This was edifying to me! It is something we as Christians needs to hear often due to the spiritual battle that is ongoing, where the enemy is trying to get us to spend our time with everything else than Scripture.

These are indeed questions of my time, I hope after years of praying and waiting for what seems unfair or absurd for someone struggling heavily with the assurance of the existence of God; in which other folks freely and openly receive personal signs from God that firmly confirms the legitimacy of the faith once and for all, I could at least address the burning question with scripture. Maybe I’ll never receive a close and personal response from God like others, perhaps such experiences would always be absurd to me…

But think about it, many of those who claim to have a "personal sign from God" are trusting in that and not in Christ...and they will perish in the end. Matthew 7:21-23 says that many who did mighty works are deceived. We must trust in CHRIST alone... This does not mean there is not a witness of the Spirit (Romans 8:16) that to one degree or another increases in the life of the believer. So if you desire assurance trust in the promises in the Lord's Word.

@@illbehonest I don’t think that’s always the case, sure…there are folks who attribute the value of those signs as something self-contained instead of using it as a stepping stone to trust God. As a volunteer photographer for my church, I have heard and recorded many personal testimonials from people in my circle and the other congregation…and a great deal of how these people came to be or individuals who already believed; they all received signs, signs such as being touched by scripture to the point of tears, prayers seemingly answered the moment it ended, or exceptional courses of events leading to something that changed or improved their understanding of God. These people I know, are rooted in Christ…they’re not deceived. And even from Bible studies or conversations from church retreats, I have heard these stories from my peers and church leaders…it just makes me feel disconnected because in addition, those who never received anything like I have…already came to a conclusion and they’re with the Lord. I’m the only one that’s struggling for this long and fruitless, having went through a long process of re-education or re-understanding of the faith ever since I returned to my church as a teenager…I feel as if it is clear I am an outlier.
Not an outlier in the sense I cannot be saved, but an outlier that cannot come to an absolute conclusive understanding or have not been touched by God personally…like others have.

You're putting the cart before the horse, child. You see the work, but the preparation of the heart is of the Lord. These people, they were ready to die, and apt to it. Because they had been long dead and past tired of their circumstances. Beloved, have faith in God. When things don't come as you would have them, it's an opportunity to wait in God and be all the more glad in his coming when he does come. And while you're waiting, ask God to help you move by faith. You're not waiting for affirmation because Christ IS that affirmation of faith. Do you love him? You want to know the Lord better? Do you delight yourself in the abundance of peace and truth by him? Or is you heart stagnant waters, putrifying as time goes on while you wait for signs and wonders that shall never come. As it is written, a wicked and adulterous generation seeketh a sign. And no sign shall be given to it but the sign of the prophet Jonas. For as the prophet Jonas was three days and three nights in the depths, so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the earth.

I did not listen, but i will answer the title. Yes, signs following, demonstrations of power and goodness, of a glory that does diminish.
