the term Monster Rookies was literally invented because of 2NE1 and i hope they do comeback with a special stage in MAMA. Coming back here after hearing the news of 2NE1 meeting YG and for a possibly 2NE1 reunion/comeback. We’re currently at 5th Generation and I must say no one can still surpass their achievements as a group. They broke the stereotype of a girl group and new generations idolized & followed them. 2NE1 you will forever be famous. Nolza!
You can literally FEEL and SEE the pain in ALL OF THE MEMBERS' faces when they reminisce about 2ne1 days. You can tell it really was their love and passion to perform. They weren't just treating it as a job or a means to make money. They LOVED performing :(

I love how Dara and Bom always introduce themselves as 2NE1 members even when the group has been disbanded for years. Dara even have an introduction line and she still says it, it's so cute. I wish they could've been together, the 4 of them on the same screen but this is still so meaningful for us

Years after years, no one really moved on. It just shows how irreplaceable they are. Back then, I thought time will heal everything but until today i still find myself hoping for them to come back. I cried a lot watching Coachella 2022 and the behind the scenes uploaded on CL's yt account. It's like the closure that was long overdue. I am always proud to be a Blackjack. Please support all their solo activities. Maybe someday we will see them on stage together again ❤️

My heart always breaks for 2NE1, Bigbang and 2NE1 got me into kpop and it was hard to see them go the way they did...:/ The only group that I would even consider somewhat close to their stage presence and talent is Mamamoo but even then its not the same
this is not just remembering 2NE1's past, this is also remembering the fans past. I'm crying watching this. This reminds me of how glorious that era was, and how old i was when this all happened. I was on my early 20s with nothing to entertain me more than Kpop and Kdramas. It's so nice to see how far the girls have come. This journey is for both the girls and us! I'm happy that this was my era, that i was there when this glorious days happened.

The fact that they've already disband 6 years ago and still get compared with new gen kpop. They aren't just a girl group, they are LEGENDS. They were one of the first Kpop girl groups who helped stared the Kpop wave around the world. They raised the bar too high that most groups today are struggling to meet. This is why they are memorable. They are always remembered by their OG fans as they genuinely loved them dearly. Most groups fail to keep their fandom after their break ups except for 2NE1 because they managed to win their fan's heart through their genuine characters. They are not just admired but also loved. You know you are a legendary artist when your own fans still hope for your reunion even year after break up. YG fcked up big time for disbanding them. They were amazing and genuine. I hope other companies would take them back as a group as blackjacks are all dying to see their comeback.

I feel this interview might have triggered the members to reunite, like they all expressed individually their desire to reunite which is why CL would have created a chance. The newer girls are getting hate when it's obviously the management's fault. Their artists are talentend song writers and producers too. Literally all they need are the the resources. Recording studio, choreo and marketing. CL literally was able to release bomb music on her own. It really sucks because the disbandment destroyed them. We can all tell how it broke everyone.
This group is hands down the biggest mistake YG the company made in the sense that they let them go... I have been into KPOP for 16 years... I have watched so many music videos and live performances from multiple groups. 2NE1 wasn't even my original bias as that went to BigBang and I still have them as my top boy group especially as performers. However, I made my mom in high school let me go to another country just to watch these girls. I will never forget it. The talent... I couldn't even understand at the time. It was amazing to see them live for real and really see them show their hearts on the stage. I still support their solo work and watch everything I can. My lightstick still in my room from their concert in New Jersey. No matter what, they are my bias, they are the women that pulled me through a lot of stuff. From elementary school till now, I'll keep sticking by them. I pray to see them all together one day again. Leader CL, Maknae Dance Machine Minzy, Main Golden vocalist Bom, Visual Actor Dara.... @@dacom1179 except YG had a huge impact on what happened to them. Their scandals compared to BigBang (who I also was very biased to like 2ne1) wouldn't even hold a candle to the scandals BB had. YG stood by the boys 100x more then they did they girls. They also did not promote solo promotions of each member like the did BB (hence why Minzy left) and they did not protect Bom like they did some of the BB members. Trust I was a huge YG Stan for years, I still support their groups like BP, winner, ikon etc. However, it is obvious YG chose to let 2ne1 as a group die. Even after the disbandment, they did not support the remaining members (Dara, CL). CL legit did her own performance for the Olympics without YGs help, and Dara filled her own schedule without the company's help. So yeah, after 16 years of specifically following YG the most out of any company, I can definitely blame YG the company for what happened to 2ne1.

i became a fan during the bom drama the promotion right before crush leading into the crush promotions/album release they got me through my 13-14 year old teen depression and really got me into kpop as a young fan then becoming a 3rd generation stan after that. (still nothing compares to 2nd gen even though it was basically over when i joined)
2ne1 was the band that introdused k-pop to Europe. I remember I was 12 when I first heared their music. First song I listened was 'Hate you' and I loved it instantly. Also first animated k-pop music video I have ever seen. I miss those days and I miss them so much. I feel very very nostalgic watching this. I cried with them. I used to draw outfits with the theme of their music videos. Now its more than decade later.. they look so beautiful still. ♡
Philippines became a fan of kpop cause of Sandara. Cause we still love her and support her till this day. Many might argue with me but this girl group paved the way of kpop to my country especially the early days of kpop popularity (2000's-2010). I was rooting for them as well became sad of the disbandment. They are one of the few kpop group that became the foundation of what kpop is today.

I still remember when I first found 2ne1 on TH-cam years ago. I had no idea what K-pop was and had never listened to any song that wasn’t in English. I remember watching their music videos and thinking how powerful and amazing these girls were. I wanted to be strong like they were. Even to this day, when I’m feeling down I play their music to cheer me up and get me going. I miss them so much. I hope they are doing well, and I hope we can have another reunion (besides Coachella) soon!

You would have to make a petition to YG or Teddy. The girls are no longer with YG. That means that they can’t perform any songs they did under YG. They can’t even use the name, w/out YG’s approval. This interview was most likely approved by YG. Aside from that MAMA & YG have an ongoing feud. That’s why most YG artist no longer attend MAMA. Blackpink for example hasnt attended since the time MAMA insulted them & treated the girls like shit. GDragon actually dizzed MAMA during his performance at MAMA. So when BLACKPINK came along, MAMA took it out on them. All in all YG was an asshole with these 4 queens. He mistreated, failed to protect, & even called them ugly, at one point🤬. Unfortunately I seriously doubt YG would approve of them performing again. Specially because the girls have spooked out against YG, & how badly they were treaded.

This video bring so much nostalgia. 2NE1 songs were my jam back in my college days esp. Fire, I'm Busy and I Am The Best. All of their songs were Bop. Uso pa dati pagpapa burn ng mga kanta sa CD hanggang sa pwd na sa usb, lahat yun pinaburn at download ko. Galit na galit nanay ko kasi sa bahay pinapatugtog ko yung songs nla. Wala daw sila maintindihan. Hahaha. I got hooked also on their mellow songs like Hurt, Missing You, Be Mine and Goodbye. I miss everything about them and all their iconic outfits. Yung mga upbeat songs nila lge piniperform sa school at may kaklase pa ako na nagpashave ng buhok like Sandara's style. Ganun impact nla sa amin dati. Thank you 2NE1 for the great memories. Hearing them introduce themselves made me choked up. These ladies were a massive part of my early teens. I watched their videos and listened to their music when I was alone or stressed from my father's incessant verbal and sometimes physical abuse. They helped to shape my identity and I'll forever be grateful to them. I'm always in their corner awaiting their comeback. I'm a BLACKJACK until whenever. Who else is crying watching this? T.T I miss them so much, they were my second K-pop band I followed once I learn about K-pop back in 2014. I wish there could be a miracle and they can come back as a whole group. They are the real queens of K-pop.
I'm literally crying for 30 minutes straight. Crying for 2ne1, but mostly for feeling all the memories as if it was just yesterday. It hit differently when you actually saw these clips at the time it was airing live (or same week/month of the broadcast). I was in high school and a very avid kpop fan. It's not just 2ne1's memory, but it also brings back a lot of memories to me as a blackjack (especially to my youth). This really feels bittersweet and it's literally crashing my heart while smiling throughout.

They were confident, independent, strong and expressed themselves individually while complimenting each other. They all had incredibly unique vocals as well. They literally broke the mold of most female idol groups. There may be others who come close, but there will only 1 2NE1

For me, 2NE1 stands above all the other kpop girls groups because each member was a distinct individual with her own sound and style. In other groups, the members are so homogeneous.
if and when 2NE1 reunites and get the perform again at MAMA, that would be the most epic stage of all the history of the awards show... it would also be good to have current idols see how 2NE1 can devour the stage and communicate with the audience, something that they can learn from... but then again no one knows if it would ever happen one thing is sure though, a lot of people are still hoping that time will come when Bom, CL, Dara and Minzy performs together
So much emotion, they were THE GROUP that broke so many unappreciated boundaries that fans and idols see as normal today! They were/ and still are icons in the industry and although younger Kpop fans of today don’t know them, there is still a level of respect when their name is brought into a conversation of music. This was before the time of streams and artists having huge American tours. The fact that they were still so known… and Kpop music at the time was still considered to “not popular” they set the Standard for not just female artists but artists in general. I've followed them since Day 1 when they debuted with Big Bang with the Lollipop song. Because of them, I started to follow K-pop. They were the most unique girl group ever, they were strong, girls I looked up to. To all the fellow Blackjacks, I truly wish they can reunite. I hope that Yoo Jae Suk takes them on as their manager on How Do Yoo Play? and brings them to MAMA. I so wish for this to happen. I want to see my girls on stage again :')

No one has replaced 2NE1 as YG’s BEST GIRL GROUP. They still remain the undefeated monster performers and we can all agree that all their MAMA live performances are indeed LEGENDARY! Every members had their own fandom and each of them were equally admired because of their talent, not their popularity. To be fair they are the predecessors and the foundation for blackPink. BlackPink literally has the best historically in the industry. In my heart they don’t compare to 2NE1, but still like them. Sadly I already feel BlackPink is almost over

I don't think anyone will argue that CL is the biggest star of the group. But it's beautiful how she cares so much about the other 3 and wants to make sure that they are also part of "the show". She also makes it a point to include and thank the assistants and all the other behind the scene people. Bom is my favorite (I LOVE those big, beautiful eyes!), but how can you not be impressed by CL's heart?
YG had a precious jewel in their hands with 2NE1. They fucked it up. 2NE1 was a much needed breath of fresh air at that time. I can't speak about now since I'm not up-to-date with current gen's groups. But I would think 2NE1 would still make an impact in today's music scene. I'm glad to see my girls still killing it out there in anything they do. I would love for a comeback, but I also understand they have grown up & have new goals. They are my #2 fav girl group. The first? Spice Girls. LOL.
I'm still up to date since the early 2000s and 2NE1 still remains my favourite group. They still are a breath of fresh air for me. There are some girl groups I like but 2NE1 definitely had its place in kpop and it should have been harboured to its full potential.
As I’m watching this, ‘Lovesick Girls’ is playing on the radio at my store. Moments like this I realize how far kpop has come. And at the beginning of the kpop journey for me was Big Bang & 2NE1. They are the foundation for me, they’re super special to me. It was 2010 that I first started listening to kpop. Now it’s 2022, I’m almost 24 it’s honestly such a big part of my life. It may sound stupid to some but it’s introduced me to new things. The culture, food, learning the language. I’ve been able to meet some cool people with the mutual interest of not just kpop but Korean culture. And 2NE1 is a big part of the reason for all that. I’m always wishing them the best.

It wasn’t until the scandal and the “break” that I realized just how invested I had become in 2ne1. I would binge watch old 2ne1 tv or Minzy tv dance videos and any appearance any of them made during the “break”… it’s all so bittersweet to me. I still get angry at how people treated Minzy and Bom. I hope we all continue to support them. I love CL’s music and Minzy always makes a bop. Bommie’s ballads still hit different and Dara’s YT channel and appearances keep me going.

After seeing them on fancams from their WELCOME BACK CONCERT.. I rewatched their past videos of short reunions and the Iconic MAMA performance from 2015.. I feel how badly they want to perform together as a group. Seeing them in this video they were so sad, hopeful and eager for more. In this video they felt like it will be difficult to perform again as a group and they have to wait for a very long time to make it possible. Now after two years. I felt like telling them that 2ne1 eonniedeuls you don't have to be sad anymore. You just made a 3-day concert and are having a world tour. You made itt!! Your wishes are granted!! Congratulations, YOU DID WELL!!

Years after years, no one really moved on. It just shows how irreplaceable they are. Back then, I thought time will heal everything but until today i still find myself hoping for them to come back. I cried a lot watching Coachella 2022 and the behind the scenes uploaded on CL's yt account. It's like the closure that was long overdue. I am always proud to be a Blackjack.

My heart always breaks for 2NE1, Bigbang and 2NE1 got me into kpop and it was hard to see them go the way they did...:/ The only group that I would even consider somewhat close to their stage presence and talent is Mamamoo but even then its not the same
this is not just remembering 2NE1's past, this is also remembering the fans past. I'm crying watching this. This reminds me of how glorious that era was, and how old i was when this all happened. I was on my early 20s with nothing to entertain me more than Kpop and Kdramas. It's so nice to see how far the girls have come. This journey is for both the girls and us! Most groups fail to keep their fandom after their break ups except for 2NE1 because they managed to win their fan's heart through their genuine characters. They are not just admired but also loved. You know you are a legendary artist when your own fans still hope for your reunion even year after break up. YG fcked up big time for disbanding them. They were amazing and genuine. This group is hands down the biggest mistake YG the company made in the sense that they let them go... I have been into KPOP for 16 years... I have watched so many music videos and live performances from multiple groups. 2NE1 wasn't even my original bias as that went to BigBang and I still have them as my top boy group especially as performers. However, I made my mom in high school let me go to another country just to watch these girls. I will never forget it. The talent... I couldn't even understand at the time. It was amazing to see them live for real and really see them show their hearts on the stage. I still support their solo work and watch everything I can. My lightstick still in my room from their concert in New Jersey. No matter what, they are my bias, they are the women that pulled me through a lot of stuff. From elementary school till now, I'll keep sticking by them. I pray to see them all together one day again. Leader CL, Maknae Dance Machine Minzy, Main Golden vocalist Bom, Visual Actor Dara.... @@dacom1179 except YG had a huge impact on what happened to them. Their scandals compared to BigBang (who I also was very biased to like 2ne1) wouldn't even hold a candle to the scandals BB had. YG stood by the boys 100x more then they did they girls. They also did not promote solo promotions of each member like the did BB (hence why Minzy left) and they did not protect Bom like they did some of the BB members.
Trust I was a huge YG Stan for years, I still support their groups like BP, winner, ikon etc. However, it is obvious YG chose to let 2ne1 as a group die. Even after the disbandment, they did not support the remaining members (Dara, CL). CL legit did her own performance for the Olympics without YGs help, and Dara filled her own schedule without the company's help. So yeah, after 16 years of specifically following YG the most out of any company, I can definitely blame YG the company for what happened to 2ne1.

Philippines became a fan of kpop cause of Sandara. Cause we still love her and support her till this day. Many might argue with me but this girl group paved the way of kpop to my country especially the early days of kpop popularity (2000's-2010). I was rooting for them as well became sad of the disbandment. They are one of the few kpop group that became the foundation of what kpop is today.

I still remember when I first found 2ne1 on TH-cam years ago. I had no idea what K-pop was and had never listened to any song that wasn’t in English. I remember watching their music videos and thinking how powerful and amazing these girls were. I wanted to be strong like they were. Even to this day, when I’m feeling down I play their music to cheer me up and get me going. I miss them so much. I hope they are doing well, and I hope we can have another reunion (besides Coachella) soon!

You would have to make a petition to YG or Teddy. The girls are no longer with YG. That means that they can’t perform any songs they did under YG. They can’t even use the name, w/out YG’s approval. This interview was most likely approved by YG. Aside from that MAMA & YG have an ongoing feud. That’s why most YG artist no longer attend MAMA. Blackpink for example hasnt attended since the time MAMA insulted them & treated the girls like shit. GDragon actually dizzed MAMA during his performance at MAMA. So when BLACKPINK came along, MAMA took it out on them.
All in all YG was an asshole with these 4 queens. He mistreated, failed to protect, & even called them ugly, at one point🤬. Unfortunately I seriously doubt YG would approve of them performing again. Specially because the girls have spooked out against YG, & how badly they were treaded.

The last time I've watched MAMA was in 2020, I had this kind of feeling called "waiting" for like, the main event of the awards but nah, from the start up to the end of the show I was like, "Wait, is that it?"
I feel nothing but happiness when I listen to 2NE1 music or watch their performances. I'm so proud of all four of them.
This video bring so much nostalgia. 2NE1 songs were my jam back in my college days esp. Fire, I'm Busy and I Am The Best. All of their songs were Bop. Uso pa dati pagpapa burn ng mga kanta sa CD hanggang sa pwd na sa usb, lahat yun pinaburn at download ko. Galit na galit nanay ko kasi sa bahay pinapatugtog ko yung songs nla. Wala daw sila maintindihan. Hahaha. I got hooked also on their mellow songs like Hurt, Missing You, Be Mine and Goodbye. I miss everything about them and all their iconic outfits. Yung mga upbeat songs nila lge piniperform sa school at may kaklase pa ako na nagpashave ng buhok like Sandara's style. Ganun impact nla sa amin dati. Thank you 2NE1 for the great memories. Hearing them introduce themselves made me choked up. These ladies were a massive part of my early teens. I watched their videos and listened to their music when I was alone or stressed from my father's incessant verbal and sometimes physical abuse. They helped to shape my identity and I'll forever be grateful to them. I'm always in their corner awaiting their comeback. I'm a BLACKJACK until whenever. I miss them so much, they were my second K-pop band I followed once I learn about K-pop back in 2014. I wish there could be a miracle and they can come back as a whole group. They are the real queens of K-pop.
I'm literally crying for 30 minutes straight. Crying for 2ne1, but mostly for feeling all the memories as if it was just yesterday. It hit differently when you actually saw these clips at the time it was airing live (or same week/month of the broadcast). I was in high school and a very avid kpop fan. It's not just 2ne1's memory, but it also brings back a lot of memories to me as a blackjack (especially to my youth). This really feels bittersweet and it's literally crashing my heart while smiling throughout.
Me too girl 😭 they defined my high school. They shaped alot of how I defined myself to who I am now and my style. I felt super confident as a teen whenever I saw them perform or they had a new mv out because they were so different from your typical girl group. Plus their outfits were bomb af

I rarely every like girl groups because or their cute image and higher registers. 2NE1 was different. They were confident, independent, strong and expressed themselves individually while complimenting each other. They all had incredibly unique vocals as well. They literally broke the mold of most female idol groups. There may be others who come close, but there will only 1 2NE1

They were one of a kind. They changed the game and redefined what it meant to be a female idol. Their styles, their personalities, their passion completely changed the industry and thanks to them we have many of the kpop groups we have today. Forever a Blackjack 💕.

Missed the opportunity to have a comeback around 2021 but I'm glad they got invited again by MAMA.
For me, 2NE1 stands above all the other kpop girls groups because each member was a distinct individual with her own sound and style. In other groups, the members are so homogeneous.
if and when 2NE1 reunites and get the perform again at MAMA, that would be the most epic stage of all the history of the awards show... it would also be good to have current idols see how 2NE1 can devour the stage and communicate with the audience, something that they can learn from... but then again no one knows if it would ever happen one thing is sure though, a lot of people are still hoping that time will come when Bom, CL, Dara and Minzy performs together

So much emotion, they were THE GROUP that broke so many unappreciated boundaries that fans and idols see as normal today! They were/ and still are icons in the industry and although younger Kpop fans of today don’t know them, there is still a level of respect when their name is brought into a conversation of music. This was before the time of streams and artists having huge American tours. The fact that they were still so known… and Kpop music at the time was still considered to “not popular” they set the Standard for not just female artists but artists in general.
As an older Kpop fan I miss this era in music it was joyous… and not as negative with fans… I wish them the best they deserve everything in life! They are so amazing! 🤎🤎🤎🙏🏾🙏🏾

I've followed them since Day 1 when they debuted with Big Bang with the Lollipop song. Because of them, I started to follow K-pop. They were the most unique girl group ever, they were strong, girls I looked up to. To all the fellow Blackjacks, I truly wish they can reunite. I hope that Yoo Jae Suk takes them on as their manager on How Do Yoo Play? and brings them to MAMA. I so wish for this to happen. I want to see my girls on stage again :')

No one has replaced 2NE1 as YG’s BEST GIRL GROUP. They still remain the undefeated monster performers and we can all agree that all their MAMA live performances are indeed LEGENDARY! Every members had their own fandom and each of them were equally admired because of their talent, not their popularity. They have set higher standard of expectation for girl groups today and to other kpop gg’s who will come in the future. Yet still, no one does Kpop like 2NE1. The real monster rookies turned YG’s most powerful GG!

To be fair they are the predecessors and the foundation for blackPink. BlackPink literally has the best historically in the industry. In my heart they don’t compare to 2NE1, but still like them. Sadly I already feel BlackPink is almost over

I don't think anyone will argue that CL is the biggest star of the group. But it's beautiful how she cares so much about the other 3 and wants to make sure that they are also part of "the show".
She also makes it a point to include and thank the assistants and all the other behind the scene people.
Bom is my favorite (I LOVE those big, beautiful eyes!), but how can you not be impressed by CL's heart?
YG had a precious jewel in their hands with 2NE1. They fucked it up. 2NE1 was a much needed breath of fresh air at that time. I can't speak about now since I'm not up-to-date with current gen's groups. But I would think 2NE1 would still make an impact in today's music scene. I'm glad to see my girls still killing it out there in anything they do. I would love for a comeback, but I also understand they have grown up & have new goals. They are my #2 fav girl group. The first? Spice Girls. LOL.

I'm still up to date since the early 2000s and 2NE1 still remains my favourite group. They still are a breath of fresh air for me. There are some girl groups I like but 2NE1 definitely had its place in kpop and it should have been harboured to its full potential.
As I’m watching this, ‘Lovesick Girls’ is playing on the radio at my store. Moments like this I realize how far kpop has come. And at the beginning of the kpop journey for me was Big Bang & 2NE1. They are the foundation for me, they’re super special to me. It was 2010 that I first started listening to kpop. Now it’s 2022, I’m almost 24 it’s honestly such a big part of my life. It may sound stupid to some but it’s introduced me to new things. The culture, food, learning the language. I’ve been able to meet some cool people with the mutual interest of not just kpop but Korean culture. And 2NE1 is a big part of the reason for all that. I’m always wishing them the best.
You took the words out of my mouth. It was also that year for me. 2ne1, BB, F(x), gg it was like a whole new world for me had opened up. It wasn’t until the scandal and the “break” that I realized just how invested I had become in 2ne1. I would binge watch old 2ne1 tv or Minzy tv dance videos and any appearance any of them made during the “break”… it’s all so bittersweet to me. I still get angry at how people treated Minzy and Bom. I hope we all continue to support them. I love CL’s music and Minzy always makes a bop. Bommie’s ballads still hit different and Dara’s YT channel and appearances keep me going.

After seeing them on fancams from their WELCOME BACK CONCERT.. I rewatched their past videos of short reunions and the Iconic MAMA performance from 2015.. I feel how badly they want to perform together as a group. Seeing them in this video they were so sad, hopeful and eager for more. In this video they felt like it will be difficult to perform again as a group and they have to wait for a very long time to make it possible. Now after two years. I felt like telling them that 2ne1 eonniedeuls you don't have to be sad anymore. You just made a 3-day concert and are having a world tour. You made itt!! Your wishes are granted!! Congratulations, YOU DID WELL!!
