Thank you Karen for sharing us your experience. I had my first chemo Feb12,2024 ,but I had only carboplatin they can’t give me the taxol because of my liver enzyme is high. So for the second chemo is supposed to be March 4 th But they moved it March 11th because of my platelets is very low. Thank you for making me stronger. God bless you.

My mom started the same treatment last week. It’s been rough, she wasn’t prepared for the severe leg and hip pain, etc… she’s going to try the Claritin though and hopefully starts feeling better soon! She will be losing her gorgeous hair soon but hair is incredibly overrated. Thanks for sharing your experience! It feels very scary going into it all without knowing anything about it really.

The love of my life will probably be doing my buzzcut in a few days! This is day 9 after my first chemo treatment. I am used to short hair as I have often worn mine in a pixie. It is still going to be weird to be bald! LOL I agree with you about having a good attitude and having fun with whatever you can, whenever you can. I haven't experienced the rash yet, maybe I will be spared that one... Fingers crossed. All the best :-)

WOOOHOOOOOOO YOU SEXY THING!!! You look fantastic. I know the pain of getting it cut off, but once its done and you see you are still beautiful, who cares! And yes, gaining that half to full hour of time back is wonderful. Get up, throw on a beanie, and go. Re chemo rash...I never had that experience. Doesnt look fun! I hope it didnt itch or burn. Keep hanging in there! Glad you only have 3 total treatments. I had 6 of first two meds, 12 of taxol, then I had surgery. My lymph glands came back positive, so I had another 12 weeks of oral chemo. Then 37 radiation treatments. It was a lot. Finished in March of this year. My hair is now about 2 inches long, after 2 trims. It is very thin in spots so not great looking. But I really dont care anymore. I am currently in remission, but will never receive an all clear. That wears on me, but am staying positive and keeping a close eye on things. You are a brave woman, and your attitude is everything. I kept positive also and refused to check out of life during that time. Although I did stop crafting and making videos, so I could use that energy with my son and hubs, while also caring for my mother as needed. I am back to crafting and getting setup to record again. Cant wait! See you soon!

I know how it feels... You rock! It is bad enough as it is, so enjoy the experience. My hair is back again, so it is going to be ok. Hang in there and stay positive! Big hugs! O, and if you want to see my haircut.... we, my family and I, made a little party :-)
