Really enjoying this series! It's refreshing to watch mods that don't require a huge budget or extra sets and encourage us to use what we have. Thank you for the inspiration!!
I had the very same idea about extending the roof of the bookstore. I was trying to come up with a way to add the bathroom and kitchen to the blue building, and I'm inspired by the way you've done that. Thank you!!!
Thanks so much for the video! I'd already used your bathroom extension for the townhouse--it's really a great addition. I think the way you extended the bookshop's third floor by another 4 studs is a huge improvement. The original building always looked a little wonky from the side to me. Using the pillars and extending the third floor makes the exterior look much better. I changed the bookstore's third floor to an office, with just a desk (and the chameleon's terrarium). I've always wanted to add things like boxes of books and other inventory, and extending the footprint will allow it.
I love this adjustment to the Book Shop. I've seen the instructions and piece list for the townhouse bathroom extension, but is there at least a piece list for the Book Shop changes and I've just not been able to find it? Pretty new to MOC'ing and learning my way. Thanks!
Excellent improvements! I am also very puzzled as to why some AFOLs are so resistant to adding a restroom to their buildings. Some are completely resistant to doing any improvements at all … which seems like a foreign concept to me. Let your creative juices flow people! 👏🤣 (lol)
Thanks! I think some people want to preserve the original design so they can still have the resale value of a complete set. Others want to follow the instructions all the way and feel uncomfortable deviating. I understand them in those cases 😄
@@brickartisan … yeah, that makes sense. Plus, not everyone has the chops for MOC enhancement either. Probably fear they might ruin it. I’ve been building MOCs for over 20 years, so I have a natural bias.
@@thomashayes507 same here. I have more fun doing mocs and mods but I respect people who prefer the original designs. It takes a lot of will power to refrain from modifying the sets 😄
Great video as usual! Would recommend this as a first modular? And at which price would you get it? 200 dollars/euros seems a little bit steep to me for a license free set.. here in Germany one can get the relatively new santam santorum cheaper often times
Thanks! It is a good set and would be good to get before it retires. If it’s possible to get it at 180$, then that would be great. Other great sets are Assembly Square, Police Ststion, Boutique Hotel and Sanctum Sanctorum

Thank you. I’m glad you like it and I hope you try some mods with your sets 😊

@@kenpocrane you’re welcome. It’s great that you got some ideas for you own modification 😊👍

Thank you. I’m glad you liked those improvements. I hope to see what you do with your bookshop 😊
I would like to see your improvements to the Parisian restaurant. Your work is amazing.
Ok, I’ll put that on my to-do list
That are nice mods or improvements you made. So a 👍 up for you
Thsnk you so much 😊
Great video man :)
Thank you 😊

Thank you. I’m sorry I’ve not really done a digital design and extra parts list on the bookshop as it was more of a free-build modification 🙂

Great! I hope you got some ideas out of the video 😊
Do you a MOC for the Lego Pets Modular? I have the Pets half and need an idea for what to make it.
As always, your ideas are inspiring
Hello,
Sorry, I don’t have the Pets modular and I’ve not done a MOC on it.
