- Continuing the Volvo C30 ac system replacement, this part focuses on the Orifice Tube only. No working knowledge required. My video a/c system has 4 Parts; Part 1 replaces the a/c Compressor. Part 2 replaces the Dryer. Part 3 replaces the Condenser and Part 4 replaces the Orifice Tube.
Great videos. My C30 AC system has a slow leak, figured it was the low pressure schrader valve under the fill cap. When my mechanic tried removing said valve, the damn thing sheared off. Volvo Australia want 845 AUD for just that low pressure pipe! I found it online for 120. dealer part prices are beyond ridiculous, I am suprised you found all the components at a reasonable price. Anyway, good video, hopefully I only need to remove the headlight to be able to extract the low pressure line. P.s. its part number 9124206.
@@julianossowski1435 Thank you.. FYI..there are white ‘bushings’ where the pipe meets the firewall. These bushings are a tad fragile at their age so be careful. I had to replace one. Yes… it’s crazy how expensive the dealerships can be
hi, great video series. Will you do anything with the ac evaporator? my c30 has a slow leak, not able determine leak under the hood. Replace condenser, dryer and using dye not seeing leak in the compressor. so like to determine whether is the evaporator, but look like it's a pain to get to it.
Thanks. I do not currently have plans to replace/clean the evaporator (knock on wood). In my unprofessional experience, there are always variables and yes it’s hard to pin point. If it’s a slow leak, it could possibly be a Schrader valve. There are three that I’m aware of. 1 under low pressure disconnect 2 under high pressure disconnect and 3 under low pressure switch. Are you certain it’s a slow leak?
Where are you classic mini videos 😂
