Thanks for making this great video. I wish this video was around when I had my Vaxhual Insignia last year. I literally had the same problem as this one. I took it to three different mechanics (including the Vaxhual dealership/repair shop in Belfast) and all of them were useless. some were saying I should change the engine, while others suggested replacing turbo. I ended up selling it unfixed.
You save car owners millions in unnecessary parts swapping I bet. Great work! Exhaust gas temp range looks worrying. -40 to the surface temp of the sun is apparently fine. I bet that would clear the exhaust system from the car entirely, solving everything 😄
Fantastic video, our car does a lot of low level drives, it’s a 64 plate and has the 2.0cdti with 40k miles, and I think it is the earlier engine compared to this one, would the same pipes apply to your video, we get the keep driving message a lot and noticed the resting idle revs seem to slightly fluctuate 800/1000 back and forth from time to time.
Sat watching this trying to figure out why the same message for me will not go away after 30mins on steady driving, 2mins into your vid and the car pinged and it went off 😂😂🤦🏻♂️✌🏻
Any advice would be awesome guys, I recently bought a similar spec to this vehicle as im commuting 100 miles daily in a new job up the motorway, but i am a little nervous having seen the horror stories 😅 1. Are there specific revs and amount of time the car should be used at for the car to run its regen cycle naturally? i have checked all the information that came with the car but i cant seem to find much info about these parameters. 2. Would the car need this cleaning done anyway at some stage even with its normal amount of regen being done on a regular basis? (i do lots of miles but if my wife drives it for a day or two just around town i was wondering would a regen be something i could do on the weekend taking it on a long run to try to offset this issue in the video needing to be done) 3. Is this mainly only caused by people not using their diesels on long motorway journeys and try to use it only in town driving or is the DPF blocking inevitable regardless of how you use the vehicle
Its weird I have this very problem but the intercooler pipe blew clean off then all of a sudden got dpf problems gonna have to try this myself how much cleaning fluid you recommend as I don't have a vacuum pump container like yourself. Cheer Josh
Hello, Im having a problem with my facelift Insignia 2.0cdti 14 plate. It keeps going into limp mode, it looses power and wont go over 3.5k rpm in neutral for like 20/30 seconds. I went for a diagnostic, and the guy found 2 error codes. One of them was from the turbo, he said it usually happens when the car stalls. The other one was the MAF. I got a new MAF and it seemed better for like 2 days and started happening again. But I've Ive noticed that after the DPF self cleaning procedure is done, it seems to be better for a while. It pulls much better. So Im wondering if maybe the DPF is too dirty. 🤔
Can you still do this if the car is in limp mode ? Same car 2018 but rebadged as a Holden P2463 + P24A4 codes... please help I have no one who can help me.. and dealer wants me to pay $4500 to replace the dpf which i cannot afford atm
When i tried to rev my engine on 3000 rpm while on neutral, car engine under the hood start producing smoke and can smell burning smell. Is this normal?
Measured soot is read by the DPF pressure I believe while the calculated soot is where the computer thinks the DPF condition should be by taking account of the driving style and age
Let's make a filter to clean particulates but it requires you to drive longer and harder during regens. Most pointless thing every. Nothing but trouble

Great video on a dpf clean and how satisfying watching the live data readings dropping down as you do it.
Thanks

Dpf King strikes again. These must be your bread and butter the amount you do.
It's mainly all I do now
Another great repair videos.. thanks
Your know how to clear those Dpf pal 👊👊👊👊
Thanks
Hi how long would you recommend to hold the accelerator down for? Cheers

Have a look at the turbo pipes. A split will make you lose boost pressure and make the car feel hard to drive
well done Irish....great vlogs.
Thank you
Another great fix 👍
Thank you Kevin
is this the one with the EGR, overboost, nav screen not working and then the glow plugs?
No this is a different one
Mines sitting at 87% soot will this come down on its own with self regens
Great video thank you

Yes I can
@@ORileysAutosthank you so much🙏 all fixed now, Cheers 💃 happy dance ☺️
Hi Jimmy , would you ever sell any of your old Autel equipment ?
I have the Autel DS808EU from this video direct from Autel Manager with same software as mk906 2 years old. £500
Or topdon Pheonix Plus brand new £750
@@ORileysAutos I would really like the ds808 but I haven’t got the money , thanks for coming back to me . Keep up the good work mate ..
Hi Jimmy
When i tried to rev my engine on 3000 rpm while on neutral, car engine under the hood start producing smoke and can smell burning smell.
Is this normal?
No it's not normal
Hi can I ask on vag group what is the difference between measured and calculated soot mass thanks
Measured soot is read by the DPF pressure I believe while the calculated soot is where the computer thinks the DPF condition should be by taking account of the driving style and age
@@ORileysAutos thanks jimmy
Thanks jimmy for another great informative video 👍
Hi, can this be done as a preventative measure, I have the same car with no problems but worry this will happen, these damn dpf filters 🙄
Yes it can
@@ORileysAutos ah thanks, do the dpf fuel additives work, the reviews are very positive
Wow fab job again .do you ever fail
Had a Mercedes recently couldn't get the DPF pressure within a reasonable level.
