CL is a true leader. She literally brought them. Didn't give up on them even when the company did. I am sure in their personal lives they were are extremely close and supportive throughout but professionally CL did all that she could to bring them on a stage like Coachella. Her influence and connections must have played a huge role in this. Congratulations to the Queens on their much awaited return.

CL asking Park Bom, "Are you alright? How are you feeling?" the moment she sees her. That put a surprising lump in my throat. It's so reassuring to hear and see their genuine concern and care towards Park Bom and each other. 2NE1 girls are each other's family.
Remember that so many people around you in your life suffer from mental health struggles, those things are very powerful things to say. Nothing to be ashamed of.
To be honest, I dont think Bom is in a good place right now. She feels off.

I saw a tweet from Dara that said “2ne1” in coachella. I couldn’t believe it, I searched TH-cam real quick. When I saw the clips I literally cried.
@@therearebillionsofgalaxies8946 their agency disband the group in November 2016, so sudden and while all members except Bom (and Minzy already left in May 2016) were not in South Korea, CL was in US Tour and Dara was a jury for a dance competition in Philippines... When the news broke, they didn't get the explanation, even there's a video of Dara held back her tears on TV when she heard the news. Minzy got mad because she only get the disbandment throughout the news... The blackjacks around the world were upset because their agency promised that they will be continue as trio and released summer album which was never happened. All we got was the last single called "goodbye" in 2017.
If 2ne1 crowdfunded for a new album - I would support the hell out of that! I stopped listening to YG music entirely when 2ne1 was disbanded. Fuck the corporate machine that treats fans and artists like disposable commodities. I'm so happy to see them reunited on stage.

I’ve been a BLACKJACK since 2009 and I couldn’t stop crying seeing this reunion. 😭 I agree with CL, it felt like they left abruptly (not their fault though!!) and this might be the closure we needed. Thank you so much CL & 88rising for making it happen. Thank you so much for Dara Minzy Bom for doing this. You girls did amazing and I’m so proud of you. You did all of this by yourselves, you deserve the best. 🤍
What magic 88 did to enchant YGE to allow this? 😭 heard 2ne1 brandname contract is as difficult as s.e.s. hope 2ne1 as successful as their seniors Big Mama on brandname, meaning YGE would let them go 🙏

CL may be the baddest female Seoul city has ever had but the other 3 are strong women on their own. Every single one of them.
Minzy, spent most of her growing up days away from family. She struggled as she started working at a young age and debuted with a group who were already women when she was barely one herself. Not to mention being blamed for the disbandment. She was a dance prodigy, but is certainly a talented vocalist that could even rival other main vocals as well as rapper. Shortly before disbandment, at a young age she was able to open her own dance school. She also established her own label just to continue her passion outside 2ne1.
Dara is no stranger to rocky careers. She was a Philippine superstar but her stardom was unexplicably cut short. She was a contestant in a reality show in a country where she couldnt speak the language and was made fun of for it. She barely made it through eliminations but she ended up winning 2nd place. Which is why I believe that no matter how many people try to bring her down, she always puts in the work to prove them wrong. Many believe she's the glue that holds the group together. She flew to south korea and for the 2nd time, started her career as an idol from scratch. She is currently on the list of korean arists with the highest networth. She was always the statement piece of 2ne1's ensemble with her hairstyles and outfits. Nowadays she is an influencial fashion icon especially on the street scene and every now and then she graces fashion week shows.
Park Bom was always passionate about singing. She pursued her dreams despite her family's disapproval and debuted as a singer. She put out song of the year worthy solo hits during their 2ne1 days and was actually one of the more popular members because of that. Her unique voice was also sought after as she collaborated with her fellow artists. Her bout with the media and scandals really took a toll on her. This was a woman who couldnt go out of her house for years and almost lost her career because of the harsh judgement of people. But she took courage and still went back on stage no matter how scary it was to do what she loves.
CL waited outside the YG building and handed her audition tape to YG himself. That alone speaks of what kind of a person she is. Despite being the 2nd youngest she took leadership of what was to be one of the biggest girl groups the world has ever seen. And she proved that she is still the right woman for the job. Her stage presence is unmatched. Talented songwriter, rapper, vocalist, dancer and so MUCH more. She is one of the few female kpop idol rappers who actually knows and breathes hiphop and not just saying a bunch of words in record time. Being hidden away for years with hundreds of songs she wrote, we are now seeing CL unleashed.
No other group of 4 people. I am so lucky to be their fan. Most other groups seem to have called it a day and have gone on with their separate lives but we are lucky that 2ne1 still fought for this chance to come together for "US": the members, the team, and the fans

This must be a long promotion as 2ne1 as a wrap up for fans who are looking for closure. At least it would be good promotion for their solo careers. I believe dara and bom are working on some stuff on their own as well. This would be a good diving board for them. CL will always be best leader.

We’re finally seeing the footages filmed for the past 2/3 years since she was preparing for ALPHA be released. CL the best and most selfless girl ever. She got the invite and thought of getting the girls up on stage with her after her solo set when she could’ve included another solo song in her set, she really deserves the world. Even provided customised outfit, her team ( makeup artist & hairstylist) for them and literally did everything she could for the stage to happen. Thank You for giving us ALPHA as well as the next album that you’re already working on! Everyone please tune in, hype, support and look forward to what CL has in stored for us! GZBz are excited! I hope Chapter 2 comes quick.

I still remember I am so sad that time and I am so mad at YG Ent. for doing that to 2ne1 because it is a really sudden announcement. But now, seeing them become successful in their own career, I am actually grateful they are not under YG Ent. anymore, they deserve everything, they deserve the best.
I am still remember when I cried on November 2016, everything feels so surreal... I even left kpop because I am blackjack and it's hard to find another GG like them... They're unbeatable.

Found so much comfort and understanding in their songs. It was just surreal watching them perform again. To witness it even if it was just through the stream, was just amazing. Goosebumps all over. I am a huge blackjack, devoted GZB... when I was at a really low point in my life, CL played a solo concert in my city here in Vancouver and I got to meet her. I cried meeting her, she hugged me and told me "don't cry, we're all here to have fun!" and held her hand on my shoulder in the group photo. Honestly, that memory stuck with me so much, she is such a true genuine powerful and kind person. Her words helped me through so many struggles. When I watched the Coachella performance I cried happy tears, and remembered CL telling me that we're all here to have fun...I hope she departed the same words she gave to me onto her bandmates. She is truly a great leader. Thank you for sharing this part of yourself to all of us. It helps us in so many ways, in ways you may not even see.
Man this Coachella secret operation by 2NE1 deserves a Netflix series or Disney+ series. From the secret meet ups in Korea to the rehearsals in Minzy's academies up to when CL drove Dara and Bom to the airport. I'm pretty sure CL has more films hidden footages so it'll be nice if she shares it.

It's a bit miswording. She said "our members" (Dara, Bom, Minzy), but it isn't natural in English so the subtitle was "my team". I think for i-blackjacks it's worth know she said "our members". ("My team" could meant CL current/ 88 team, maybe "my group" a lil better 🤔)
This makes me cry. The girls deserve everything. The thing is why I couldn’t move on so easily was because the girls love performing more than anything. We all know that they never wanted to disband. It’s infuriating whenever I think that their past company treated them the worst

watching this documentary of CL together with 2NE1 makes my heart feel comfortable and for a minute I forget about the disbandment and feel that 2NE1 is still active. my desire from the bottom of my heart is that 2NE1 would come back this year releasing a song and mv. 2NE1 has always been my life, and I will always be by everyone's side.

If you pay close attention, you can see CL glancing over at Bom quite a few times during rehearsal. I can't imagine how each of them must feel doing something they haven't done together in years. Knowing how 2NE1 disbanded and knowing what Bom went through, I bet all CL wants to do is protect the girls. She's always been a great leader, but seeing her leadership now is better than ever.

2NE1 is timeless. If they find the strength to come together again and release music then they will be at the top again. The members are so strong but together they are a force of nature. There’s barely any groups with grown women nowadays, I’m talking early 30’s. 2NE1 was my source of strength through my teens and finding myself as a woman, when I was a dancer they were my role models on stage presence and hunger. Now as an I rely on their songs to find comfort and strength to endure adult life.
CL continues to show that we may rise and fall, but as long as we keep fighting that’s a life worth living for. I’m proud of how much she endured to be here today!
I really hope to see more from them.

I love their sisterhood. It's way beyond being group members and friends and I'm glad that they're still so close. There's just something so special about 2ne1 and seeing them together behind the scenes and especially onstage makes my heart full ❤ forever a blackjack and forever my favorite girl group 💛💚💜🧡

This felt like a mini-documentary, and I want to see more. I went through a stream of emotions hearing CL say they're in different places now, but that she has a bucket list she wanted to fulfill and a shared desire among them.
Hearing CL talk at the airport in a more mature voice reminded me it's been years, but seeing them interact, why did it feel like they're still housemates and promoting their songs?
I wish all of them successes in their individual pursuits, but hope that they are still able to come together because they always have their blackjacks supporting them, as a group or individually.

My respect for CL as a person and human being soared to the heavens. I knew 2ne1 has always been such wonderful and beautiful souls but seeing that they haven't changed all these years makes it even more special especially for CL. She's so down to earth. I've never seen any celebrity giving hugs to everyone. She's the coolest queen. I stan 3000 times!
I can't express how grateful I am for this moment. I still cant believe you guys came back together and performed again. CL, it's not just your bucket list that came true, you made every Blackjack's dream come true. We really wanted to see you once again on that stage and when it actually happened I was so happy and excited and overwhelmed that I cried a lot of happy tears. I feel like 2NE1's impact cannot be understated. Even though so many years have passed they are still able to shake the world with their talent and performance. I'm so happy for them that they were able to have this sort of closure and be able to do it in the most iconic way ever. 💕

며칠 전에 또 생각나서 검색해봤는데 코첼라 무대 영상이 뜨길래 봤는데
얼마만에 함께 하는 걸 보는 건지ㅠㅠㅠ
정말 리더의 추진력 너무너무 고마울 따름이었어요.
자기 무대에 더 할애해도 모자랄 텐데도 맴버들이랑 기다려왔던 팬들 위해 무대 준비한 거 정말 감동이었어요.

2ne1 is the best kpop group ever! I really miss their performance on stage! CL being the great leader, Minzy the great dancer, Boom having a cute face and unique voice, Dara being so youthful and krung2x😍. Each makes the best group. Such a great performance as always!!! 2NE1 is no doubt the Kpop's legendary group. As fans, it felt like we were left hanging after you girls disbanded and it doesn't feel like there will be no 2NE1 in the next months / years. We've been asking for a miracle of reunion and then this happened?! I was stoked and at the same time it doesn't seemed real and it didn't sink in at first but when it did, I tried to compose myself not to scream.

While the American entertainment industry is mesmerized by BTS, BP, SuperM, etc. 2NE1 and many other first gen idols paved the way for them to be where they are now (BB, BoA, SE7EN, BAP). I wished first gen idols get the recognition they deserve. I been listening to 2NE1 since 2009, as a junior in high school and never identified as a Blackjack until now. I'm late to the fandom, but I'm very happy to see an iconic older group still together, despite the shit they went through.
A little correction: only BoA is from the first gen, the rest are 2nd gen. First gens would be groups like SES, Sechskies, H.O.T and G.O.D... I think Jessi is also 1st gen but I’m not sure about that.
2ne1, BB, Super Junior, and Girls’ Generation are 2nd gen.
BTS and Blackpink are 3rd.
2nd gen idols deserve all the recognition, but there's no need to name another group here lmao

I'm a big fan of 2gen groups since 2010 and I've seen them doing great things for kpop and its globalization many times, but obviously with the years lot of them disbanded so they don't have now the hype they had before, the same thing is happening with some 3gen groups now also, that happens... It's a reality that we have to accept. Have a good one 👍🏻
I love 2NE1 back then, their songs and performances are daebak. When I saw at Coachella 2022, I never regret as a Black Jack. Brings back a great memories watching them.
