I haven’t seen anyone explain the joke at 0:21 so I’ll explain just for you mr Canoe. In the country of Great Britain baked potatoes are called jacket potatoes because the potato has a soft and squishy texture on the inside and the peel has a hard texture like that of a jacket. This is funny (especially in the context of this video) because Joshua is making a Shepards pie which is a traditional British food from the country of Great Britain. So when he said let’s remove the jacket he’s referring to what brits call the peel of a potato hence why the joke is funny. This ads another layer to the joke that only British people will get as it is an amusing mistake. I hope you found this useful

Ligma fork modified as drill bit.
@@dianacflemingthat would be a great upgrade actually
This is probably the best thing you've made so far
YES! was like it's not shepherds since it's not mutton, beef is cottage! Love your clarification
I get so excited for these videos lol it’s healing me
I'm not saying you can't or shouldn't substitute broccoli for peas, but I do think you should use more than 4 pieces of broccoli
anyway this is one of the best looking things you've made yet, good work
I give this the British seal of approval - and you're right, this is a cottage pie. Well done
I love watching your videos because I always relate in a sense that "Oh I don't have these other ingredients. I guess I gotta improvise" LMAO
I want to see you do a B Dylan Hollis recipe. His chaotic energy alongside your expressionless monotone would be a great mix. Plus it would be like an innuendo contest.
I Like this channel a lot.... this reminds me of me when I'm trying new recipes but I don't have all the ingredients needed and instead improvising😂😂
I can listen to him speak all day
It's so soothing 😂😂
2:21 Light Yagami: I will grab a potato chip and…..eat it
Future Canoe: I will …..do a PhD on sour cream vs crème fresh instead 😂
Ahh yes, creme fresh
@@jeweetzelf734
Wouldn't want Creme Stale or Creme Spoiled, now would we?
@@cespie lol so, that's the thing about cremé fraiche...
hey man just wanted to say i love your intros they are so cool and creative
Spoiler alert: He got more raclette.
Your videos make me happy for no good reason
6:00 you cant just say that so casually XD
He checks the refrigerator and found broccoli 🥦 instead of 🫛 is GOLDEN 😂😂😂😂😂😂
6:23 how do you even miss that big ass pot
Your content literally cures me
the joke is that baked potatos are called jacket potatos in england so the skin is the potatos "jacket"
ohhhhh
Your comment about shepherd vs cottage pie releived my ancestral british outrage
7:05 when silence said for itself
this channel is the only way i'll ever watch joshua's content
6:30 your sister's sause 😂😂😂
You always manage to make the dish look greasy🤌
Even with what looks like extra lean ground beef lol
I mean.. I saw the thumbnail and yet I still was not prepared for 9:32
every video you make, makes me laugh man, i love it :'D
Best way to cook is by going to the store with a list and get everything you need. Then if you get home and find out you don’t have a few things then don’t worry about it. Cook what you have, not what you need. This guy gets that
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. "Waiting for your dad to come back with the milk". I just can't dude. I'm addicted to your deadpan delivery.
Fucking shout out to getting the distinction between Shepard's and cottage pie right, making us brits proud
It awes me how he always cuts it in the middle but then that’s his food so why would i tell him where to cut
We called baked potato “Jacket potato” in the uk. The jacket being the outside skin. It goes all crispy.
so far looks surprisingly edible
nevermind
@@rm_tzk hahaha
Until he added broccoli. Also until he forgot washing mushroom. Also until he cooked ground(poop) beef. When did this look edible to you again?
I actually always wondered what the difference between cream fraiche and sour cream was but could never be bothered to look it up so thank you for enlightening me
You should have enough Raclette to the point where you never have to even think, “Do I have enough cheese?”
