Help !!! 2001 Grand Am Ignition issue

Having an issue with a 2001 Grand Am Ignition. Sometimes the power in the dash does not come on. Which part do I replace the key cylinder or the back piece the cylinder locks into?

Your connections are probably worn out in the lock cylinder

replacing the ignition module fixed the problem.

Ducky1521 ignition switch, the electrical part that the cylinder goes into.

Are you talking about the Ignition Control Module? I would appreciate the help, my Mom's 2005 Grand Am is doing the same thing.

My ignition straight up wont turn. I can put the key in, buuuut I can turn the key clockwise to start it. Or even to put the windows up or down:/

Did you try turning the steering wheel, wiggle the steering wheel back and forth whole trying to turn the key
