This heavenly sound transports me right into chapter 3 of Pride and Prejudice. "Mr. Bingley had soon made himself acquainted with all the principal people in the room; he was lively and unreserved, danced every dance, was angry that the ball closed so early, and talked of giving one himself at Netherfield. Such amiable qualities must speak for themselves. "
Good arrangement which makes all of the difference. The Broadside Band's arrangement was good too. Its not just good players showing up like Baltimore Consort
From what I can find out it's either the London Opera or another. There isn't any real good information. They put out a series of classical videos, and then they stopped. That's all I can find.
An enjoyable piece, the musicians are clearly enjoying it too and it's well played and all that ... but not really authentic, even with the "period instruments." This is a Country Dance tune arranged by this group as a Baroque music art piece rather than something that would have been danced to.
Great sound. But I hate it when a recorder player wiggles and waggles, and throws the head around. And the mouth movements - it's called eating the recorder.
C'mon, it's just Early Music Tai Chi. Hurts nobody - her mouth position remains pretty constant. Plus with dance music you have to play to the crowd a little. Again, hurts nobody.
You are such a pleasure to watch - such a relaxed, gentle pace.

Played with such fun - as dance music should be played!! 👏🏻
Was für eine Freude - "Mary, play Grimstock!"
Mama, tell them it’s unfair!
The most lively and well played version I've ever seen!
Agreed! This is by far the best version I've heard. So much energy :)
Terrific! Great fun, with lots of smiles; well done!
This is absolutely marvelous,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,BUT WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE? Why no label or description? C'mon, man.
No kidding. I would check out their other work if I knew who they were.
Agreed..
I think that they are Three Notch'd Road.
It's Three Notch'd Road based in Virginia. Led by Fiona Hughes on violin, featuring Anne Timberlake on recorder.
@@brokebassoon Thank you, thank you, thank you! They are wonderful. I'm going to follow them and try to see them in concert.
Great energy and masterful playing.
Such a jolly tune!
An absolute joy to listen to and watch!
They seem to be having such fun!!
Would love to hear the penny whistle more in our folk music
Very clever musicians!
Splendid

Wonderful playing! *Who* is playing?!

They are called Three Notch'd Road, and they're based in Virginia. Fiona Hughes (violin) is the leader.
What is that instrument second from right?
A Theorbo, a variation of the lute from the Baroque era
Amazing playing but all head movements...

For all that you hate it, she played extremely well indeed.
I normally hate recorders, but I hate this comment so much more I’m going to side with the recorder player on this one.
In other words, you hate it when a person behaves like a human being . So sad!
