Gorgeous Apple Roses!!

Y'all these are so pretty!! I will use a sweet medium sized apple and next time I think I will try caramel sauce instead of apple butter as the glue. You could also soften butter and mix it with about 1/4 cup of sugar and spread it as your glue. I think all those options will yield a sweeter rose. I think they are gorgeous, and they are good!! You can also sprinkle with powdered sugar, so many options with these.
Apple Roses
Ingredients
1 sheet puff pastry dough
3 tablespoons apple butter
2 Honeycrisp apples
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 cup water
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 cup of sugar
Directions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a muffin tin.
Core the apples and slice them thinly. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the apple slices, lemon juice, and water. Microwave for about 3 minutes to soften the apples.
Roll out the puff pastry dough on a floured surface and cut it into 6 strips.
Spread a thin layer of apple butter on each strip of dough.
Arrange the apple slices along one edge of each strip, overlapping slightly, with the rounded sides sticking out.
Sprinkle the apple slices with cinnamon and sugar.
Fold the bottom half of the dough over the apple slices and roll up each strip to form a rose shape.
Place each rose in a greased muffin tin.
Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, until the pastry is golden brown and the apples are tender.
Let cool slightly before serving.
