What makes the UK a great place to invest...? Is it the most expensive energy prices in the world? High Taxes? Uncontrolled mass immigration? Housing shortage? Health service that is not fit for purpose? Two tier policing? Or maybe a Democracy where the current Labour government won an election with only 20% of the registered electorate actually voting for it?

@@RRaymer Not the Yanks I am talking to. Most of them are looking at the Eastern Europe market for investment opportunities. The country risk premium they are assigning to the UK in their financial models is the highest I have ever seen it and I have been doing what I do for 30+ years now. The general consensus of opinion is that we are going through "de-industrialization" similar to Germany and the standard of living in the country is dropping to the extent that quote, "civil and institutional stability may be negatively affected in near and medium term".

Also what is time window of those investments and what are the sources of those investments? Some foreign investment sources are better for the UK than others.
I personally think that from now, UK will not be the good place for further investment in recent economic conditions. UK has the major earnings from universities apart from this there is no regular, sustainable revenue stream. Furthermore, everything is overpriced i.e: property, insurances, taxes, food, health. It will take a lot of time to reset it to the normal. Regardless of the political view, from the eye of the economist everything is worse in UK on resident's pocket and also not in favor of long term sustainability of the country. Hope for the best...!!!
