  • As fans await Tupac's biopic for some distinct details of the era's most infamous moments, rapper Greg Nice recalls hanging out with young Pac before his rise to fame, and ultimately up to his last 30 days of his life. As tension between the West Coast and East Coast continued to brew, Greg Nice says the legendary rap star only wanted to settle the feud and "fix" it. As a native New Yorker faced issues do to the rivalry, Greg says the rapper yearned to be back in the Big Apple for culture and just because he missed his former home telling him, "I miss New York, I [want to] go back."

TUpac was the biggest rapper ever at the time, Greg Nice wasn't hot and was doing too good and he call pac out the blue, no other rapper would have called him back much less flew him out and gave him 50K

      urbanflavorz From Mike Tyson to Buckshot to MC Hammer to fuckin Smif N Wessun, the one consistent remark they all make is that Tupac was the most generous and loving person they'd ever known. Another story told by Richie Rich was that Pac once walked out of a restaurant in the middle of winter, saw a homeless guy with no clothes right outside the restaurant and took off his coat, gave it to him. Then walked off into the night wearing only a tank top. In the middle of fuckin winter! Who does that?!

      Fat Joe and Big Pun too....that now proves he was setting up that nationa empire with everyone that had beef with Bad Boy and their affiliates Terror Squad had beef with Roc-a-fella...beat them down at some club
      and buckshot had beef with junior mafia
      Preem via Jeru the Damaja had beef of sorts with Bad Boy , but more likely he was chosen as Preem had worked with Deathrow in the past i.e. lady of rage album
      Although Pac wanted to squash this east/west...he had no intention of squashing deathrow v bad boy....he was trying to put them on an island by isolating them....recruiting prominant East Coast rappers and DJ's that had beef or were to naive to realise that working with him and Deathrow would NOT play well with Bad Boy and therefore start a beef forcing them closer to him
      Brilliant

    • @aikenstodd
      @aikenstodd 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Mike Gillins Yall love to recreate what was into absolute bullshit. LOL First of all Pac didn't even know Jay z or Mobb Deep personally and he didn't have any real beef with Nas. They just got caught up because he knew they were cool with Big. Buckshot and Boot Camp was doing fine in the Mid 90's and Naughty by Nature was fucking huge. Nice and Smooth started to fizzle out during the mid to late 90's. Stop it with the bullshit conspiracies. Pac was from NYC and missed it and regretted what he helped start end of story.

      +Mike Gillins Please stop posting bullshit nobody was being pushed out. Its obvious you're not from NYC and probably wasn't even around or of age to even mention what was going on as I said before Naughty was fuckin huge in the mid ninties "think about hip hop horray", Mobb was on Black Moons first album and the BootCamp squad was dropping albums deep into the ninties. There was never a face for NYC hip hop during the ninties there was too much good material for anyone to claim anything including Big even though he called himself the king of New York it was just good fuckin music and thats what alot of folks don't seem to understand if the music was wack NY wasn't fuckin with it point blank period. It was never a NY hates Cali music or Southern Music because Cypress Hill, Alkaholics, Outkast, Goodie Mob etc... was all getting their music played in NYC.

      +aikens todd you a funny dude cause you dont know who you even talking too...im in my mid forties and lived in nyc my whole life...I dont know how old you are but I was around for that era and didn't have to rely on magazines for info...the face of ny hip hop changed in the mid-nineties starting with wu tang in late 93, nas and big 94, mobb in 95, and jay in 96...Nyc was under a new movement which is why gregg nice said in the int they acting like a nigga dont exist anymore...back to my original point one nation would of given greg nice and buckshot a chance to really shine again...if you are from nyc and grew up in that era these are things you would know already!!!!!

      Premo loved Pac, as did Guru. They were all friends in the early 90s. Pac used to go to Guru's Jazzmataz performances with Premo, sit in the hotel room drinking Jack Daniels with Premo. That's from Premo's own mouth.

    Greg such a humble dude, legendary emcee, would love if he could do some records with Kanye and Paak.
    Would love to hear the songs he did with Pac too.

    That Premo and Pac song has never leaked. So far there are songs called Mission Impossible & Ginseng Power that is not leaked to the public. Not sure if Fat Joe is on either one of those or another unheard that we do not know the name to.A song called Warriors has been rumored for over a decade to have been done for One Nation as well

      Also Premo said Afeni gave him rights to release his Pac song on any release he wants in the future shortly before she passed away.
