    Horrible takes.
Very few people who want 'common sense gun control' want to take all guns. Painting with a broad brush that anyone that says that 100% wants guns to be eliminated from the civilian populace shows your ignorance.
I'm a gun owner who regularly shoots and enjoys much of gun culture, and I am all for all law-abiding, reaponsible citizens to own a gun for protection, but I am for, and the majority of the US does want, some form of gun control. You can stick your head in the sand and somehow think that means I and others want to confiscate your guns and not be a part of the conversation, or you can come to the table and have reasonable conversation supporting your views.
The world isn't black or white.

The 'takes' are based on 18 years of experience dealing with gun control activists on a daily basis.
I make reference to liberals and activists in the video. That makes it clear enough who I'm referring to.
The term 'common sense gun control' has been made into a well recognized term, by those activists. They make the statement, then prove what's in the video by their actions, protesting, lobbying for, and attempting to pass legislation to disarm, or seriously diminish all Americans' access to firearms.
The claims you make in your second paragraph are exactly the ones made by those activists, to cloud their actual intent.
Which makes it pretty clear exactly who and what you are.

@@MarkRogersCGO Maybe it's just poor communication of your stance, then?
"We want everyone to be disarmed, so we can feel safe. That's what common sense gun control is to them. Period. No matter what objection they make when you say that to them. And no matter what they say, 'we don't mind this, and we don't mind that,' no, what they mean is they want everyone disarmed so they can feel safe. Common Sense gun control..."
You didn't really leave a lot of room to specify a small, fringe portion of the population that does want disarmament, did you?
What is the impact on suicide rate when waiting periods are instituted? Homicide rate? What happens when states that did have waiting periods remove them? What was the impact on the homicide rate in WV after implementing Constitutional Carry vs. requiring a CCW? Did the 'assault weapons ban' reduce mass shooting events when enacted? Did shootings increase after it sunset? "If you ban guns, only criminals will have them" - I agree, but where do most criminals get their guns? Stolen from law abiding citizens. is there a positive correlation between states' % ownership of firearms and homicides / suicides with firearms? Do states with the 'weakest' gun control laws have higher, or lower, homicide rates?
These questions all have answers, and they don't land favorable for the 100% anti-gun control crowd. As a Christian, if you care about murder and suicide, you may want to think about that impact.
Asking these questions and trying to find balance between our right to have firearms and the betterment of society doesn't make 'liberals and progressives' gun grabbers. When you start the conversation by straw-manning the stance of anyone in favor of discussing 'common sense gun control,' you lose your position of having a serious opinion, as you've already made outrageous statements.
If that is all you've experienced over 18 years, you may want to broaden your horizons. My 'liberal' friends and I were at the range today.
      Good luck out there.

@@gzsprout I've been wading through this mess for too long to bother answering your personal lectures.
What I will answer is this one statement concerning a big paragraph full of the same argument points that have been around forever.
"These questions all have answers, and they don't land favorable for the 100% anti-gun control crowd."
You're correct. But you're only referring to answers that fit your narrative. Fact is, they all have multiple answers, according to whoever's statistics and slant on those statistics you're talking to. And I'll admit, that applies to both sides of the fence.
This video was about the loud, visible, insistent activists, and politicians from state legislators up through, and including the president, who endlessly blather about 'common sense gun control' and then do exactly what I talked about in the video.
Those people are not a "small, fringe portion of the population". While that's what you might want them to be considered to distinguish yourself from them, they are the faces and voices that land in national lead news stories daily.
None of that will change with you putting any more words here.
I'll leave all of this up, but if you want more room to advertise your 'good' version of gun control, you'll have to go somewhere else.
Or make your own video. This is TH-cam you know.
