum. For world wide distribution, that really means less than 1 guitar for every country. So make your call. 196 countries and 150 guitars. That's what it makes a very limited run.

It’s crazy how in tune the notes are down low even with hard hammer ons and pulls offs. It really makes the high gain sound so much better.

Could do no wrong except when it comes to expressive vibrato and bends. Evertune is great for tight rhythm playing but there’s definitely a trade off.
