For context, it is heavily implied in the book that Arrax, the dragon of Lucerys, was hatched from an egg from Syrax, the dragon of Rhaenyra. So during that scene on the beach, two mothers are mourning the deaths of their children

Hector: "Did nobody train this kid?" Well, that's the one thing Otto didn't do in all of his scheming.

  • @nancyscogin7549

Adam, I'm glad you pointed out Aegon was never the intended heir. People are always blaming Viserys for not training him.

“Did nobody train this kid?” Well, no because… he’s not supposed to be King! 😂😂

Honestly, part of the reason I enjoy these reactions (and I have several I watch from people that know all the nerdy lore) is because of how irreverent you are about it. It's refreshing and funny and in some ways a nice palate cleanser.

Now Aegon is in the same position like his father Viserys. He has to choose an heir. HIs daughter or his brother. Great acting. Remember how Rhaenyra holds her son in her arm while they cry both. And now watch episode 2 and compare this to Alicent. Greetings from Germany😊

A lot of the places such as the sunsets on cliffs etc were filmed in my country wales, very privileged to have it featured

Helaena had foreseen what was about to happen when she said she was scared of the rats. It gave me chills the second time around I watched this episode. Love you guys

  • @Spike-pt4ni

Im pretty sure that lukes dragon that died was the child of Reneras dragon and thats why it cried out when they found the dragon body on the shore.

  • @dihboas

I believe Helaena saved Jaehaera instead of Jaeherys because she knew her son was destined to die someday as consequence of being the heir to the throne, in other words she only accelarated the inevitable.

  • @grayfox215th6

She mentioned earlier that the boy doesn’t want to be king. She’s a dreamer that can see the future and all the strange shit she says is a premonition.

To the stuff said in the beginning, I think the main criticism isn't that you haven't watched GoT or read the books, a lot of people haven't, that's totally fine. Why I thougt you guys, especially Hector, didn't like the show, was because you didn't really pay attention. You were confused about basic things, didn't catch obvious clues or didn't understand things that were explained in the show. It felt like you would watch the show because you know it's popular, not because you're interested, it felt like you guys didn't respect what so many of us love. Being angry or disappointed about that isn't unreasonable, you guys acting like this would be stupid or exaggerated and make jokes about us feels disrespectful.

  • @Skye_Writer

So, Helaena is what is known in Game of Thrones as being a "dragon dreamer," that is to say that she has visions and she interacts with the world differently from other people, she can't help it. (In today's parlance, she would be known as being "on the spectrum" and evidently that is the way that the actress, Phia, has been instructed to play her.)

I absolutely love that Daemon is trying to verbally spar with people and they keep coming at him from the top rope with the best points. Especially the twin who brings up the conflict of their oath when the royal family wars with itself. Giving him an interesting future parallel with Jaime Lannister when he brings up conflicting oaths.

"That was a cut! But, well done." - Me pointing at the very end of this video.

  • @Nick-is-Rad

He wasn't kidding when he said there was death beyond that wall.

they put a lot more effort into making whole sets this season compared to the last to make it more grounded and to steer away from being too vfx heavy (most of the money probably went to the dragons). they even created a matte painting for the city backdrop in the small council scenes

  • @sineaterdred1

Just fyi, this book is written as a historical account so that the emotions depicted in the series are supposed to be of the true events.
