I'm less concerned about these MRIs missing something. After all, if this test isn't done, then ALL suspicious growths will be missed, and not just some. So, the patient is still better off.
Unless the false positive leads to more invasive procedures which carry risk in themselves
@@charlesterrizzi8311 I agree that this is a risk. But, you don't have to automatically have additional procedures. At least then you can make an informed decisions about what's best for you. I suppose that everyone is different, but I would prefer to have the MRI done, and decide from there.
You don't HAVE to follow up on the results!! That's up to the patient to decide.@@charlesterrizzi8311
Remember kids, always take your medical advice from celebrities. 😁
Only 2500.00 is a great price to get your body scanned...it's definitely worth it...put it on your charge card
sounds like you insurance companies are going full court press here
If anything, you think they would like it because then just about everyone would be considered having preexisting conditions therefore justifying hire insurance rates
@@shorty06111 , good point, since Obamacare basically requires all people to do business with the insurance cartel
Not if you live in UK, as would be free via the NHS!
Why are mris so expensive? No on ever explains.
I paid about $50 in China for an MRI and CT scan
America. nuff said
corporatization of healthcare + insurance companies = extremely high costs for healthcare that is often forwarded to the patient
An average scan can take upwards of 45 min which is much longer than other imaging tests
They are only about $1300.00 period
If I have for 2 years fever like always between 37-38.3 and the Dr. Not found why I having this fever for that long and also headache all day… my all test come back negative.. it’s there a full body MRI could help to found out what is choosing my low fever. And also I’m 32 and my normal temperature2 years ago was always like 36.6 Celsius.
*I* look forward to the day when you don't feel as if you're being slid into a coffin to have this test performed. *Terrifying.*
Yeah, I've had several, and it's not comfortable. Fortunately, I'm able to tune out the situation, but it's not always easy to do.
I hope you don’t have to have any truly terrifying invasive medical tests if laying on a bed scares you
@@charlesterrizzi8311 It just depends on how claustrophobic you are. Lying on the bed is easy, it's when you slide into that tube that things can get uncomfortable.

That's the main problem with celebs. They confusingly translate their lucky success into prowess and intelligence.
I think a brain MRI every 5 ish years is good because it can detect early signs of MS, brain tumors, clots that can turn into aneurysms, etc. I also think an MRCP scan every year to screen for pancreatic, bile duct, and gallbladder cancers is very important. Colonoscopies every 10 years starting at 30 (because the rates in younger people is rising). There are really a lot of easy steps we can take but doctors make a lot of money from cancer so it's not like they'll actually recommend these things.
The reason doctors don't recommend random diagnostic testing is because it can lead to other tests and procedures that could more often do more harm than good. Screening tests like colonoscopies work because they target at more at risk groups
