If I remember right, elk typically lose their antlers late winter/into spring, March/April being the peak of the 'dropping' time of year for them. That way they can grow their antlers in again and be ready for the rut by fall so the cow elks can have their babies in the spring time :) There's actually an area in the northern part of Amythest Mountain where you can find a ton of fallen deer/elk antlers during that part of the year!
I’m not 100% sure but it’s probably most likely that they shed their antlers in December so in Spring they have new strong antlers to fight for a girlfriend herd
Deer and Elk often shed throughout Spring to early Summer! Hunting season is fall where I'm at as well. I've gone shed hunting with family friends before, it's always between Spring and early Summer around here. Deer and elk have mating season around fall and winter too.
That crazy how the most broken pack got the biggest success in raising offspring- Proof that Dandelion can do everything alone xD What's a strong mother.
Heyo! I've found the easiest way to survive the rapid growth period is to abandon the loafing spot entirely, and just lead your pups straight to the carcasses so they can eat until they're full. Just go out, hunt an elk or two, then go get your pups and walk them to the carcass. Make sure to take note of where the grass is around each carcass in case you need to fight for it, so that way you can hide your pups before it becomes an issue.
Hey sunrise star! I enjoy your content so much ( wolf and nectar clan ) ive been wanting you to post more about it pls! Im addicted to that series ibinged wacthed them nectar clan is the best i think rainibble is one of the cats hes my favorite until he drowned sadly but its ok theres many other catsi live to cya!!
Hey! I'm a huge fan of yours! I also love Wolfquest and Warrior cats and make content about it like you. Anyways, I love your videos, and they've inspired me so much! Keep up the amazing work!
if you don't want to suffer the loud howling when you have more than ten adults in a pack, i highly recommend going to your audio settings and turning down the "nearby howls" setting. might save your ears. edit: also, mule deer (especially does with fawns) are the easiest to hunt in young hunters. you need to chase them a while to drain their stamina so they're easier to catch up to and will do less damage to you and your pups.
girll i LOVE watching your wolfquest videos!! the way you talk is so calming, and the way you baby talk to the puppies is so cutee😭😭😭😭like i was in such AUWWW when you were like "someone go get the rabbit! guess mom did" (9:42) idk it just seemed really sweet to me. anyway keep up the good work cant wait for more WQ videos!!!❤❤❤
@@figaros1428 Thank you! I a lot of people have given me great suggestions. Because of the holidays, a lot of my videos have been prerecorded so I haven’t been able to put a lot of the suggestions into action until next week’s videos! I really appreciate all the suggestions though. They really help 💙💙
12:14 I think they shed either in winter or spring, it can’t be fall because that’s mating season for the elk and other animals in the deer family so they need their big antlers to fight other bulls
Not going to lie no clue when they shed their antlers, but I could not find the answer, Google has officially failed me because all the articles were saying different things. But I think its "Mule and white-tailed deer start dropping their antlers in mid-December, but some don’t shed until early April. Elk shed last, between January and April, though the great majority lose their racks in March." But what I can say is that it looks extremely painful, I hope it doesn't hurt for them! 🦌 Hope your well! 🧡
i love how kestrel has a burned/mange pelt that could make for some great story lines ^^
Wow Orion was soo in to that hunt! All that hard work was worth it for Dandi!

You should use the bark and not the woof to get your puppies to follow you, especially if they wander away :D

@@UhmAnywayMeBored Oh so interesting! In game it should only be about October so maybe all these antlers are leftover from earlier in the year!
Can you please make my golden retriever dog Holly she’s a English cream one so she’s lighter
