Carl, 2 questions. What size is the Ammo box? and how did you you loose the weight? I have a Hondakon ans want to put a chain saw scabbard, an 45-70 scabbard and an ammo box for carrying:) Thanks
I'll have to check the size of the box tomorrow. I love having the chainsaw on the Rokon. I also carry a set of long handled loppers as well. As far as the weight loss. I strictly followed the Ketogenic diet as described by Dr Ken D Berry MD. Although the only sweetener I use us liquid sucralose and Stevia. Even though Dr Berry recommends monk fruit sweetener I have found out that it can raise you blood insulin levels. But I digress. That's the only thing I disagree with concerning Dr B. I suggest you find him on TH-cam and watch as many videos as you can. Over and over again. Also, although much of it may not apply to you. I give an important warning about keto on the interview video. I suggest you watch it.
I painted over the info on the box. I have another on my other Rokon, but its at a shop right now. I'm going to try to get by there tonight and get that information for you.
@@adventuresincampingwithcar8622 I purchased some 40mm cans that are the biggest I could find. approx 18.25" x 6" x 9.75"h Need to plan how to attach. Any advice? We can switch over to FB if you want.
@@joebuford5212,I used some 3/16" x 1" flat bar. Made an off set to keep the box a little bit off of the side of the bike. I over drilled the top holes on my brackets to match where the old box was mounted. To allow some fudge factor. then welded the bars to the box. If you can't weld, then drill thru and bolt tightly. The other option is to make an upside down "U" bend. Hang it over the cargo frame and run a bolt through your bracket to keep the box from coming off. Don't drill any of the bikes frame tubing. It will weaken the frame. Don't forget to anchor the bottom of the box or that thing will drive you nuts banging against the bike frame.
You are absolutely correct. I just enjoy riding my Rokon. I do however walk the trails quite frequently as well. I appreciate your concern for my health. exercise is very important, I get a lot of that at work as well. I am a professional Blacksmith and get a good bit at in my shop. I even wear a pedometer during the day. I get roughly 9000 step a day. I don't know how many videos of mine you have watched. If you go back to my earlier videos you will see a big change. I have lost 150lbs. That alone has made a tremendous difference.

You could save the cost of the Rokon by walking those trails instead of riding. And as an added benefit you will save your life doing it that way.
