Why are the "daughter" planes painted and designed with hot neon colors? The planes look like they're about to go to a night club and get drunk to techno music.
I did a good bit of research, and given that the fire control radar for the missiles seems to be working fine, given the point-blank range somebody must've actively turned of the CIWS system to get the results we see on screen there. There's a few more errors but that none of these frigates seemed inclined to activate any of their extensive countermeasure suite stuck out most to me.
Definitely agree. For an aviation geek like me, it's paradise. Hell, I could literally name every single aircraft when they got on screen! Even the freakin A320. Note on conversation at about 19:55: these days, a missile doesn't HAVE to hit its target. The warheads in them are so potent it only needs to get close, and the shockwave from the explosion will still damage (or often destroy) the target.
That’s how air to air missiles work in real life, they don’t actually hit jets, they just get close and the proximity fuse blows up the missile and he shockwave damages the aircraft
This show just exposed the anime logic of how when a dude walks in on a chick while changing he’s a pervert and gets hit but it’s okay for a chick to do it and they make up these bullshit childhood friend cliches to excuse them from not having to knock. That’s anime logic in a nutshell 🤦🏽♂️😐
Liked this anime, the music was great. show wasnt perfect but it was enjoyable. Im bummed the ship models have long been sold out. Love the coloring, specially during intro and outro.

Apparently, this was originally a light novel from 2014 so this was well before Macross Delta And Darling. I do want to read how the Novel starts off considering how brutal this opening was.
