      Unfortunately the current Zambian President seem compromised due to donor funding issues. The desire to work on the so-called economic recovery is making this new Zambian govt tolerate such moral decay behaviourism. It's a shameeeee. Congratulations to all African Presidents who can't sell their African moral values all for donor funding.

      Interesting. Since forever and a day homosexuality has been in Africa. We don't get to dispute this, we get to be mistaken. Most of the continent has forgotten sexuality has no borders, and treating single-gender loving (SGL) individuals with dignity is a matter of human rights, centered in ethics and morality. "Religion is fine, except when it isn't." We internalized the behavior of our colonial Arab and European masters, who bought Islam and Christianity, respectively, to bear on what heretofore was an acceptance of SGL individuals. Within various African ethnic traditions the acceptance included: recognizing SGL members have the power of "two-spirits," ying & yang, male and female, a "double-consciousness," one that was often used in counseling others, or settling disputes, for instance; some ethnicities allowed marriage/some of these unions didn't involve sex for being more concerned with strengthening economic, family and/or clan ties; in some traditions bisexuality was common, while in others it was common until marriage (many relationships endured regardless); cross-dressing was common in some societies; various cultures treated the SGL phenomenon nonchalantly/without a care, like "so what?" Though "homophobia is un-African," outsiders undermined the vibrancy of African cultures and traditions in general. We should recover our memories. Our ancestors knew what time it was/we should too. We have to do better, because we are better. With due respect.

      Interesting. Some thoughts on religion, and African History & Homosexuality: JESUS had nothing to say about homosexuals and homosexuality. To say He did is "biblically-profane," a sin for which there's a mortal wage. Jesus loves homosexuals, like He does you. The misuse of religion is a cancer in Africa and helps undermine its future. And God don't like ugly. Learn to discern the CONTEXT of the biblical proscriptions related to its "men sleeping with men," and related scriptures. And one will discover they address heterosexual men exclusively, for all the right reason. DO THE WORK, folks. And this:
      Since forever and a day homosexuality has been in Africa. We don't get to dispute this, we get to be mistaken. Interesting comment, Dr. Bwalya. But. The Rwandan Genocide, American Slavery & Segregation, and the Jewish Holocaust, were culturally-specific too, making such excuses immoral and deadly. Vigorously advancing the cause of human rights is the antidote. Furthermore the Christian Commission, "to love your neighbor, as yourself," shouldn't be mocked, as it's perilous, particularly when we're held to account at eternity. Likewise hold legislators responsible for using religion to buttress animosity towards a class of people many don't understand or care to. They will otherwise, with impunity, brazenly demonize (and worse) any person or group with whom they don't agree, like, or understand. And it's a stark warning, as you're next. Why? Just because! Eloquence at the expense of human rights is tragic. Educate yourself, Dr. Hamadziripi, with a quickness. And spread the word. With due respect.

      JESUS had nothing to say about homosexuals and homosexuality, Ms. Tome. You'll discover they address heterosexual men exclusively, for all the right reasons. DO THE WORK. And this:
      Since forever and a day homosexuality has been in Africa. We don't get to dispute this, we get to be mistaken. Most of the continent has forgotten sexuality has no borders, and treating single-gender loving (SGL) individuals with dignity is a matter of human rights, centered in ethics and morality. A digression: It's problematic when all one sees is a white Jesus. If color isn't important, why is He always depicted as white? Christians are taught all human beings are made in His image. And according to the Bible, He has a "burnt complexion and wooly hair," which indicates He's more African than European.

      @kevinboone2178 ปีที่แล้ว

      CONTEXT of the Bible's homosexuality scriptures. To comprehend it, first, consider that "an ax murder isn't about the ax," and there's a "distinction with a difference" between "homosexuality and homosexual" and "heterosexual and heterosexual," each one. It's why homosexuals often have children the old-fashioned way (heterosexuality), and incarcerated heterosexuals often have sexual relations with their sex (m/f, homosexuality), for example. With CONTEXT we'd know: Why heterosexual men are their exclusive focus; why women play a tangential role; why Ancient Greek custom, and Ancient Roman law, condoned it under certain conditions; why the biblical references to "man's inhospitality to man" includes heterosexual males illicitly "knowing" men and women ("carnal knowledge"/rape); why the prophets were concerned about it; why beginning in the 12th century the Roman Catholic Church started teaching the "Sodom & Gomorrah" story was (largely) about homosexuals, which is false; why neither the term ABOMINATION, nor anything similar, is in the original Biblical documents, which were written in Classical Biblical Hebrew, Ancient Aramaic and, in its first translation, in Kione Greek. Etc. Understanding those specific scriptures requires knowing something about those languages, the problems of translation, literary devices, the history of sexuality in the Ancient Near East, Ancient Greece, and the Ancient Roman World (the areas in which the anthology of biblical stories take place), the biological basis of human sexuality. Etc. Misunderstanding CONTEXT subverts the truth. And you already know there's a mortal wage to be paid for putting words in God's mouth, as it's "biblically profane." Gays have been verbally, physically, and mortally mistreated in His, and "Caesar's," names. "Telling the truth while telling lies" (my quote) are "the remains of the day" absent CONTEXT. Do the work to understand those scriptures. Then spread THE WORD, dearie. With due respect. (KFB 3.15.23)
