At last we have finally managed to get this girl to go full term, she is well known for eating her suiters and then eating the egg sacs!!!
Today all the hard work has paid off.

It doesn't look like any loss at all. It's been looking like things have been in a bit of a slump with egg sacks being half bad. Going to two tubs full of slings is a nice change especially when the spider in question has been such a challenge. Huge win. Congratulations.

What an amazing egg sac! I'm so happy you finally got a viable sac from her, maybe now that she's had a successful one she'll settle down a bit more if you have her pair up some more. Maybe she'll even be a bit more gentle with her gentlemen callers! It looked like the babies were very hearty and strong.

Wow, just wow! Apart from the unfortunate endings for many a male, in this project what a result! I’ve never known you to of had an egg sac this large, please correct me if I’m wrong. I hope as many as possible survive to become part of others breeding programs along with your own or to add to another happy person in the hobby.

Too bad you lost the male. From the length of the copulation and the number of babies produced, he must have been pretty potent.
When you opened the sac I guessed 188 then you emptied it out and I went 288, then you put the number on screen - wowza! That just about makes up for the eaten males/sacs
It seems of all the Chilobrachys the Krachen loves to eat their partner and eggs the most, Do you find the rest of the genus behave even close to the same way ????
Most are fine but this girl is all out on her own 😂

For years I have been trying to breed an albino species of guppies and it just has not worked out. I have yet to get any babies and it’s making me so frustrated.
