It's logical that you dislike cutscenes in games. They take you out of the flow, kinda break that immersion you are in. In the last few years, many game designers try to avoid cutscenes because of that, and that's great.
Were both on the technical side of gaming.. Where skills, techniques and muscle memory is all it takes. And yeah, cutscenes just put us out on the "ZONE".. just like in kuroko no basket where ur are heating up then sudden ull take a sit- that kind of annoying feeling.
That’s why I’m currently sticking to shorter shows, even shounen , there are such good short shows like „Zetsuen no tempest“ or right now I’m watching and really enjoying „kekkai sensen“
For me 9/10 it's the journey. Erased, Darling in the Franxx etc. I don't care what anyone says, I enjoyed them a lot at some point, maybe the ending just doesn't affect me as much, but it really only knocks a potentially great anime down to a good or decent anime in my eyes. There's plenty of anime that aren't even good in the beginning or middle, let alone the end. If anything more time is spent on the journey and the end is only a really short part.
I like the journey, but the ending can define the journey, imo. While I don't really know if an ending can ruin a story, a good or bad ending (or even just a mediocre ending) can recontextualize everything that came before it. What's more, a shorter anime/story/whatever can have more inherent value to a person than an eternally ongoing one. You can get as invested in a 12 episode series as a 136 episode series, and the feelings you get when it ends definitively are proof of that. Cowboy Bebop, FLCL, Serial Experiments Lain, etc. are worth more to me than a hundred One Pieces or Dragon Balls. The destination can set the tone even more than everything that came before it, too. A bleak ending can make a rewatch of an otherwise upbeat series a sad or painful experience. A hopeful ending can turn a melancholy series into a great message about perseverance. And, I guess, a garbage ending can make a whole series feel like a waste of time. While the real treasure is the friends we made along the way, maybe it was all a dream and we made no friends?
Ivan Soto Hell yeah! Erased is what go me into really watching anime beyond the occasional movie even though the ending was iffy. Same with Darling in the Franxx. Everyone has things to say about it from the beginning (the characters being undeveloped, the weird “butt” control) yet even past the shitstorm of the ending, I was still into it. Even if the ending is terrible if I enjoy the majority of it, I’m still pretty satisfied (unless probably it’s a harem manga where I’m REALLY behind one character)
It seems like he just likes indie games or retro games. I mean it is what it is, but I can't understand his reasoning to skip cutscenes or hating on story. I guess he's just a multiplayer kind of guy.
Even my friend who farms for exp like crazy still watch cutscenes and reads stories from a mmorpg we're playing... Although, the rest of my friends didn't, cause they're not too into the game I guess.. what a shame, it has a pretty good story for a mobile rpg ;v but I'd bet Connor would press the skip button anyway...
@@reimonofr Alchemia Story, although the story might be slow at first, I came to like the world and characters. And because it's originally a japanese game released for international, expect weird and sometimes hilarious translations.. Other than that, the game is imo, pretty story oriented while keeping the balance of the MMO part of the game, like events, pve, and raid bosses. Btw, there's no guild, but more like a band of party in a system called "bond" so that's also unique. P.S: it's an Asobimo game.. so you can more or less guess that it's pretty good
I like reading and I've never played a video game so I really do see them as essentially interactive audio dramas or sometimes like higurashi and Umineko not even interactive.
Sing Yesterday was rushed for having 100 chapters so it would seem rushed and make it a forgetful anime. Domestic Girlfriend is the 2015 Superbowel with the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots. We were at the touchdown and had to just run it. Nope we threw the ball and intercepted and I will never not be pissed at that.
Lol I was at that game seated in a section that was all Seahawks fans. I didnt care who won and started dying laughing when it was intercepted. I was expecting to suddenly get a bunch of people giving me an evil eye but I think they were still in too much shock processing what happened
The ending was even worse for me because in this case I was the #1 Seahawks fan who had spent thousands to fly out with some nice ass seats and fully dressed up only for them to throw it (“Seahawks” is still waifu af tho)
@@luiscuadras1963 I got the ticket from my cousin who was on some committee that was hired to handle getting the funding together for the city of Phoenix to host the game and he had an extra ticket because his brother couldnt go. He was up in one of the boxes when it happened and according to what he overheard, Carroll had wanted them to run the ball with Lynch for the first play, and if he didnt get into the endzone then to do a pass for the 2nd down. There was some kind of misunderstanding on the field and the players wound up thinking he wanted them to do a pass first down and run 2nd. That makes it suck even more if its true
@@dragolax This comment section has me dying, and I love how I watch football and anime and still get the references. Lol if Seattle had run the ball they may have saved Tom Brady from getting another ring 😂
Omg.. Honestly, I was in a situation yesterday when I just could not remember this word. I kept searching and searching my mind, I couldn't remember it. I knew it started with "pre", but I just had to give up an say, "Eh, I'll remember it later; that always happens." And now it's like fate that you said that and I read your comment
I feel like, a lot of people with entertainment get caught "chasing the dragon" they want that high, that they felt the first time they got their mind blown by something. And honestly, that feeling is VERY rare, and the more you go looking for it, the harder I think it is to really find it. You kind of just have to let it come to you when it does. Don't try so hard to recreate that experience for yourself, let it happen naturally like it did the first time.
Mine is from exploring new interesting environment but modern games almost always go for huge open world with little to no personality so it's almost impossible for me to get that rush now
This. I feel like Connor is pretty much right on the money with his strategy. Just watch what looks fun to you and if it is actually something amazing, great, you just had your mind blown, yay! If it isn't, you still had an interesting experience, even if it's just ranting at your friends for 2 hours because of how much of a letdown it was 🤭 Everytime I had an amazing experience with an anime as an adult was when I just blindly went for what I thought looked enjoyable. Everytime I watched something promised to be amazing, it was a letdown due to the expectations that kind of reputation creates. I know as adults our time is more precious because there's less of it, but by holding onto it too tightly, we create the conditions ourselves that lead to us not actually enjoying the time we have. That just seems silly...
for the most part, I can get that high pretty often by not restricting what I watch, from anime, manga, ln, vn, dramas, movies I have a huge backlog of good stuff. Like I don't recall reading anything less than 7/10 in terms of enjoyment almost ever unless I'm just trying something out
I’ve watched 35 anime in the past two months since I started for the first time, and the only that I truly enjoyed were Steins;Gate, Death Note, Made in Abyss, Frieren, and Parasyte
When connor was taking about how he used to make spreadsheets on what vacuum cleaner to buy it reminded me of when i spent a whole hour making a spreadsheet of where to start in the fate series and then just ended up watchiing unlimited blade works fate zero and apochrypha
seriously, i tried to watch the fate series starting at UBW since its on netflix but i just dropped it at ep 10 because of how complicated it was to finish when i searched of its origins
@@kenzacharyrodriguez2591 Fate/stay night, Unlimited Blade Works, and Heaven’s Feel - it’s as easy as that really. The others like Fate/Zero, Aprocrypha, and Grand Order are spin-offs so you can just look at them any time.
I just went to google and copied the first reddit answer I found about the watch order 🤷♀️ I watched 3 episodes and decided that the entire Fate franchise is garbage, so I'm incredibly glad I didn't waste any time on figuring out the watch order because I'd be like "wow I spent more time on figuring out how to watch it than I actually watching the series itsself".
@@madapigi1 I heavily disagree. I think Haru's character was very interesting compared to the other two and that guy who liked Haru. The start just hinted that Haru had something special and the guy will somehow see her good side and maybe change him in a way and we'll have a satisfying story. Like she's supposed to be a manic pixie dream girl (or whatever you call them) but she actually has her own issues and that's why he can relate to her, like they're supposed to have similar problems but with different solutions. I compared this to one of my faves "I wanna eat your pancreas" because the chemistry between them is similar in a way, but I wanna eat your pancreas knew how to end their story even if it was a miss for some fans, it did it's job pretty well
Honestly, I don't think team Hina could be satisfied with it either. She was so behind in every way possible that the author had to basically appear as God in the story to brainwash Natsuo and carry Hina onto the podium. BECAUSE SHE WASN'T EVEN CONSCIOUS TO EVEN TRY TO GET THERE BY HERSELF. JESUS WHY
"She got beaten by a vegetable!" XD Seriously, the ending is just the author chickening out in the last 10 chapters because of the backlash and death threats received from stupid fanboys. I bet the author's intention was to end with Natsuo and Rui married, maybe taking care of a disabled Hina (or maybe no car accident at all). What's worse, even after the whole bullshit accident and Rui deciding not to marry and caring for Hina until she suddenly wakes up, I really thought "Man, the madlad author is actually going for a harem ending where they all live happily together without any marriage!". And then comes the throw of the century, totally unneeded. It's fucked up when a harem ending makes more sense!
When you are younger, you have more time and are more possitive about doing things. Getting older also means less time and less motivations to do things, so you just don't wanna waste
The brain also gets worse at absorbing new data, so we come to prefer familiarity. It's no coincidence that most anime fans enjoyed Pokémon or Dragon Ball as children.
Its sad 😅😅😅 you know i actually dropped it in 3rd episode 2 yr ago Then i watched it with break break with my brother but still no completed Same goes for dororo nana(half)😅
Ok so funny thing : i watched gigguk tweets on 'Sing yesterday for me' and was like 'oh this dude is overselling this anime and it's going to be meh' and then watched it and now i feel like i'm the only one who absolutely loved it... like ok the end is rushed and stuff, but it moved me and i feel like i needed to say it
nono jachez I’m totally with you man, and after reading through the manga it’s really become a special series to me. The ending of the anime was a little rough but it was the heart behind the series that made me read the manga and really fall in love with it rather than just moving on from the anime with the opinion of “meh this was gonna be great until the ending was rushed”
I fucking loved it till the last ep, as I thought it would have 18 eps (they made 12 ep and 6 specials), and the story has a lot to offer and it would be fleshed out. But nope.
I really like Sing Yesterday for Me for the most part. It's been a long time since I've seen an anime have an atmosphere and vibe as relaxing as that. Despite how it went, I'm just glad Haru got the happiness she deserved. But Domestic Girlfriend is just a pure moshpit dumpster fire 😂
Yeah I feel like people miss the point of the show, I don’t think it’s supposed to be a satisfying story, it’s supposed to be realistic take on a bunch of people who have no idea what to do with their lives so it can be frustrating to watch, it’s like they said “life doesn’t have good endings”. That’s why it gives off such a thick atmosphere

I've turned the opposite leaf as Connor when it comes to anime. I used to be able to consume pretty much anything and come out the other side feeling at least a little satisfied. Now I'm much more selective and can only really stomach what interests me the most. In doing so I've been finding more series that I really love since I dedicate more effort to only spending time on what truly engrosses me.
'Sing Yesterday For Me' was such a letdown lol. I love how they introduce a character for one episode to immediately just throw them away and barely have any impact on the story at all. Plus the ending sucked so bad. "I realised I love you" really? Like you wasted 12 whole episodes just so you could finally realise that? and she accepted it? The show didn't even explain why Haru was into the MC in the first place like damn.
@@retrolyzee It's tough to say whether or not it's worth a watch imo. Ultimately, it's a show about different people and how life affects them, and the presentation is gorgeous. That being said, it definitely has its flaws.

Love you 😉
They cut out the entire second half of Sing Yesterday For Me's manga. It physically hurt when I found out and read the whole thing. That second half is good as well.
When I finished it, I went to the manga and the ending in that is just as half baked and rushed. I think this anime needed anime original content or manga itself needed to be longer
Eh, based on what I've heard about the manga ending it can't really be any better. If the endgame couple is the same as in the anime, there is no way to make that work. It's one of the worst pairings in recent anime and I say this as someone who usually doesn't give a shit about shipping
holy shit this concept of maximising vs being satisfied - and decision fatigue - hits soooo close to home for me. I whip out the spreadsheets to compare EVERYTHING. Some things it makes sense, like big ticket items and things that matter, like which house you'll rent out from a list of options, or which second hand car to buy. But I went to the same lengths for small stuff, like which phone plan will be the cheapest out of every option when all of them were less than $5 per week, or choosing a digital scale for weighing things, which was like $50 and almost all of them were the same.
I love that you guys are releasing snippets of the recent podcasts. It really helps students like me, who are cramming their studies and want to be up-to-date with the podcasts, catch up to Trash Taste! Also... VNs are basically colorized and digitized manga? I dont even know if I can recommend it to anyone although art and the asethic of the show is still great and great ending songs.
The animation and OST was pretty consistent imo and the series was supposed to run for 18 episodes so I guess they had to work with what they got. mid 7 to very light 8
@@jamesjucutan4453Ya animation and ost was great. The 5 episodes everyone thought it was going to have was actually shorts after some episodes I believe. @@simplyagamer17 Bad news for you then. The ending in the anime is the ending in the manga. They just cut out an important arc which was basically the climax of the story. And the manga was completed in 2015

Thank you for saving me I’m still dreadfully watching darling in the franxx after dreadfully finishing akame ga kill yesterday why did I watch that why am I watching darling. Thank you.
i understand what connor was saying about story in video games. a lot of linear stories just end up being boring just because you want to explore the environment of the game vs being forced through a certain path. and at the end of the day, everybody gets the same ending so it might not feel as good when finishing a game. the main thing with games like TLOU is that all you can really do after finishing it is go achievement hunting. whereas with a strictly multiplayer/"story-less" game (such as roguelikes and such) there is a desire to get better and improve. something that games with just a straight up difficulty slider cant really accomplish. on top of that, a multiplayer game can have a lot of replayablity depending on several different factors (friends, multiplayer experience, content updates, server connection/quality, gamemode updates, etc.) ofc there are plenty of individual preferences to things like video games and it really doesnt matter as long as youre having fun :)
I love how gigguk is that one friend with a few obsessions,,,, and everytime he gets te chance he'll bring that shit right back up. Its amazing how he gets fate and domestic girlfriend in every episode
I genuinely loved Sing "Yesterday" for Me. Beginning to end. It seemed a more real-life view of relationships than the romanticized version that you get in anime manga or other media. The art style was fantastic! A lot of subtle details and expressions.
Personally I loved it and hated to see that it was used as a bad example here but I respect people's opinions and I love the the show really, even if it came to a rushed end, just to see the look on haru and uzoumi's face of relief and that they finally found their love for one another
Spencer Harrod That's understandable if you like the characters, but I personally found most of them incredibly unlikable, which robbed the ending of its emotional impact and just left the bare bones of its unlogical, shitty writing visible
I kinda feel the same, the characters felt actually relatable but I do think the ending was not bad but kinda quickly run trough. Could‘ve taken a bit more time
Trying to read Grisaia VN series without checking out the synopsis beforehand might actually do the trick. And for even more pleasant experience - the best way to read a visual novel is to read it in your bed, right until the very moment you fall asleep. Sometimes it creates such a unique experience that I'm not sure it's even possible to explain: you feel tired and you give up your connection to this physical world, and then you just dive deep into the world of 2D waifus. Five or ten minutes later you start losing consciousness, but you're still trying to read more lines... until you press "save" and finally fall asleep. You repeat this process everyday for a week or a month, depending on VN's length, and an obnoxiously long visual novel becomes your trusty companion on the way to the world of sweet dreams.
Dude, there's such an easy solution right ther on the surface... Just don't think of story heavy video games as video game. Think of them as something separate.
Even tho I disagreed with basically all of Connor's takes (since some stories in games are some of if not the best stories in any medium I've experienced, like Mass Effect, Yakuza, Nier, etc.), I disagreed with Gigguk for a bit there too. I watch, play, and read a metric ton of stuff each season, but I don't think that there's a single one that I'll ever forget. He said that he'd forget SYfM in a month, and maybe even Domestic Girlfriend somewhere down the road. Personally, no matter if I loved it or hated it, if I experience a story, then most if not all of what was there in it is something I'm always gonna remember, no matter how many years pass. Everything from the top tiers that everyone seems to love like Steins Gate, to the most meh of the mehs like Guilty Crown, to the ones that were ruined or bad at big points like Domestic Girlfriend, I don't think it's possible for me to ever forget them. Or anyone to really, I think people might only think they forget about it since they choose to let the memories go or not care as much while watching. Case and point, I saw the original FMA when I was around 6 or so, and only watched it through once. Then a few years ago I watched it again, when I was around 18. Even tho it was over a decade later and I only saw it once before, I was still able to quote some of the episodes most of the way through TLDR: I don't think any show, game, movie, or novel is ever gonna really be forgotten by any of us, at least not unless we choose to not make it memorable for us or if we have some sort of brain damage lmao
i guess what gigguk is trying to say is that some anime is just so meh bland or generic that eventually you will forget about it along the way. anime good or bad as long as they made an impression on you will always be unforgettable. like for example if you will ask me whats the worst anime that i watched i will remember the show (kings game) since its so bad that its etched in my memory.
I though Domestic Girlfriend was going to be interesting because of the Op but guess what I was wrong I was excited for that anime too I watched it first day it came out
The best form of world building in gameplay is the style meter in Devil May Cry. The idea of your main characters going out of their way to look as cool as possible in cutscene perfectly embodied into a gameplay mechanic.
Oh to the life of being a fan of shows that everyone hates. Reply and name your favorite shows that are constantly crapped on. For me it's Bleach, Fairy Tail, Domestic Girlfriend (I still recommend the manga), and Sing Yesterday For Me.
The Rising of the Shield Hero, I get that it's not an anime for everyone (and it's a dumpster fire for some) but it still holds a precious place in my heart. I've read the manga and light novels as well and I'm pretty hopeful for season 2, pretty awesome arc coming up. Hope everything goes well, Shield bro needs love.
Connor, if you played more story games, you’d remember the word is “predisposed” lol - story games are fantastic. It’s more tactical in a lot of ways compared to mindless shooters, too. It makes you think. Don’t get me wrong, I also enjoy mindless shooters and racking up elims, but I couldn’t only play those games 😨
I feel like I'm at that stage of not caring for anything so much that it's turned to laziness... I hate being idle and wasting my time, so this is torture when I have no motivation to care to move. I need to move.
Interesting points for sure. I experienced the choice fatigue at a young age. Once I started thinking about how I was blown away by many experiences, it was all down hill. I think that I learned to be ok with most things. And that definitely crossed over to what I watch and play. I can just watch anything nowadays lol. And since I like seeing things through, it’s not really important if it was “great” or not
Exactly! Exactly, Connor! You explained really well. I used to be like that where nothing really satisfied me and I’d get mad at little things lol.... Anime after anime and even with other things. Then maybe I grew up and realized that it doesn’t even matter. I watch for entertainment and people are who they are and that can’t change and etc. I feel like I see life in a whole different way and I’ve become super chill now.
I absolutely loved sing yesterday for me. Though I definitely recommend the manga since i do agree the anime was rushed, but it was still worth it. Even if you think the ending was boring, given the story, i thought it was great. Because often in life it can be stagnant. Shinako still not being able to move on is a good example of how sometimes we as people can sometimes stay stagnant in life, not being able to move on from a loved is something no one should guilt you on. Not everyone in the real world gets a major character development like in anime. Rikou realizing that Shinako is still stuck in the past and moving on from her was the right thing to do, you can't force people move on from their past no matter how long they've been stuck there just for your own selfishness. Idk people give Shinakp shit but that's my two cents on it. Great anime/manga
Excuse me? Sing Yesterday was a waste of time? That....That....THAT IS SOOOOO.....!!!! True. The last episode was a twist but I'm glad the REAL best girl won in the end
Building off of Connors point at the start about maximizer vs satisfier, I'd say this like an axis of how someone might approach a decision. I'm a bit biased since I'm an engineer saying this, I think the more something is going to cost you the more you should analyze and compare your options. Lunch? Just pick something nice don't dwell on it. University you wanna go to? Spend a good month or so analyzing your options
Was I the only one that wasn’t cheering for Haru in sing yesterday. It felt so undeserved. She was just like damn, he picked up my paper, guess ima love him.
She was also very pushy, if she was a guy then she would be a creep but because she is a cute odd girl then its okay. Think I dropped it after a couple of episodes
@@uu9276 I understand, I dont really have the patience for that kind of animes, especially if the guy or girl has to choose, then im out because they usually choose the wrong person.
@@Nakiimushi imo if you still haven't watched it *after 6 months* He chose the right girl, but he's the wrong person. Like, the first episode hinted that he would fall with this girl, and he did, according to them. The ending felt like he didn't even seemed like he sees her as a potential partner, he just saw her as backup plan if he falls out of love with Shinako. In other words, they chose the right destination, but travelled the wrong path I think Haru is best girl and the first part seemed like they belong to each other, but as the series went on, it doesn't feel like that anymore. They barely explained why Haru fell in love with him and they didn't bother explaining why he fell in love with Haru except for the fact that he saw her as back-up girlfriend. I know they didn't mean to do that but that's what they showed me. I think Haru is best girl because they kinda did something new with her. Because her take on lobe is interesting to me, like she's in a crisis where she doesn't know what love is and how other people see it compared to how she sees it. I'm just a sucker for these type of characters If you wanna know hoe I feel like, watch "I want to eat your pancreas" It's basically what would happen if their relationship was done better
Before I used to play without caring about stories too and for relieving stress from school life which made me unemotional but life was easy just wasting time but now I just overthink about everything and be careful about what to say and what not. I used to relate to Connor but I'm changing, I enjoy stories in games now. Makes me more emotional. Idk which is good tho emotions and caring about things made me realise responsibilities but it was easy to waste time and have no worries it was good for mental health.

It's logical that you dislike cutscenes in games. They take you out of the flow, kinda break that immersion you are in.
In the last few years, many game designers try to avoid cutscenes because of that, and that's great.

Definitively the One Piece
Like with erased 10/12 episodes were insane then the last 2 were not good doesn’t mean erased was a bad show
Ivan Soto Hell yeah!

The word Connor was looking for was "predisposed".
I was thinking of "inclined".
Naiuhz No I don’t think taste goes with inclined
He commented, and you're right.
no, it's susceptible
If it isn't, you still had an interesting experience, even if it's just ranting at your friends for 2 hours because of how much of a letdown it was 🤭
Everytime I had an amazing experience with an anime as an adult was when I just blindly went for what I thought looked enjoyable.

Like she's supposed to be a manic pixie dream girl (or whatever you call them) but she actually has her own issues and that's why he can relate to her, like they're supposed to have similar problems but with different solutions.
JESUS WHY
"She got beaten by a vegetable!" XD
Seriously, the ending is just the author chickening out in the last 10 chapters because of the backlash and death threats received from stupid fanboys.
It's fucked up when a harem ending makes more sense!

holy shit this concept of maximising vs being satisfied - and decision fatigue - hits soooo close to home for me.
I just realised how different these guys are from each other and still manage to be great friends, great job guys.

i understand what connor was saying about story in video games. a lot of linear stories just end up being boring just because you want to explore the environment of the game vs being forced through a certain path. and at the end of the day, everybody gets the same ending so it might not feel as good when finishing a game. the main thing with games like TLOU is that all you can really do after finishing it is go achievement hunting. whereas with a strictly multiplayer/"story-less" game (such as roguelikes and such) there is a desire to get better and improve. something that games with just a straight up difficulty slider cant really accomplish. on top of that, a multiplayer game can have a lot of replayablity depending on several different factors (friends, multiplayer experience, content updates, server connection/quality, gamemode updates, etc.) ofc there are plenty of individual preferences to things like video games and it really doesnt matter as long as youre having fun :)

Even tho it was over a decade later and I only saw it once before, I was still able to quote some of the episodes most of the way through
TLDR: I don't think any show, game, movie, or novel is ever gonna really be forgotten by any of us, at least not unless we choose to not make it memorable for us or if we have some sort of brain damage lmao
i guess what gigguk is trying to say is that some anime is just so meh bland or generic that eventually you will forget about it along the way. anime good or bad as long as they made an impression on you will always be unforgettable.
like for example if you will ask me whats the worst anime that i watched i will remember the show (kings game) since its so bad that its etched in my memory.
Alternate title: Monke teaches monk about peace and acceptance.
I though Domestic Girlfriend was going to be interesting because of the Op but guess what I was wrong I was excited for that anime too I watched it first day it came out
It’s good but I can see why someone wouldn’t like it. It’s basically an anime soap opera. Btw love Toradora too mate

The best form of world building in gameplay is the style meter in Devil May Cry. The idea of your main characters going out of their way to look as cool as possible in cutscene perfectly embodied into a gameplay mechanic.

He just pulled out a Smart one on the gigguk. Seems like we 2 have connections.
Here have a beer.
He would have been happy
Oh to the life of being a fan of shows that everyone hates.

For me it's Bleach, Fairy Tail, Domestic Girlfriend (I still recommend the manga), and Sing Yesterday For Me.

I'm not messing a lot of people think I am when I ensure with stuff like this
The end of Domestic Girlfriend's manga completely cannonballs the entire plot. Please hard skip.
Kill la Kill and SerVamp!!
They may be on the older side, but I just can't stop rewatching them!
@@shanlanglyngdoh5965 It's not love, I heard it was popular
Connor, if you played more story games, you’d remember the word is “predisposed” lol - story games are fantastic. It’s more tactical in a lot of ways compared to mindless shooters, too. It makes you think. Don’t get me wrong, I also enjoy mindless shooters and racking up elims, but I couldn’t only play those games 😨
"I’d watch a league of legends anime”, little did he know.
I feel like I'm at that stage of not caring for anything so much that it's turned to laziness... I hate being idle and wasting my time, so this is torture when I have no motivation to care to move. I need to move.
Me putting aside all the shounen anime for stuff like Monogatari and Fate
Because they are better
Heh me too. No regret though.
Smart move
They are the only long franchise(with so many episodes) i have watched along with gintama
Anime is subjective.
I like shounen you don't.
As simple as that.
i think the word connor was looking for was “inclined” ?
Yes or having a predisposition
School Days catch phrase:
“School Days the anime that wastes everyone’s time.”
Connor sees anime as just “something to talk about” also known as CONTENT
Excuse me?
Sing Yesterday was a waste of time?
That....That....THAT IS SOOOOO.....!!!!
True.
The last episode was a twist but I'm glad the REAL best girl won in the end
I only watched it because I liked Sayuri's song lol
I never skipped that ending once, it was kinda creative
Building off of Connors point at the start about maximizer vs satisfier, I'd say this like an axis of how someone might approach a decision. I'm a bit biased since I'm an engineer saying this, I think the more something is going to cost you the more you should analyze and compare your options. Lunch? Just pick something nice don't dwell on it. University you wanna go to? Spend a good month or so analyzing your options
Opportunity cost is such a powerful concept - you don't need to make the best decision, you just need to make a better one.
THERES NO SKILL IN THE LAST OF US?? I worked so hard to make it through that hospital at the end Conner-
Same, last of us made me anxious as hell
Connor's a gamer
Was I the only one that wasn’t cheering for Haru in sing yesterday. It felt so undeserved. She was just like damn, he picked up my paper, guess ima love him.
She was also very pushy, if she was a guy then she would be a creep but because she is a cute odd girl then its okay. Think I dropped it after a couple of episodes
Sandra L I mean I still enjoyed it. Just wasn’t cheering for haru. Idk the first half of it was pretty good, but they ended it in such a bad way.
@@uu9276 I understand, I dont really have the patience for that kind of animes, especially if the guy or girl has to choose, then im out because they usually choose the wrong person.
@@Nakiimushi imo if you still haven't watched it *after 6 months*
He chose the right girl, but he's the wrong person. Like, the first episode hinted that he would fall with this girl, and he did, according to them. The ending felt like he didn't even seemed like he sees her as a potential partner, he just saw her as backup plan if he falls out of love with Shinako.
In other words, they chose the right destination, but travelled the wrong path
I think Haru is best girl and the first part seemed like they belong to each other, but as the series went on, it doesn't feel like that anymore.
I'm just a sucker for these type of characters
If you wanna know hoe I feel like, watch "I want to eat your pancreas"
It's basically what would happen if their relationship was done better
She annoyed tf out of me
Best way to be surprised and happy about an anime is to not have expectations

Ahh i'll watch it later
Before I used to play without caring about stories too and for relieving stress from school life which made me unemotional but life was easy just wasting time but now I just overthink about everything and be careful about what to say and what not. I used to relate to Connor but I'm changing, I enjoy stories in games now. Makes me more emotional. Idk which is good tho emotions and caring about things made me realise responsibilities but it was easy to waste time and have no worries it was good for mental health.
