The FCDA should commence building middle and low cost housing projects in the areas around the various train stations ! If possible, they should encourage businesses, shopping malls too! This would encourage and generate the needed traffic on the trains up and down the route! Then the train service would be an absolute necessity to Abuja citizens rather than a tourist-like novelty!! 👊🏾🇳🇬👊🏾🇳🇬!!
@@osaigbovoahunwan4909 Spot on!!👍🏾! I agree! Like I said , it shouldn't be a novelty like some Disneyland ride, but a necessary artery to Abuja's social and economic life!! 👊🏾🇳🇬👊🏾🇳🇬!
You're very beautiful in your natural hair naomee, keep it up!❤I honestly think they should build a safari park on this train route, where passengers can watch elephants, zebra, lion, tiger etc from the train before they fill the route with shanty buildings. This is where Nigerian mindset is different from the west,in the west weekend train service is more important than weekdays actually.More people get to go to places on weekend than weekdays.I think they completed both phases, ldu to kubwa line as well as this down town to airport line.Thank you.
I agree completely with you on this… Would be good to have some amazing views. I was surprised when they said the train only operates on weekdays. I hope they’ll change that soon. Thanks again for the compliment 😊
If i may ask. Is the train self-drive? We do have similar train here called DRL or Dockland Rail that is self drive although they have a personnel who served as a driver and ticket checker at the same time and the personnel it can kick start the train from any carriage. Though the train stop authomatically on its own at all stations. Note this that DLR trains are different from Londonunderground trains. Congratulation and good ride next time.
@@stephenj9925 Hahahaha. Trust Nigerian if they see that the train is going towards that direction most of them will jump from the moving train. Daming any consequences.
Building a subway depends on the terrain. It's impossible in Lagos because of the water issue. It's not impossible in Abuja but there is no need to put it underground because it's not passing through any congested residential area. The main idea behind subways are to avoid demolishing properties. That's why some countries build their metro underground. As you can see there is nothing in the path of this train so putting it underground is very unnecessary plus it's expensive too.
They should have build a trams system instead of this train station.Abuja is not a commercial city.I don’t even know how Nigeria government think.like they are so backward with their thinking.a tram system build in the middle of the city center that cut across major busy neighborhood would have given the city a better look and generate more revenue for the NRC
This Abuja metro was commissioned in 2018 by president buhari. i used it twice in 2018 and 2019 from airport to metro station then .
I remember… we hope this continues.
@@NaomeeOboyi my younger sister used to be train operator then and she told me why the train stopped operation because no customer's.
@@chrisudoka5420 Wow!!!! I hope that they get the patronage needed to sustain the service.
@@NaomeeOboyi I don't think so .
@AfricaMediaNG my dear I used train in 2018 and airport station is just beside airport there. You will enter the light rail station from airport.

you have a very brilliant ideal
if possible the train should also connected to industrial park
I agree with you… I also think the government should consider creating more train routes, especially trains that can cover the Nyanya/Mararaba axis.

Why wasn't this subway mind asking? Not being rude or anything.
Na small small we will get that too for now appreciate good thing 😂
subway for this nigeria heat, without 24hrs light, imagine being stuck underground..this or elevated train like the one in lagos are the best.
You want the government to be spending all their revenue on building subway. Did you think money grow on trees.
