- He was called Pavel Bure jr. by some fans and with speed and skills like what he had you can see the similarities. Would have liked to see him stay longer in the NHL but for what we got in the time he was here was electrifying.

Ha, I'm 60 years old so I go way back to 1970. With all due respect to the French Connection, the greatest line imo was LaFontaine, Mogilny, and anyone else they pit on the right side. Can you imagine if Max were there with Pat and Alex?

I've been watching the 2004 world cup of hockey and Afinogenov was a dominant player against anybody basically. His skating, puck control and dekes were at superior level.
Seeing that World Cup again for the first time since 2004 was a real trip back in time. The last hurrah of pre lockout hockey. Only thing I’ve sat down to watch when sportsnet had to fill programming with the covid shutdown

Да, поразительное сходства с Павлом Буре по стилю катания и скорости. Об этом давно говорили, что это копия русской ракеты, но к сожалению Максу не дали в полной мере раскрыться, т.к. каманда в нхл у него была оборонительного плана и мало времени ему давали на льду.

Bure is one of the best scorers ever. Just couldn't stay healthy. Afinogenov was always good, never a league wide superstar

maxim afinogenov...might the most exciting and flashiest high-speed short-hand goal scorer ever...and you put his highlight reel to 3 doors down...an absolute joke of a band....re-upload this with REAL music out of respect for this great athlete!
