Being divorced and with grown kids, and living by myself, I have converted my former living room into a scooter room. I keep 9 vintage scooters in there. Five Vespas, three Lambrettas, and one Heinkel Tourist. I have a storage shed in the back yard to keep spare parts, and am always on the lookout for them. Right now all the scooters are running, but that is not always the case. Working on them can be as much fun as riding them, except when you run into a parts availability problem. Fortunately some parts can be fabricated or reproduced. There are a lot of advantages to these old simple, mechanical machines, both in the riding experience and being able to keep them going. You will never have to deal with finding an ECU for one of these.
