The full moon which occurs in the month of Panguni is Panguni Uthiram. This day falls in the period, March - April. It marks an important festival honoring Lord Murugan, the youngest son of Lord Sivan and Goddess Parvathi. He is an important god to Tamils, so the festival is celebrated not only in India Tamilnadu, but across the globe.
