CNN's track record when it comes to truthful reporting is very shaky. The reporting starts with a pre-determined narrative and the stories are weaved to fit the narrative. It seems like , where ever the main street media (CNN) disseminates these falsehoods , it fans the flames of war instead of preventing it.

From the nature of TPLF, it is likely that themselves kill the civilians and blame other parties. So sad to play dirty game on the lives of innocent civilians. CNN your one sided report won’t benefit these civilians rather worsens the suffering. Be positive and report the truth otherwise we are in the information era and your trustworthiness will be questionable as there several ways of getting information.

You know the journalist (Nima Elbagi) is Sudanese and she is biased on her reporting coz she supports her government (Sudan) over border dispute with Ethiopia which lead to clashes recently. She also supports her government (Sudan) over the Ethiopian Dam which has attracted the attention of global players including the US, China, and Gulf States beside AU and EU. Therefore one can never take her reports seriously because she has her own sinister motives and indirectly serving the interest of Sudanese government through her biased reporting to discredit the Ethiopian and Eritrean authorities..

Look how emotional the reporter is without even asking the deceased was a combatant or not. When she was told about the rape allegations she didn’t even ask who the perpetrators are. And the soldiers were simply saying talk to our commander first. How is that wrong? I do not condone any atrocities on civilians whatsoever, however reporting on such allegations has to be balanced as much as possible. Which we don’t see here clearly. I’m a former journalist who knows what I’m talking about.

@@mikew735 believe it or not, this reporting will cause more suffering. The conflict started when the tigray regional government attempted an armed insurrection against the federal government. The civilian suffering is real and sad. Because of the reporter's lack of understanding of the root cause of the issue, she presented the aggressors as the victims ( i am not referring to civilians. I am referring to the "tigrean forces"). Also, just because she was initially barred from crossing a check point "aid is being blocked with impunity ". This is an example of vengeful reporting. Now let me outline how she made a bad situation worse. She thinks she saw "tigrean forces" and went thru a town controlled by them. If true, within hours of this video being released, the federal forces will go on a "liberation" mission causing more suffering. If she was mislead, the government will use it as a guise to block access to reporters. The "tigrean forces" are remnants of the group that started insurrection. A real reporter would interview these "forces" and ask why they started a conflict that caused such suffering. So you see, its complicated. A surviving victim of a car accident can be the drunk driver's child inside the car who dearly loves the driver irrespective of the damage they caused.
