People in Tibet have a much better and happier life than those living in India, and the people of Xinjiang are more free and live in much better conditions than the people in Kashmir and Northeast India.
India can't even feed its population and still has 200 million people in dire poverty state.
As India likes to brags and demanding for recognitions, India remains lagging in almost whatever sectors you could name by leaps and bounds. India could have helped Nepal develop but so sad India has always been against development of Nepal. Now China is atleast helping Nepal develop.

Rail transportation is cheaper than highways. It will open up, increase trade between the two, reduce costs to NP. CCP's objectives are super long term. More trade more options for NP. Such is competition. Once an infrastructure is built, it serves. With CN if unable to cope with debt, CN will restructure for debtor as with RU, unlike the West. Western lenders will auction off the asset & sue for the balance owed if asset insufficient to clear debt. CCP not only wants common prosperity for its people but its neighbouring countries as well. CCP Propaganda Channel , what is the use of this railway line except for Military , there is already a roadway between China and Nepal, even if you build a Railway line, India can always send commodities at a much cheaper price to Nepal, Tibet is a desert you have to transport 3000km from Eastern regions of China to supply to Nepal , India can deliver it within 30km without the cost to build a tunnel through Himalayas , this is a plan to indebt and default Nepal like Sri Lanka, India is happy both China and Nepal will lose money in this project

This railway is very very very important to Nepal as Plan B. Hopefully in future, Bhutan too will have this Plan B. This Plan B is very very very important in every aspect in case Plan A can't work. If you are from Nepal or Bhutan, you should know very clearly what I mean.
