played this game a ton on the sega master system back in the day, this was a huge step up from Kung-Fu Master on the atari 2600 which I also played a lot of back then
The PC-Engine was an absolute beast for a 1987 machine better sound chip than the Mega Drive more colours on screen than SNES and Mega Drive without 32x add-on and a decent 16-bit graphics chip. Just a shame the console never got a worldwide release.
@@snkneo-geo933 I never stated whether it was 8 or 16-bit I said it had a good 16-bit graphics chip for it's time which it does I'm well aware the cpu is only 8-bit. However I class it as 16-bit due to the graphics chip as that's what renders all graphics on screen very few people say the Dreamcast isn't 128-bit despite the fact the cpu isn't 128-bit.
For skinheads they sure have a lot of hair. Interesting sprite design with the black outline on one side only. Works well. the music sounds like a mixture between Megadrive and ZX Spectrum music
When I first got my Tubro Graphix 16, I use to think this game was the cheesiest thing in the world. The bad voice PCM and all that. I honestly think it's a play on Kung fu, even to this day. Those TG16 games had groovy music! But wow when I first played SNES Final Fight, I loved it.
Best plot in a video game ever! I was expecting more from madonna at the end a music video salute to the singer or something. Oh well cant win em all 👍👍👍
@RaSan69 thanx, RaSan, but I tried Magic Engine (thru "less than licit means"...and I'm not proud to admit to that at all!) and I wasnt satisfied. thanx for the heads-up, anyways.
@SDSOverfiend maybe that was actually a cup or a sock...or a whole shirt rolled around & tucked in there. one of those guys out there tryin to "compensate", LOL!
@triplestar100 Magic Engine is the most popular emulator out there. However, you apparently need to pay a fee to use the full version, but there's the alternative of torrenting it.
I thought the same when I first played this game on PC Engine a while back, but it's a Mandela Effect of sorts...if you look through playthroughs of the arcade version on here, you'll see that the bosses do actually have stupidly long health bars...the only only you can defeat fairly quickly is the stage one boss due to a glitch that lets you hit him and cause extra damage whilst he's down, which doesn't seem to work on this version.

can you guys please tell me which PC Engine/TurboGrafx16 emulator do you use? I'm trying to complete my personal stash of adolescent memories, as corny as that sounds. got all the good systems (thanx Valis77 & Tsunao for the references) but & need a good PC Engine/TurboGrafx16 emulator.

Nunchucks is the best weapon in the game.
Can be defeated not only enemy, but also boss without getting damage.
