Thank you Karen for sharing us your experience. I had my first chemo Feb12,2024 ,but I had only carboplatin they can’t give me the taxol because of my liver enzyme is high. So for the second chemo is supposed to be March 4 th But they moved it March 11th because of my platelets is very low. Thank you for making me stronger. God bless you.
Stay strong and positive. I have had several chemo sessions postponed due to platelets. I have had two recurrences but am currently NED and have been for 18 months. I am going to have my chemo port removed next week! Take care and wishing you the best.
You look great! Your attitude inspires me to be more open to and laugh at "adventure". You (and that wonderful husband of yours) are a treasure! Hugs and positive energy!!!
1st, I'm sorry you are going through this cancer crapola.♡ you two are a great team - you are stunningly beautiful without hair. You're very brave & I hope you have more good days than bad. Thank you for sharing your journey.
@@ARTbyKDR thank you, to see your grace and happy attitude gives me such a boost that maybe I can smile too. I too am an artist, albeit hobbiest, not a pro like you, I had not even thought of using art to help me cope, so I want to double thank you for that idea. I saw another post of yours showing a display of your paintings, oh my, you are really talented!
My mom started the same treatment last week. It’s been rough, she wasn’t prepared for the severe leg and hip pain, etc… she’s going to try the Claritin though and hopefully starts feeling better soon! She will be losing her gorgeous hair soon but hair is incredibly overrated. Thanks for sharing your experience! It feels very scary going into it all without knowing anything about it really.
Kayleigh I wish the best for your mom! She can get through this especially with your help and support. I lost my hair twice since I had a recurrence. This time I took Procaps a biotin supplement and my hair is coming in much thicker than it has ever been. Unlike this first time I also lost all of my eyebrows And lashes but they too are now back and better than ever. Stay strong and positive as that is half the battle!
The love of my life will probably be doing my buzzcut in a few days! This is day 9 after my first chemo treatment. I am used to short hair as I have often worn mine in a pixie. It is still going to be weird to be bald! LOL I agree with you about having a good attitude and having fun with whatever you can, whenever you can. I haven't experienced the rash yet, maybe I will be spared that one... Fingers crossed. All the best :-)
Have fun with it! Take pictures! Think of the shampoo and conditioners you won’t need for a while! It is so helpful to have your love one in on it. I am experiencing the rash again on my head but it did not occur until after the second dose.
@@ARTbyKDR Thanks, I will check those out. I ordered several from Headcovers Unlimited so I have them on hand. I will check out your recommendations too as I may be needing them all winter!
WOOOHOOOOOOO YOU SEXY THING!!! You look fantastic. I know the pain of getting it cut off, but once its done and you see you are still beautiful, who cares! And yes, gaining that half to full hour of time back is wonderful. Get up, throw on a beanie, and go. Re chemo rash...I never had that experience. Doesnt look fun! I hope it didnt itch or burn. Keep hanging in there! Glad you only have 3 total treatments. I had 6 of first two meds, 12 of taxol, then I had surgery. My lymph glands came back positive, so I had another 12 weeks of oral chemo. Then 37 radiation treatments. It was a lot. Finished in March of this year. My hair is now about 2 inches long, after 2 trims. It is very thin in spots so not great looking. But I really dont care anymore. I am currently in remission, but will never receive an all clear. That wears on me, but am staying positive and keeping a close eye on things. You are a brave woman, and your attitude is everything. I kept positive also and refused to check out of life during that time. Although I did stop crafting and making videos, so I could use that energy with my son and hubs, while also caring for my mother as needed. I am back to crafting and getting setup to record again. Cant wait! See you soon!
Kiki I was horrified that you had to go through so much chemo and radiation! So glad you are in remission !!!! Excited that you are back to your crafting! My art is on hold as I just can’t concentrate on it right now. I can’t wait to see your next video! Take care and keep in touch😘🎨💪
I know how it feels... You rock! It is bad enough as it is, so enjoy the experience. My hair is back again, so it is going to be ok. Hang in there and stay positive! Big hugs! O, and if you want to see my haircut.... we, my family and I, made a little party :-) th-cam.com/video/ytBByU49CIg/w-d-xo.html

Thank you for this brave, honest Vlog today. I begin my chemo within a few days and your Vlog is helping me prepare so much!
It means so much to me Corneille, that this has helped you in some small way! You will get though the chemo and beat this beast! It does get better!!
