Time for the evolution to cockpit view. Very nice rig. I like the space management. Obviously a 4 monitor would be 3 times as wide. But I like how the current configuration fits in the corner of the room, has everything you need and then frees up the rest of your room.
God it reminds me of how confused I was when I first received my Simlabs rig. I had to do a race, so I had to rush build.. took me half a day, by the time I got it sorted, I wasn't even able to adjust my seat and pedals properly. Had to just hop in to do my stint in a 6 hour on Zolder on ACC. The pain.. the absolute pain, racing with cut up fingers and being absolutely exhausted, just wanting to sleep.
What you said on min 28:00 about the difference with the GT seat position with the playseat formula one style was for me one of the most helpful things in this video. I always had that doubt on which ones to get but now I know I have to get a GT style seat. Thank you

@@user-jj6qg7dp6d Just some added safety, if the wheel starts doing things on it's own, you can kill it right then and there... and there's an integrated power button on the button box so you don't need to reach around the backside of the DD1 to turn it on. It's actually pretty useful.
@@user-jj6qg7dp6d adding to the comment above me, it also allows you to have some sort of safety in the future if he was to go to a simcube direct drive wheel so in the case of an emergency you would mount it near your foot so if something were to happen to your hands you can hit it with your feet instead of your hands.
im using an old foldable table with a logitech g920 and it costs like £250 and this man has got a 2-3 grand set-up that was pretty much all free except maybe the pc
That glass of water makes me anxious though 🙈. Even though it's on a seperate stand and not much can happen really, I would always prefer using a water bottle.

Could you add 4 larger gussets to your monitor stand base? That might help with the vertical sway. Great idea to separate the monitors from the motor(s). I do not believe monitors are built to handle vibrations. Over time, the connections will fault.
Dude, nice rig! My rig is about as basic ad you can get. I have a Logitech G920 Wheel, Pedals, and shifter on my school desk and my chair is a 80 year splintering chair😂
I moved my brake padle to the left and the clutch to the center so my feet are not so close together. I never use the clutchpedal in games and it is much beter now. Just a tip 👊🏻👍🏻
Wut? Why not just remove the clutch pedal if you're not going to use it? You could just move your clutch far more left and space out the brake and throttle. Would just be weird af to have the clutch where the brake should go...
Since having this for a while how do you find the F1 game in the GT position or is it just the same as getting used to it not having a rig? Debating getting the F-GT Elite for context

Ben, you might want to consider adding an "Emergency Stop/Cut-off" button to the rig for your Fanatec DD1 wheel base.
What does that add?
