- On my Rocky Mountain Folding Bike tour day #2 I back track back to the Colorado national monument. I get lost trying to find the entrance to the park and finally find a campsite to bed down for the night. Lastly, I show off some of my gear I am using on this bicycle tour..

Wow! Beautiful scenery up there. A bit like places in Utah. I live in Northern Utah, Brigham City. At 77 I've done my share of bike touring. If you stay positive and adapt, overcome, persevere things are easy. Also, wild camp. Cheaper and no people noise. // Double the wait time on freeze dried meals. 10 min? Wait 20 min.
Yay looking forward to this upload
Thank you😁
Lovely honest video. 'Faked Beans'. Love it. I think the Zizzo is just as good as the Brompton.
Thanks for the tour of folding bike touring!
And thanks for doing the right thing for Beans.
Going to work every day makes me feel very numb, and I really want to escape from such a monotonous life. Your videos are really the lifestyle I want.
I got to go to work everyday too my friend. I try to get away as much as possible though😁👍
Excellent video Brian. When I toured Hawaii by Brompton I was able to fit my bike and all my stuff in my tiny one man tent. What a wonderful journey you are on. Small footprints are a good thing.
My 2032 zizzo forte will be delivered tomorrow 🎉
👍😁nice
I really dig the one man tent! Cant wait for day 3.
You got enough gear there to survive the End Times! Glad to hear Beans found a good home.
Bomb proof bit of kit .👍
amazing thank you brian love it
This is now my favorite channel. You rule.
Thank you I appreciate you👍😁
@@ibikeunfolded I love my folding bikes, they're all 20 inchers and I go for speed. I'm working on a little project now, six gear shimano, mirror polish style...
Hi Brian this is me,angel,,,i really love your videos 😊
Thank you.
Went through the monument in 1985 as part of our cross-country tour. Thanks for the memories!
Fantastic video. Glad beans is there watching out for you. Looking forward to your next video. 👍
Excellent video again Brian. Beautiful music and great narration. It is so nice to follow your tour. We are all waiting for that long feature film about biking. Well done
For a Brompton you are able to buy a trailer with room for a folded Brompton and with Brompton size wheels. I did find a used version in an special trading site for used items, but I wasn't able/prepared to offer a reasonable prize for it. Finn. Denmark
I was anxious to watch this #day2. I really like your videos. This place is beautiful!
Hi Brian,
Thanks for all the videos that you created this year. I’ve enjoyed following your trips around Denver and elsewhere as well as your product reviews.
I wanted to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy (and safe) New Year in 2024.

excellent video 👏 thanks for sharing your journey with us!
Amazing video as always..thanks for showing us the beautiful views..Go Zizo the little bike that could
Thank you.😁👍. Yeah the zizzo did alright.
Can't wait to see more and get a long term review of the Zizzo as a folding tourer. Great stuff Brian!
Hello Brian - I had a Zizzo Liberte for a while. I sold it. I have the 2023 Forte on order. Seems Zizzo is back - ordered on the Green Forte. I wanted to use it as an all-around bike like for commuting and bike packing. I figured that if I had that bike and it got damaged or stolen out of the back of the car, or something like that, it wouldn’t be a great financial loss compared to say having a Brommie, Verge P10, or BF stolen or damaged on a bike ride or outing. Some people have been breaking into cars and stealing stuff around here during daytime. “Smash and grabbers”. I’m sure being parked at a trailhead with your bike locked inside the car is even more a risk, especially if it is a good quality bicycle. My plan is to always bring the bicycle with me, but I may wish to leave it, and just take my backpack and go for a hike, without the bike - no rhyme intended 😊. - hence the reason for a good quality, budget friendly folding bike like the Zizzo.
Could you tell me what Axiom rack you fitted on the rear of your 2023 Forte. I wanted to get that rack as well.
Patrick 😊
Awesome.. I agree with you wholeheartedly. Getting a cheaper folding bike stolen sucks enough… it sucks Rhinoceros balls when the bike is expensive.
Great job mate. love it.👍
Hey Brian hope you had a merry Christmas and have a happy new year. Let's see day #3 on the Forte.
Thank you… and you as well. I’m trying to get the video out…. Busy time of year …😁
Great vid , well informative!
Lowering your tyre pressure is a good decision I think when going through off road especially road with lots of small pebbles.. Anyway, it's a good scenery out there..
Well this road had lots of dips and road erosion so it made riding really rough. The air pressure would have helped…. I should have done that.🤷♂️ oh well next time I’ll remember maybe.
You could save so much weight with some good backpacking gear. Love the channel. I am picking up a used 1st gen forte today, largely based on your experience. I plan to drivetrain swap it.
You're right up against the Bookcliffs. That's probably Carpenter Canyon area at the beginning of the video
16:20 probably need to let the noodles sit for longer in the boiled water at elevation.
Great Video, how many km did you travel? i think you should make more this kind of foldingbike adventure. its rare find bikepacking with folding bike.
Zizzo forte is rated to carry 300lb, so you can bring more stuff!
Your Llama fitted with knobbly tires should be more suitable for this type of riding.
Love ur content but remember last year i commented that u need to buy a nose hair trimmer 😀😀
It’s a lost cause. It grows too fast.😬🤷♂️
Very nice. I am happy to follow your journey. What a beautiful area that is. Did I miss it, or didn’t you present any tools to do bicycle repairs?
I'm surprised the clerk didn't ask you to surrender your backpack or whatever bag before allowing you to shop. I've had them do that. You think authority goes to some people's heads? Great vid you did way more to that Forte than I ever would. I'll have to give Zizzo a second look.
He was kinda of a duche…. He snapped at me like I was some criminal breaking the rules. I don’t understand??? I have such a trusting face.😁
well You're an adult on a bike. You're an adult on a weird looking bike. You might think you can ride your weird bike through the store. You might use your weird looking bike as a weapon, rob the place and use the weird bike to escape. Get the drift? How does this guy handle people in wheelchairs?
I personally don't see why it would be an issue with bringing a Folding bike inside a Convenient store especially if it isn't in the way or interfering with other shoppers. I was watching another bike touring video and in that video the, Restaurant person wouldn't let the bikers eat in the Restaurant.
Hi Brian. It must have been easier to set up camp in daylight this time. When on the rough road you mentioned the Brompton being stronger but would it have felt rougher because it it only has 16 inch wheels?
Incidentally did you mix the pasta before leaving it for 10 minutes because the hot water can sometimes sit on top of the dehydrated meals rather than soak in.
Yes, I did stir the pasta…. I know I am no 5 star chef, but man…. I thought I could at least rehydrate food.. definitely much nicer setting up camp when the sun is still out… 😁👍
I know you got the kitchen sink packed.
Yep, full of dishes too.😁
@@ibikeunfolded 😆
where from do you get water ❤
Streams- there are plenty in the mountains. Not so much in the Grand junction area, but most other areas in the Rockies there are plenty of streams.
when will the next zizzo bike packing video?
Hope to have it done in the next week.
7 Days have passed... :D@@ibikeunfolded
Why not just go off road to camp instead of at the camp site,I would..
After 6 years in the Army, you couldn't pay me to carry their heavy poorly made stuff anymore lol. First half of the video so much complaining. If you are worried about hitting over 300lbs on a forte, you gotta scale back your bs carried lol
Complaining is therapeutic, you should try it.👍😁
