I agree, like it's hard to not compare XG to older rappers because they are that good. They are so natural in what they do that they seem like they've been here rapping/ singing like the OGs.

The only knock is that they aren’t writing the lyrics, so if that is your apprehension, I understand. As far as cadence, delivery, tone, flow they are the best Asians to do it…period there is NO question

When I heard “show you can” that is when I realized the talent. The Japanese and Korean flowed like water when they were rapping, and I knew that they were truly extraordinary regardless of race, sex, culture or language. They are the best out!

For this comeback, Everglow tried a concept that they have never done before and Zombie itself is a hip hop genre because this time they worked with a music producer who has produced a lot of hip hop, R&B genre music. I personally really liked this song because they emphasized their vocals more, I enjoyed it.

I was NOT expecting Epik High to curse, lol. But I've become obsessed with XG since Woke Up dropped. I listened to Girl Gang and some other stuff before but now I'm IN LOVE. I have 3 biases but Cocona slays me. I love the badass aesthetic over cutesy all day every day (which is why I also loved 2NE1 particularly CL, etc.).
You hit the nail on the head about XG. Japanese is their native language and Korean would be their second language so English is their third language except is only for Maya where English is her second language. But nevertheless their rapping and singing in English is pure fire and pure talent. Imagine being able to spit with their cadence and flow in a second or third language. XG on another level and your analogy about their predecessors like Suga (Yoongi) and Zico et al being like LeBron and they being like Luka is spot on. They are all multiple MVPs in waiting
