Hey all! I just built this golf app where you can get exclusive lessons from the world's greatest golf coaches. It's been the biggest game changer to helping me improve, and wanted everyone to be able to do the same. Check it out here! caddyai.io/
The tempo and distance control tips have improved my putting so much. Once I line the ball to the target, I then focus on the tempo according to distance and hardly look at the hole until the ball gets there. Highly recommend this video! Cheers ⛳️❤️
I’ll be there 🤝 I am subscribed and have been following you along on your journey to scratch. You inspired me to start my own TH-cam channel documenting my journey to breaking par. I’m wishing you the best of luck 📈
This really is one of the less geeky practical putting lessons you have posted. I have about 5 things here to take to the putting green. I think for me to rank them it's the idea of aiming for a spot based on the summation of the variables, pacing off and practicing for that control, lining up the ball, using the straight line of the putter held over my left belt loop to set the face, put the face down on target then step up and for me the mantra of 1..2. Scott did his homework for you on this one as well Jerome! I took up golf basically the same time you did and your time with these coaches is building my game when I believe I have a shot at this! I hope you still believe you can get to scratch!
i loved this vid! wrote down similar things for my self;) especially, as u say "aiming for a spot based on the summation of the variables" and practice stroke to hit that spot, not practice stroke looking at the hole!🤌Putting is really where u loose points, just got serious about my putting..cheers
Since watching this video and trying out the alignment strategy with a line on the balls I’m mostly 2 putting rather than 3 or 4 putting. This is essential watching for anyone who struggles with Putting and it’s all online for free. The most comprehensive putting video ever…..and I’ve watched loads
I can putt now. The alignment hack turned me into a 1.5 putt vs a 2.5 avg putt. That combined with the one putt guy's dominant eye alignment vs the putter head. Now i have another 52 things to fix.
Good stuff! I've learned a few more things than what I've already been doing. I didn't like to use lines on the ball but after watching this, I'm going to start using the lines to line up my putts. Thanks, Jerome!
Went out and practised using line on ball and double checking with putter shaft along with shorter stroke , pure gold awesome loved it, far better than the more technical lessons shown keep it up 👍
Very impressive ! I’m 73 retired and played 9 holes yesterday, first time since April most of my shots was pretty decent but where I gained strokes was putting. I missed two short birdie puts and ended with a 44 on 9 holes so I deff will try these instructions here. Thanks ❤
Amazing video! Great information. Can't wait to take it to the practice green then the course to see if I can start making more putts! Thanks for video!
I learned my reasons for missing the short ones. His instructions are simple and not over technical. I will be going out today to put these in practice. Thanks for your goals to be better. Mine are to lower my handicap a few points. This will be a large factor. 😅
Wow Jerome! The way Scott talks and explains things is awesome. I started just a bit before you and am a little behind you in the quest for great scores. Your comment about going on and off of using the line and how it looked off sometimes after you get over it is exactly what I have experienced. Been watching from day one. My best yet is 84 on a par 70 course. Out of curiosity, how often to you get lessons? I know they must be $$$. Thank you for these amazing videos. Cheers to you and your golf career.
1. Read green 2. Align line(s) on ball in direction of your read 3. Take your stance 4. Align putter face perpendicular to ball line(s) 5. Estimate force of stroke needed to reach desired distance 6. Stroke
Jerome, in the next vid can you cover why Scott says to aim the ball at the hole every time instead of at the T you place? or was that just for the drill in this video?
There is a point in the video where the student say that when he aligned the line with the point where he want to start the ball or the aim point , when he approaches the ball its look that is aim to different point can be right left or what ever , but it not match the point where he want .. well this happens to many players because they have been told to putt the eyes exactly over the ball and it not for everyone.. because everyone will see that the line is in different place .. to correct that what player must do is : get to the ball and move the eyes back and forward till he see that the line is match the point where he want to play .. and when he see the line is aligned good this is the position of his eyes regarding the ball , for some people will be over the ball for some inside the ball for some other out side the ball .. everyone is individual… look for Mike Malaska talking about this problem…
This is a great video! I am going to try checking the aim line with the putter shaft in my practice later today. Did Scott have you try anything else with the Capto or was it just to check your tempo?
I was on tour in the late 1970s and early 1980's. My golf instructor was Harvey Penick. I was a better than average putter, but no Ben Crenshaw that's for sure! The rest of my game was probably slightly worse than average, but I was streaky at times and capable of scores in the 63-66 range. I usually had low scores like that when I hit 15+ greens in regulation.
At 72 hcp 7 my playing partners say i am the best at the club with the putter after watching this video I have found some very useful tips on why my poor putts happen many thanks
Well at first I was not sure if it would work. But when putting the putter on the hip and using my dominant eye. I made the put first try. Normally it would two or three times before getting it in. So I have to say this works perfectly.
Just watched the video. That was my "aha" moment too. That alone is huge. Missed 3 putts today because whoever set the pin didn't tap down around the hole and the ball would roll off because I didn't hit it with enough speed. My tendency is to putt to the hole.
I love the concept of lines on the ball. I have the same issue as him. When I’m over the ball. That line always look so far left of the hole, my mind just can’t get over it or my hand tries to fix it at impact. He never told us how to fix that or correct that during your session with him
Immediately I started watching this video, I had a feeling that Bryson's name would come up and poofs it did!!! Did Scott ever coach Bryson? Bryson must have been one of his brightest students!!! Scott Curry is an awesome teacher!!! Thank you for this lesson, Jerome.
Yes. Which should happen organically if you swing the putter smoothly like a pendulum. Use a metronome app for practice - most pros are at 76 bpm from takeaway to impact. It will feel fast most likely, as most ams have too slow a backswing then save it by putting extra effort into the downswing.
There are tests you can find online to help you find eye dominance. Tempo is the ratio of time on the back swing to the front swing. So a back swing of 1 second and front swing of .5s is a 2, but so is .8s/.4s
You’re so right! This is at least the third world class putting coach he’s been to and they’ve all told him the same thing: he’s not lining the putt up where he thinks he is. But, he’s too dense to use a line on his ball.

title is an understatement. This is easily the best putter lesson online.
Hands down the most competent putting instruction I've ever seen. Wow.
The instructor did a LOT of talking and LITTLE in the way of demonstration.
I was trying to follow along but so confused what the instructor was getting at outside of the overall point of "line and speed are important"
I watch youtube golf lessons every once in a while, but this was an absolute clinic. Well worth the time watching the entire video.
The tempo and distance control tips have improved my putting so much. Once I line the ball to the target, I then focus on the tempo according to distance and hardly look at the hole until the ball gets there. Highly recommend this video! Cheers ⛳️❤️
I like this guy, great teacher. Stick with him man.
This is the best putting lesson I’ve ever seen… I am definitely using everything from this video in my putting practice from here on out.
The next one with Scott is even more insane! Coming out soon :)
I’ll be there 🤝 I am subscribed and have been following you along on your journey to scratch. You inspired me to start my own TH-cam channel documenting my journey to breaking par. I’m wishing you the best of luck 📈
He’s my putting coach. I’ve been competing for a while and he’s changed my putting completely
@@JeromeRufinwhen’s the next one dropping?! Can’t wait to watch!
For people with ADD this guy is perfect! Grabs your attentions. Helps you focus. Easy to follow. No fluff. Pure genius. Thank you!
I like the humility. Not acting like he knows more than he does. New sub here

This was incredible. I putt “okay”, but will be changing a couple things due to this video. Thanks!
It's refreshing to watch such a uplifting coach. Some guys give great instruction but are so negative that it's hard to learn.
Awesome insight to putting I ever seen thank you for getting that on film and sharing ⛳️
well worth the time watching this lesson. thank you for asking all the questions for us.
After watching this video and applied these lessons to a round later in the day I played my best score ever. Totally stoked.
I can putt now. The alignment hack turned me into a 1.5 putt vs a 2.5 avg putt. That combined with the one putt guy's dominant eye alignment vs the putter head. Now i have another 52 things to fix.
My god this was the most amazing putting lesson I've ever seen.
Amazing lesson…so many good things in there for all us amateurs. Love the emphasis on intent!
Good stuff! I've learned a few more things than what I've already been doing. I didn't like to use lines on the ball but after watching this, I'm going to start using the lines to line up my putts. Thanks, Jerome!
The line + using the dominant eye to line it up was the biggest game changer for my aim. Unreal!

By far the best Put lesson I have seen is really well explained.
Great video with so much great info … worth watching 👊🏼💥⛳️
great lesson, great tips, on it tomorrow
Best lesson I’ve seen
This is the most helpful golf video on TH-cam! Thank you!
I am 58 years old with a lot of feel, I am a good putter, this is going to make me a great putter. well done young man.
Stay with him. Very knowledgeable on putting. Great job
Scott is the man!
This was awesome man! This was a lesson none like the others on TH-cam 🔥
Hoping all my videos can be like that for all of you!
Using putter to double check ball alignment is a game changer. A lot of good feedback and confidence in just the first session.
I learned my reasons for missing the short ones. His instructions are simple and not over technical. I will be going out today to put these in practice. Thanks for your goals to be better. Mine are to lower my handicap a few points. This will be a large factor. 😅
Bestest explanation ever!!!!!👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
This was a great watch, thanks for making it. Here's to all of us canning more putts in the future.
Awesome lesson... Thank you!. I am following this religiously. I already do a few things as a part of my routine.. Need to add rest :)
I really enjoyed watching this lesson. I was able to learn a few things for myself.
I actually learned a lot from that. Good stuff.
Wow. That was awesome. I'm going out today in the 90 degree temps and play a round with these methods.
Scott is the man best green reader in the world!!
Best putting info I've ever seen…amazing!!

Same here. I use the line on the ball to line up the putt and when I get behind the ball it seems off. I always end up pushing the ball right.
Wow! This will totally change my putting style for the better.
Very knowledgeable, I like it because golf pro ability is not necessary. This will help me.
What a great putting clinic!!
He put decades worth of putting analysis into a 40 min clinic👍
Can't wait to try it tomorrow -- course is closed today.
Great lesson
keep up the good work
Way to bring the knowledge....AGAIN!
Anotha one!
Brilliant. I learned soo much here. Thanks.

“Practice stroke to the hole”
A-ha moment 🤯
No wonder many of my putts come up short.
Going to target putt 12-15” beyond now.

Could you in theory use a tee to mark your line on the course as long as you pick it up before you putt?
Awesome!
The tempo for distance control was a great lesson
With this video, I believe my score will below 100 or 90 is definitely achievable.
Best lesson 👍
I like how he makes his assessment off of one putt
Just played a game using the tips from this video and scored 86 basically shaving 20 points off my normal score. Who says TH-cam videos don’t work 😊
Regular TH-cam videos don’t work. Jerome TH-cam videos though??? 😊😊
The best!
I am so desperate to putt better. The aiming is revolutionary for me.

Great video.
Please explain the lines on a golf ball.
Not really sure I understand 2:1 ratio putting. Is that 2x backswing to 1x forward?
Yes. Which should happen organically if you swing the putter smoothly like a pendulum. Use a metronome app for practice - most pros are at 76 bpm from takeaway to impact. It will feel fast most likely, as most ams have too slow a backswing then save it by putting extra effort into the downswing.
@@gunghogolf thank you so much!
How do you know which eye is dominant? And what do the tempo numbers mean e.g. 1-2, 1.7 etc?
There are tests you can find online to help you find eye dominance. Tempo is the ratio of time on the back swing to the front swing. So a back swing of 1 second and front swing of .5s is a 2, but so is .8s/.4s
