    Great video but important to know that Kent is a very big county. I’m sure it’s bigger than London and all of the towns are very different in terms of quality of life, diversity, transport links and cost of living. For instance Bromley which is a big town but you might as well be living in London due to house prices and transport links. Compare that to Whistable and Faversham which are small towns that are not very diverse. Then you have seaside towns such as Margate which are coming more diverse and have great links to London. Then of course you have the Medway towns such as Gillingham, Rochester and Chatham which has become so diverse that I feel like I am back in London. Just do your research before you move. Lol

    • @JenniferIsOn
      @JenniferIsOn  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great comment you’re absolutely right !!! Bromley for me is basically London it’s a lovely area and they have a nice shopping centre. Kent is big and I’m yet to visit some of the places you mentioned but very excited to discover the rest of Kent… research is so important but going there also to get a real feel of the area is equally as important.

    • @tonilove8245

      Totally agree but let's not forget some of the other towns like Folkestone with all the new builds going on down on the seafront, stand on the beach and you can see France so clearly. Let's not forget the rich history of some of the towns. Faversham has the oldest brewery in the UK ( which really does chuck a stink in the summer). It also has some really pretty villages.

    I've moved to deep Kent after growing up in London and I love it so far, although kent is so varied and so one's experience in one part of Kent will be different to living in another part of Kent. I agree with the point about houses looking big from the outside but being disappointingly small once you go in 😄

    • @JenniferIsOn
      @JenniferIsOn  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Deep Kent!!! I agree there are so many areas in Kent that feel very different to other parts. Kent is such a big area so people do have loads of options should they move! Depending where you live, there is a "Paks" style shop in Chatham and Maidstone has a, great shopping centre.
    Tbh, I'm not too bothered about living in a wholly "diverse" area simply because I wanted to live in a quieter area as I was born and bred in London and became tired of the hustle and bustle of London living. However, I can understand 30 somethings moving to SE England wanting some "London" life.

      @@JenniferIsOn Even a coach is kissing 4k .. & means you will be picked up at like 4.45am.. from a stop miles from your home.. then stop at points at every town & village on the way up. It is torturous & feels like a 27hr commute.. Then after a tiring, stressful day .. you get to do it all again on the way back .. getting in your front door at 7.30pm .. eating , showering then bed with alarm set for 3.45am to go thro the whole circus again the next day. Repeat X5.
      My advice is move Cities .. move jobs . Do not look at what you can earn in London . London is a unique economy .. even alien to some ... There are well paying jobs outside London that can provide you more than enough to have a great life .. Granted the numbers on the payslip may be lower .. Look at what you need to provide & have a better work/life balance . Life is not all about keeping up with the Jone's & chasing the £$£$£.. Peace Out x

      It's a very deprived area, one of the most deprived in the country. there has been recent investment in the area however. it's a typical traditional English beach town which only really thrives in the summer months. As a minority ethnic, I'd personally avoid east Kent. North Kent is generally better for South Asians/Blacks from my experiences as there's a bit more diversity. South/South West Kent is generally more unaffordable for the average family, it's a more affluent and middle class area. Schools/education is generally much better that other regions as well. I lived in Kent for over 25 years and relocated a couple of years ago. If you move from London, there will be a massive culture shock regardless as Kent is at large, a very, very white area.

      Devon is a great county. It’s more relaxed than the south east that I find way too over stimulating. Same for Norfolk suffolk etc. There’s a world outside the counties that touch London.

    It would be good to know the area you live as you mention there are a lot of black people there or at least list a few areas that are more diverse if you don’t want to provide that information.
