The best thing we did when in Geneva was to take the train to Montreux and walk along the shoreline to castle chillon. We then hopped back on the train and stopped in a village and walked around vineyards. Views of the lake and mountains. It was spectacular!
That sounds lovely!! Do you remember the name of village/vineyard? I will be going to Geneva in March and would love to check it out.
It might be Rivaz Village.
Mr. Guide is a sweet❤ !
Great video. You've given me all the more reason to visit Geneva.
Lovely exploration around Geneva & rly informative too! i hope to go there someday :)
Great job !!!!
Thanks for the timely video I'll be travelling there in 2 weeks :)
thank you for this video!
Thank you Alexis and Louis for all the tips! I’m now in Geneva and this video helps a lot!
Amazing beautiful thank you for sharing this beautiful video ❤
Very nice informative video👌🏻
Your video is really helpful, we just arrived in Switzerland and plan to visit Geneva next week. Merci beaucoup Alexis.
Great vlog. It is interesting to see a vlog from a local living in Geneva. Thank you for the tourist attraction recommendations. 😊
Wow! What an informative practical video. I loved it😍
Hello friend, very nice video, thanks for sharing
Very nice. It does not look much different from when I lived there in 1989 (Le Paquis, Carouge, Champel,, et Grand Sacconex - I moved around a lot) A very beautiful city, and only the ferris wheel looks new to me, plus the scaffolding is off St Pierre. Merci bien pour la visite!
Thank you very much for the videos, since me and my wife are going to your SO BEATIFUL Switzerland
next year ( autumn 2024 ) it is very informative to follow you guys, so again thank you so very much and of course I am a subscriber !!!
I am travelling Solo in March, at 66 its a little daunting, but watching this i feel easier. Thankyou.
You can do it! What an exciting trip ahead, so glad this content is instilling some confidence !
@@TheTravelingSwiss Thankyou🙂
My wife and I have been twice and each time it was great. There is so much to see and do and the transport is so easy to travel around the city. We enjoyed the United Nations tour and visited the Cern museum. The little yellow lake taxis were great for getting across to the other side. One thing I would really reccommend is a trip in the cable car to the top of Mont Saleve, the view is something to see.
I came to your page because I'm going to Geneva for the day tomorrow and wanted to figure out what I should see... perfect timing!! 😂😀
Yay!
Great informative video thanks. Going there in September. Are there any one or two hour cruises on Lake Geneva available?
My wife must get her fix of a cruise🤷.
The old town looks like what i picture a typical Swiss town. What were your recommendations for lunch/dinner at a reasonable rate?
Also have you done or going to do any other cities/towns. We will be doing Zurich,St.Moritz, Zermatt,Montreux and Lucerne.
Thanks👍
I was lucky enough to visit Geneva back in the 1980's on a long student trip......really must come back!. The Jet d'eau was the first stop on my day in the city. I grew up in the 1970's and watched the old 60's adventure show The Champions, a series about superhuman secret agents whose HQ was in Geneva and the jet d'eau featured prominently in the titles . Always wanted to see it in real life 🙂.
I will go there after some time to meet my gf 🥹
Bro how much money do I need for 1 week stay
Thanks for such an insightful video! I'll be visiting Geneva for 2 days next month. Wanted to check if it is worth visiting Mont Blanc from Geneva on a day trip.
Thank you :)
Hi, I will be staying in Geneva, and am interested in doing a day trip to Chamonix. Can I ask what you thought of if day trip to Mont Blanc? Thankyou
Thank you very much for all videos! I like your channel, ı have discovered it today...Only for Geneva and maybe only for one time; a simple french video? I try to learn french since years (very desperate, but i don t give up!:-) Thanks again!
Great video! What train station do you recommend arriving into for a day trip to Geneva from Thun?
GREAT VIDEO GUYS!!! I have 3 questions!
1) What is the best place to get a nice Entrecôte/SteakFrites?!
2) Are all the major Maisons closed for shopping on Sunday's (Cartier, Hermes, etc)? Is EVERYTHING closed on a particular day?
3) What is the nicest/boutique hotel to stay at near the Geneva Airport?
Thank you!!!
Hiis there souvenir stores around the fountain?
I’m going to Geneva for a day as part of a 3-day trip to Switzerland in 3 weeks, so the timing for this video couldn’t have been better! I’m most looking forward to seeing St. Pierre Cathedral and the Reformation wall. How long did it take you to climb up the tower in the cathedral?
If you can walk up stairs without stopping about 5 minutes!
There isn’t much to see in St Pierre Cathedral. It was a Catholic Cathedral for 1000 years before the reformation, hence it is a Cathedral. But following the reformation it has been vandalised, stripped of everything and became Protestant. The little side chapel is a reminiscent of its former Catholic glory, so is the archeological site underneath.
Could we pay for boat ride, tram and other commuting services using credit card or they only take cash?
Thanks
Hello Alexis and Louis, Can we buy Bus And Train tickets with the SBB App only for 1 person
Or
the app allows to buy ticket for 3 people too( considering ,if we have a swiss Half card for 3 people)
???? And,
if not ,Then Do all 3 of us need to install the app separately and buy the tickets separately on our individual phones ????
Also, Can the same app be used in Grindelwald or Do we need a separate app?
Is the yellow boats part of the public transportation that is included in city Geneva day pass, which is an add on to the full fare train ticket? Which I think it's valid for Zone 10. Am I right?
going to Geneva soon with Hubby he is on business , I have to plan my days , who would you recommend for a private tour ,as I have a hip problem , looking for a guide to help with the getting around tips and travel
How to visit CERN...and what can we see there as an outsider
How the weather in October?
are there any restaurants like tgi fridays or yard house with lots of beer and reasonable prices that play good music?
Hi Louis. Thanks for all the infos. I want to go to the Les Armures but I have a question. My wife doesn't eat cheese, so she might ask for a chicken plate. I love cheese and I'd like to ask a fondue. Do you know if she can order chicken and I can ask one fondue for one person (paying CHF 30) or there is a minimum 2 person rule for fondues?
You can order individual fondues at les armures!
@@TheTravelingSwiss Thank you!!!
HELLO
I LOVER YOUR VIDEOS VERY MUCH
DO YOU HAVE VIDEO IN OCTOBER ? AND HOW WEATHER LIKE IN INTERLAKEN ?? AND DO YOU RECOMMEND TO VISIT THIS AREA IN OCTOBER OR NOT ?
We have a full playlist for traveling in the fall, and a video for month by month in Switzerland
Im here because of Zino Davidoff
geneva is very beautiful of course but for me i like more montreux with the view ^^
Which hotel did you guys stay in?
We live in Geneva! But we love hotel les armures (we ate at their restaurant in this video)
Too bad Geneva hotels are extremely expensive. The airport hotels are on the cheaper side.
for a swiss person living in geneva, this is disappointingly superficial.
I will go to geneva in 2 days, do you have any recommandations
This is also where Satan lives
Consider Satan lucky.
Boring 😴
