I just pulled the trigger on a Flite Air Pro, awaiting delivery. $8,337 includes tax and shipping with a True Glide prop, Sport Flightcell, and a two year warranty. Your videos were part of my Onewheel journey and now have inspired me to efoil. Getting stoked, much gratitude.
The Flite board is amazing if you like water sports - I am 67 years old and have been riding for two years. I live near the ocean and regularly go our and ride the ocean swells - so much fun. The most difficult thing was convincing my wife to let me spend the money!!
If you are 67 years old, then spend the money if you enjoy it. You are not getting any younger! Life's short. If you've worked hard in the past, it's time to play hard while you can!
I have 2 boards from the other premium brand and I gotta say they are worth every penny. I am out almost every day all summer long. With my drysuit I am out as soon as the ice is gone and I quit when the ice freezes back over in the late fall.
Definitely worth it! I can't get enough of flying on the Fliteboard! I was just at Bayfoils in San Francisco efoiling around the Bay Bridge with the cityscape in the background. A memory that I'll never forget!
Nice video. Always enjoy both of your guy’s in depth analysis and opinions. I hope more reviewers model this approach. I think I’d agree with the convenience factor. Far fewer externalities to consider compared to gas operated machines. The simplicity is part of the beauty of ownership. Gliding on the water without the need for waves or wind is a great feature. Charging in one hour a battery that can last two hour’s sounds significant too. Nobody wants to wait forever or should feel the need to buy a extra battery that costs thousands !
Awesome video! The convenience factor, rider accessibility, low long term costs, and quality are all worth the price. It's a lot cheaper than a boat or jetski in the long run! 🤙
I have two of the other brand and one Jetsurf. Absolutely love my hydrofoils. Get way more use than any of my other toys. Kitesurfing is fun too, but no comparison to the ease of just popping a battery in and get foiling.
Great Video. You hit the nail on the head. It's all about your happiness. What makes you happy. We use our fliteboards, nearly every day. Never gets boring, and amazing core workout if you stay out there a while. Win Win Win.
Thank-you for the real take from a guy just like me, but I’m down here in NM. Wife and I are waiting on the delivery of two Flite Pro boards, then off to Navajo and Powell. Can’t wait! Totally worth it, and way cheaper than that Wakesetter boat we were wanting.
Great job flying. 🤙🏼 Fliteboard is indeed one of the premium brands. They were the first to integrate the prop and fuselage into the foil but this design is not exclusive to Fliteboard. Several other brands also have a unibody design. Some that are cheaper and some that are more expensive. There are pros and cons to an integrated or separate motor design.
Just got intrigued after watching some hydrofoil videos recently, and while electric hydrofoils seem cool, I'm more interested in learning the pumping technique. Just looks way cooler to me and fascinating that kind of speed, range, and flow can be achieved under human power. Apparently I have to learn how to surf first though, so who knows when I'll be able to try any of this stuff. lol
What ecoflow battery are you using? How many times can you charge the Fliteboard battery with it? I’m going to be using my Fliteboard in a remote area of Michigans upper peninsula. I was thinking about getting an ecoflow with solar panels. Thanks for all the work you put into your videos. I’m a big fan.
Andrew mentioned the Fliteboard at a baesk8 ride last weekend so of course I had to go take a lesson at BayFoils and pick one up. …my wife says thanks Andrew😅
I work for an electric power train company, and I’m very familiar with electronic components and this world of hardware etc…. I can tell you… there’s no way that 13k price tag could possibly be justified! Is it a sweet product??? Most definitely. Is it worth 13k??? Maybe if I can get 4 or 5 of them for that price for my family to ride with me…. And also with 13k that range better freaking awesome.
Waiting for more competition to come in and bring the price down by scaling production. $3K for a relatively small battery shows that the markup here is pretty high.
I'll be honest if this would cost 5k i would go out of my way to buy one. Seems like lots of fun and i live by the cost of black sea in Romania. But right now... The price is a bit of expensive...
I live in New Jersey and looked into putting a trolling motor on my kayak. I then found out if it's not human powered it has to be registered. Does that apply to these boards? If so can it even be registered? Marine police in nj are no joke.

Still thinking about the motor 😉 but i got the foil for great deal 😁🤯 lucked out
Silly question. Have you seen heavier folk ride those things. I'm kind of really interested as a way to get out. I'm getting out into the mountains with a jeep and camping now, and thought this would be a pretty fun thing to bring along to places I go with lakes. Just weight is an issue =( Currently 350, 6'4'' and trying to lose some weight, and I've seen limits on some boards up to 285.
These are so cool but that price is too high for me just like a boat or jetski would be. If I did have the spare income I’d rather have this over something like that for sure just do to how unique and simple compared to a boat it is. My main issue is without trying it I don’t think I could shell out that money no mater what. Also on a separate note I am buying an euc and selling my Onewheel Gt and need to pick between the v12 and the t4 but I’ve heard negative things about both. The v12 has cut outs apparently but the lack of battery safety with the t4 also scares me. What would you recommend there?
You can try one at a Fliteschool before you buy one. If you use the link in the description, it will show you all the locations. I was just in the Bay area riding around the bridges and it was epic! Out of those two wheels, I would go with the T4. It's a lot nicer having suspension.
The V12 had a few cutouts, from the thousands they sold, and most of those cutouts were guys riding on the edge on trails, jumping and braking hard, pushing the wheel to the max. Sometime on the edge you fall off or drive off the cliff. A lot of people started making the few cutouts a chicken little episode, where the sky is falling. These are new, delicate electronic vehicles; you can't just drive them like that and not expect some problems. My V12 runs like a champ. I push it hard now and then, but mostly I respect it for what it is. My only real complaint about the V12, is the wobble factor, and that's what comes with a 16 in wheel. I've learned to deal with it. I don't know about the T4.
