I've ridden a 500 for six months and the first thing I noticed when I got on the Jawa was its lightness and flick-ability. The engine has more punch and smoothness than even the 500 in low to to mid range making it super easy to over take with in the city. The only downside I felt was that the foot pegs are cramped (and I'm only 5.6) and the speedo is next to useless with its oblong font and upside down read out. The exhaust makes a fun little and is quite audible. All in all the Jawa felt happy and toy like. The RE is better suited for sedate cruising like how brother Strell pointed out. The looks and fit and finish on the Jawa is much better compared to REs. If you're just going to use your bike in cities and have a service center near by then consider the Jawa. Id suggest wait for REs to launch their new line up of bikes which will be coming soon. Rumor has it that they're revamping their entire line up. Safe riding!
@Strell I had a chance to test ride the Jawa classic, and what I really felt was that the Jawa machine will be an awesome commuter. I own a TB350 and I can swear, Jawa will be difficult for touring. For shorter persons, Jawa will be good enough. And one last point, you mentioned about the pillion, Jawa's pillion seat is way too smaller when compared to REs. The pillion will definitely feel unsecure for 2 reasons. 1 being the torque of the machine, and 2nd will be the absence of a grab rail. Both machines will sell cos of their legacy only. Finally kudos to you as a TH-camr and not playing any favouritism!!!

Please change the rear view mirror of classic 350 to Himalayan's rear view mirror, it will give lesser vibration in higher speeds. It is not advisable to give Bharath Stage 4 models to local mechanics. Royal enfield require continuous attention and Bangaloreans can find good technicians at Brand store service centre located at BTM II stage. When we had bullets and Yezdi's till mid of 90s, there was a saying that, Bullet is for tall people and Yezdi for both. On priciing Bullet was expensive at that time whereas now JAWA is costlier than Classic 350.

I'm a college boy and I'm riding the bullet 350 standard for 1.5 years...iam a little bit skinny , but it doesn't affect your driving.I have also driven the jawas all two models and it is not at all good.the bullet 350 standard have a good pick up and it can do high speed easily..I have ride it in the topspeed of 125 and it can do More...it have a little bit vibration but it's nots so big..I prefer the bullet 350 standard.

When we had bullets and Yezdi's till mid of 90s, there was a saying that, Bullet is for tall people and Yezdi for both. RE condition ഒകെ പോയി എന്ന് ഈ ഇടയായി എനിക്ക് തോന്നി .. jawa ബുക്ക് ചെയാം എന്ന് വെച്ച് ഇന്ന് java 42 test drive ചെയ്തു... jawa sporty ആണ്.. aggressive ആണ്.. but handle bar and sitting position uncomfortable ആയി തോന്നി.. test ride കഴിഞ്ഞു തിരിച്ചു RE കയറിയപ്പോൾ ആ വ്യത്യാസം മനസിലായി... എന്തായാലും കുറച്ചു wait ചെയ്തു jawa custom shops and service ഒകെ എങ്ങനെ ഉണ്ട് എന്ന് നോക്കിയിട്ട് എടുക്കും 👍👍👍

I'm a college boy and I'm riding the bullet 350 standard for 1.5 years...iam a little bit skinny , but it doesn't affect your driving.I have also driven the jawas all two models and it is not at all good.the bullet 350 standard have a good pick up and it can do high speed easily..I have ride it in the topspeed of 125 and it can do More...it have a little bit vibration but it's nots so big..I prefer the bullet 350 standard.
