Max cushion shoes have made my runs doable I love them. I am 42 and in my late 30s put on about 60lbs. I started 2024 at 240lbs and now sitting at 215lbs. Still working on the rest lol I will for sure be picking these up!
Ah nice! Welcome! Yes! I figured make a channel and speak from what I do these days: try to fit running into my already overfull plate (family, job, adulting-all good things) plus, being in Podiatry, this channels lets me lean into that a bit and I get a bit of education along with it. East metro twin cities? That’s awesome: I went to UMN so all too familiar with that area-we live in the southeast part of the state. Welcome aboard!
Great! I too work on my feet and think the v5 would be good for that. Be ready for the softness of the foam and maybe consider an aftermarket insert if the shoe alone doesn’t cut it 😊Let us know your experience
Hey there-the more v5 is considered a neutral shoe but certainly has a midsole geometry and landing platform that seems to add stability for the runner. This is a great recovery, easy and long run shoe 😊 thanks
@@arvinsandiego2686 YESSIR. those are my priorities in order (usually) I’ve been thinking the angle of getting that onto a shirt. Never have done that before but it’s definitely possible. Cool!
I would say yes BUT I haven’t had on for the same distance that I had the v4 in a single run. Once I can get a decent long run in with it I can fully answer. I want to give clear information
@@mohammedkratos4352 wow that’s be something. Bet they’re totally different. Skyward has near 50mm supercritical eva/PEBA plus a carbon plate VS the fresh foam x. Not sure they’re in the same lane. That said: the skyward and Skyflow are coming up fast for hoka in 2024. Gone are the days when it was Clifton, bondi, Clayton or speedgoat 😂
The 5 fits similar to the 4. The top of foot lockdown is better IMO but doesn’t make it tighter. I think you’re good to go just try on and see and have a good return policy in case need different size
Additionally, the use of the v5 is comfort which you might get more of if you size up. There’s plenty of lace to adjust as needed if that helps but since the v4 fit you well it might could go either way. I think tight and snug for racing and looser but not sloppy for recovery runs
You’re leading the way with your More v5 reviews (sorry I don’t know your name!). Loving these videos by the way ❤ The More v5 is a shoe I definitely want to pick up. Thanks again for your excellent take on it. Now subscribed from England! 🙏🏻
Thank you so much! V5 impressed me way more than expected. It’s a fun shoe! I appreciate the subscribe for the journey. England has a special place in my heart. Love it. Thanks again !
Interesting point! I doubt the sc trainer would have the same midsole characteristics as the skyward. The skyward has multiple foams and is forgiveness tuned while the sc trainer is built for a little more speed. That said it would be an interesting comparison 🧐 sc trainer vs skyward x. Might be closer than we think
I would agree with that. The landing platform plus those big sidewalls make it so. I would also say the upper, given a more structural feel vs a knot like feel would increase stability

Roger that. These are indeed max cush. Congrats on the recent weight loss! I’m on a journey of my own. I’m 41
Just found this channel and it resonates so much. Dad also who likes to run and in the east metro.

Great video, new subscriber. Based on your review, I ordered the NB V5.
I appreciate that! Thank you so much. I really hope the v5 works well for you
How can you order .. the official release in August
They’re available here: amzn.to/3YA8oLN
Thanks
Thank you for this
My pleasure!
The V4 ate up the sides of my feet, blistered me pretty bad.
Are these wider?
Dang I’m sorry to hear that. I believe they are wider. That’s the standard D width. They also make a wide and an extra wide
Just bought them I’m on my feet 12 hours a day hopefully they good for standing and walking all day

NB V5!🔥
🔥🔥🔥🔥
is it a stability shoe? or has stability parts?

10:55 i think "Family, coffee & running shoes" have a nicer ring to it

So your sayings it more comfortable then the v4

how are these compared to the 1080 v13? 🤔
I feel like the more v5 is a tad bit wider and bouncy than the v13. I have the v14 on the way and am excited to see if they changed up the FFx
Is it softer than V13 or firmer?
The more v5 and the 1080v13 feel slightly similar but the v5, I feel, is more stable. The 1080 is feels wobbly
@@RunningDadAdventureslots of thanks dear
👍
We want comparison skyward x vs more V5

.... You think because skyward x highest high stack it is the best than more V5 @@RunningDadAdventures
I think they’re two totally different shoes
Im a size 10.5 in all my NBs (incl Morev4) except for the 1080V13 which I sized uo to 11US. Pls comment. Thanks.

Is peba same fuel cell ???
Fuel cell is PEBA. Fresh foam x is an EVA blend
@@RunningDadAdventures ... You mean fuel cell sc v4 midsole same skyward x

This is more stable than v4, which is softer between v5 and v4

Third review. I'm going to take a scientific wild arse guess that you like the v5. 🤣
Ummmm 😳 just a little 🤏 1st impression, comparison and now the full review. lol 😂
@RunningDadAdventures already looking forward to v5
Yes sir. And oh btw. I see the specter 2 is coming late August 🔥🔥🔥
@@RunningDadAdventures already on my list 👍
@@Wings_nut woot woot. Man it looks good
I also bought these sneakers first instead of buying a new pair of eyebrows
They’re good shoes
They are good for walking the dog...Especially when the dog is doing all the work.
Yes!! That’s my dog. You should see it when there’s a bunny sighting. Call that a speed boost
