    You have earned my subscription! Happy you told everyone where this was. We live on table rock and didn’t know this spot. Very kind of you brother. Great rig, family and video. “ she wants to stay “ this was a camping victory for everyone of us that’s spent the $ to make these trips happen. No cell phone just fire and friendship. Big win.

    I wonder why it is that when a person makes a video of their awesome time camping and introducing their family, which is a rare happening I might add, that you get idiots that will dislike the video. Here’s a message for you creeps, BE NICE or BE GONE. You have no idea how difficult it is to make these videos. This is such a good video with great music and scenes. Wish I had the opportunity. thanks for sharing. Aloha from Hawaii.

    I just purchased a Gobi rack with the anticipation of ordering a rooftop tent. I never thought of being able to fit kids down at the bottom of an Annex that is really cool. I'm btwn a pop up and fold out like this one. I'm wondering if this would be possible with a pop up, maybe only with the fold out?

    Looks like a great setup. What model fridge do you have? Do you find it is big enough?

    • @OverlandAddict
      @OverlandAddict  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Greg Macklem it’s a Dometic CFX 50. For a few days trip by myself it’s fine. If I take anyone with me and go longer than a few days it probably wouldn’t be enough.
      Size constraints for my build wouldn’t allow for a bigger fridge.

    • @OverlandAddict
      @OverlandAddict  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Greg Macklem I originally used the factory 12v outlet in the back, but I recently ran power directly from the battery and replaced the cigarette plug on the factory cord with Anderson Powerpole connectors. I really like those.

    • @OverlandAddict

      Tim Weimar the netting (I think they call it an attic) was an option from the Chinese manufacturer that built the tent. I ordered the tent direct. You’re the second person who commented on it. I’m surprised more tent companies don’t offer it as an option.

    Is jeep good for daily driving ?

    • @OverlandAddict
      @OverlandAddict  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's hard to say. It really depends on your personal situation. If you have to commute a long distance every day for work, probably not because Jeeps aren't that great for gas mileage. But if gas prices aren't a concern then I'd say it's fine. For me, I don't have to drive a lot on a daily basis so it's fine for me. Hope this helps!

    Great family brother, can't wait til I take my family out overloading as well. I'm waiting for my Gobi rack to come in, been waiting since December:( If you had a different choice, would you choose a hard shell tent or stick with what you have?

    • @OverlandAddict
      @OverlandAddict  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Brandon Koay thanks! I was originally going to get a Gobi, but they had a 4 month lead time. Sounds like that hasn’t changed. I’m not sure why they don’t do something about that. But I digress.
      I would probably go with hard shell, mainly for the quicker setup time. Either that or a Free Spirit Recreation.
      It’s mainly the window awnings that are a pain with the rods to prop them up. I also have to climb around on the top of my rack to unstrap the tent etc.
      All of that will change once I get my trailer built, though!
      Thanks for watching!

    • @Airkoay
      @Airkoay 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@OverlandAddict I'm thinking the same, Free Spirit or maybe the iKamper. They are a bit pricey, I may have to hold off since a big chunk of my $ went to this roof rack (if it eventually arrives!).

      I pack firewood when I camp in public campsites too. The area around the camp has often been scoured and depleted of any dry fuel by every other camper who didn't bring firewood. In fact, I see so many people trying to make fires with oversized and/or green wood that I plan on packing extra firewood next time to sell in bundles to other campers. 😁💰
