Ill Have to look into them! as I had said to someone else it was very cold when I was doing this so heat regulation was the opposite of my worries. Propane tank kept freezing while I was doing this haha.
You really need to speak up! Generally a slow heat of the crucible for first use is a good idea. Also after long storage. You probably should put something down to prevent any spills from getting on the concrete floor. The moisture in the concrete will cause a blowout of the surface if any spills get on it. For anyone new to casting, get yourself some boot protectors and chaps. A face shield for unexpected splatters. Leather gloves. Preheat the scrap to drive off as much moisture as possible to prevent hydrogen defects in the casting.
It's already happened! Definitely learned from that ad flying concrete while your pouring isn't a fun time😂😂 and I never really noticed that it was hard to hear, I'll keep that in mind next time! Thanks
I just bought a nelyrho furnace also a double burner on it Do you find it hard to regulate heat with nothing covering those air intake openings at beginning of burners Most furnaces have a single burner with a valve to let in more or less air Great video thanks
I havent had too much of an issue however it was extremely cold at the time I was doing this. I think one improvement would be some sort of intake regulator for sure. Sorry for late reply, away atm so havent been looking here.
i have the exact same vevor ... found some stainless sleeves that fit perfect over the burners and it really helps with startup

@@SummitFoundry I found that a 3/4" rigid EMT (internal) threaded coupling fits the burner tubes nicely, makes a great air intake regulator.
I wanted to ask if copper/bronze blends well with the VEVOR 12 KG. .? it's a good forge.? Thank you
Sorry for late reply. I havent tried that yet sorry. Im away at the moment but would love to try it once I get back!
Thanks!
No worries!
how many size your crucible?
4.4kg, which at full capacity is definitely heavy but is manageable.
