- Happy day two of the New Year! I'm talking about some of the recent movies I watched recently on DVD Blu-ray and VHS. Some include Girls School Screamers, Fury, The Descendants, Redline, New York Ninja, The Candy Snatchers, Patrick Still Lives, House, The Shallows, Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse, Joe, and more! Lots of movies from my recent pick ups at thrift stores, the flea market, and Dollar Tree.

I remember seeing "Escape to Witch Mountain" in the theater as a kid. Yep, I'm that old. Cool video Falcon.
The Girls School Screamers scene was pretty funny, I had to watch it twice.
Yup, love that ghost lady
Grizzly was terrifying as a kid, the scene that stuck with me was when they’re searching on their hands and knees and he puts his hand ‘in’ a corpse!
Hey Falcon, you've become my go-to for finding unique and strange videos to add to the collection. Netflix recently stopped shipping out videos in the mail, when they started that service, I would get 3 a week and that added to my movie knowledge greatly! I'm looking forward to a full year of your videos and hope that you do some more livestreams. Lots of movie knowledge and very entertaining 👍👍👍

Lol yup. It is very Japanese, something like that could never some out of the US it seems. Even though it is scary at times it is also upbeat and bright. It also looks like it could have been made in the early 90s, but it's 1977. so way ahead of its time.

I loved FURY, to me one of Brad Pitts best movies. The Phantom of the Paradise was fantastic at that time, it still is great to me because of the music.
I had such long ads on this video that I was able to make coffee, put ice in it and come back without it starting.

Jim Rash, the Dean from 'Community' wrote the Descendants and won an Oscar for it. Still been meaning to watch that one.
Ruthless People is solid. I met Jerry Zucker once.
Friday Night Lights was fine.
I should check out the Shallows and Witch Mountain, the Getaway, The Incredibles, and Joe based on your description.
Van Wilder is the only newer Nat. Lamp. movie I would watch.
I'm curious about the Jim Varney and Diedrich Bader parts of Hillbillies, but I might need more of a push to watch.
Riverbend sounds fun.
A Lowdown Dirty Shame disappointed me back in the day.
NY Ninja sounds good, I love Candy Snatchers, Grizzly could've been better, I should check out Phantom of the Paradise, Silent Madness is intriguing, House looks cool Alien from the Abyss sucks.

What a coincidence, I recently saw Redline for the first time too and have more or less the same opinion as you do. It's a visual marvel and worth watching as a popcorn film, but it's not something that I could watch more than once a year.

Silent Madness is cool, Nightmare weekend is nuts and bad lol but fun

House was very cool but I do not recommend Alien from the Abyss.

Yeah, I've seen The Decendants and Joe, good films, Fury was a bit meh for me too. Incredibles fun Pixar flic. Curious about Patrick Still Lives. :)

I had forgotten about Resurrection with Christopher Lambert. I liked that movie when I saw it near its release. I really wish there were more good Lambert movies as I think he's great. Thomas Jane reminds me of him a lot!

Have you seen Quick Change (1990)? I think it could be a film you could enjoy. There's also Night of the Living Dork (2004) i could recommend.
I have seen Quick Change a few times and like it! Never saw the other one but will keep and eye out for it

I kinda wanna see the pact. Blood hunter had a great premise and I love VHShitfest but that one was meh for me
The Pact is better than Blood Hunter but the best SOV movie in my opinion is Cannibal Campout

I agree alligator 2 is not good.
Nice! I didn't talk much about The Incredibles. I think my only issue was it was just a little bit longer than it needed to be at almost 2 hours.
wow i remember seeing Disorganized Crime in theaters. for some reason i lump it in with movies of that time no one talks much about that i liked like Three Fugitives and Dream Team. Agree with ya about The Shallows. Went in expecting for it to be horrible and it surprised me. Low Down Dirty Shame was so disappointing. Keenan trying to become an action star. Something like Blood Hunter so you even finish watching when it sucks?
Yeah with Blood Hunter i stuck it out because it did have a little "So bad I'm entertained" value. Funny you mention Three Fugitives as an underrated movie. As a little kid my family went to the theater a lot and we loved that one so the next week our dad took us to it again. I think I was a little bored the second time, I didn't have much of an attention span. I still really like the movie though. We didn't see another movie in the theater twice again until a few years later with Waterworld lol.

Yup, after that first scene I thought it was going to be that ghost lady the whole time. She reminded me of the NES game The Uninvited.
