    This is my first time seeing this video even though I have watched other Gracie videos. It been a year so I hope you will newer. When you say 16 inch, are you speaking of the length of the entire sewing machine or throat depth? Thanks.

    Will you have a frame big enough for the Janome Continentals? The M8 has a 25" base and a 13" throat space.

    Extended handles - video mentions carriage will fit a 13" machine, but to use an 18" machine (total length), I'll need extended handles. On the website it mentions "throat" length. Which measurement should we be looking at to see if this hoop can fit our machine? Total length? Throat length? or both?

      @TheGraceCompany  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Julianne,
      You will want to measure the throat length of the machine.

    Question: What happens when your quilt is rolled up and too big to fit in the throat space of your machine? Do you take it out, turn it around, reload and start sewing in the opposite direction? I've seen videos on how to start but never seen one for when the quilt is rolled up and full in the throat of the machine. Thanks.

    • @TheGraceCompany
      @TheGraceCompany  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello,
      Yes, you would turn it around and reload the quilt. We do not currently have any videos on this.
      If you have any other questions let us know

    Do I have to have the back rail through the machine while quilting? Does it not take up quilting space? Instruction videos very clear.

    • @TheGraceCompany
      @TheGraceCompany  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi, Bridget. Thanks for your question. The back rail does go through the machine. It's there to precisely manage the fabric it takes up, keeping it out of the way of the sewing space.

    If there was some way to fold down the two tiers of the frame, the buying pool would increase significantly.

    My brother machine does embroidery so would i be able to use this as my frame instead of using my normal 5 in frame?

    • @catprowlin3451
      @catprowlin3451 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Saw your question, and maybe I can help answer it. I don't think your machine can stitch a design without a hoop in place. I have two Brother embroidery machines, one for certain will not stitch a design if the embroidery frame is not connected. So I could put a quilt on this quilt frame, but I'd still have to hoop it in order to stitch out each design. The only way you could use this setup is to disconnect the embroidery module and use your machine like a sewing machine. There is a software Grace has, that allows your machine to behave like a long-arm, but now you're talking serious funds (you'd also have to add a motor plate to the platform, which they sell too, and a tablet to put the software on). I sympathize, I've been trying to find a way to use my Dream Machine like a long-arm, best I can do is stacked designs to a 9x13 size, then have to re-hoop. I wish Brother would create a truly "endless hoop" machine one day. But for now, they only stitch designs when the hoop is attached. Hope this makes sense to you.

      Hello Maxine,
      No we do not recommend using any HandiQuilter machines are they are built differently and do not work with our frames well.

      Hi Patricia, several of our machines will work with the Gracie Wood Frame. The best thing to do is call 1-800-264-0644 and one of our associates will be able to help you decide which one is the best fit for your frame and for your needs. Thanks!

      Yes, Shazia, it will definitely work on the hoop frame. Your machine might have some extras like the embroidery module that you'd need to remove first. Thanks for your question.
