I’ve never played a game with races like gt7. Was always spoon fed nfs. But now that I’m playing a real driving game, I know nothing about fuel savings and tire wear. So thanks for the tips. Gonna have to learn manual in the game now too. Just got to the vgt races in the campaign and beat my first one in the dodge vgt but I lost like 10 times and it took me a few days to finally get it.
I’m still trying to focus on clean driving and no contact with other cars. Not going online for a while lol. And driving with my eyes as far ahead on the road as possible is getting pretty easy. I really like this game and I want to hit the track soon in real life.

10:17: "the closer you are to the car in front, the more potential you have of saving fuel" => that's exactly why it's often good to stay behind someone, as long as the other driver is as fast or better, a bit faster than you. The slipstream will let you stay just behind and you save a ton of fuel. What matters is the position at the end of the race.

Thanks Kie for another great guide which can be used to improve for all fuel saving races. I really enjoyed this daily race at it did allow me to beat much faster drivers than my current skill level, as you noted with Beeze, by being strategic with fuel saving throughout the race to do a full attack on the last lap.

I think maybe Wind wanted you to work with him so he wouldn't lose a position from the penalty having carried you in the slipstream the whole race.

@@svdw23 it’s a race at end the day I can sit behind and use race craft but not sure it was deliberate or not he said it wasn’t but not really convinced 🤣 but end the day strategy is part racing so you can’t get annoyed if someone saves fuel in your slip 👍
