Jagadoddharana, according to oral legend was composed in the Aprameya temple on Mysuru road.
(Sri Aprameya swamy devasthana, Mysuru Road, National Highway 275, Doddamalur, Channapatna, Karnataka 562160)
I think there is a later inscription also in that temple that indicated the same.
Also the use of the term "Aprameyana..." in Jagadoddharana likely confirms this legend.

You will find the PhD thesis of my student Dr Divya Sandesh on Purandaradasa in the Historical Context of the Vijayanagara Empire presented to Pondicherry University in 2012 very useful. It is available on the DSpace of our University.

Honestly I felt that this was an incomplete presentation of Dasar’s travel. Sriram’s perspective seems frozen to the idea that India before the Brits was a collection of kingdoms and never a nation before 1947. Songs of Purandara Dasar speak about shrines in many Kshetras not part of the Vijayanagara empire and any cathartic music enthusiast would know those songs. I’m disappointed that someone as celebrated as Sriram should miss such key compositions. Ksheerabdhi Kannike - a davrnama immortalised by Maharajpuram lists almost 20 kshetras including Tiruppullani, Thiruvananthapuram, Mannargudi, Pandharpur, Srimushnam, Puri, and Badrinath. The popular composition Tarakka Bindige clearly mentions the shrine of Bindu Madhava in Kashi. Bindu Madhava is so small a shrine that one can easily miss it even on a tour of Kashi. So imagine Dasar mentions it in the song, and which implies he visited the place and not uses it from word of mouth. I’d expect a historian to be aware of such details.
