I guarantee you that Hyundai will never outlast that John Deere.Great video
Well I didn't want to come out and say it lol....thank you!
But the Hyundai will probably do alot more work in it's short life and faster
Thanks for sharing Brandon glad you ended up with the old girl it’s a nice looking machine can’t wait to see you working with her 👍
Thank you!!
Love seeing old machines that looks that good enjoy good video stay safe. Can’t wait to see you.
Thank you!
Now you just need another Werk-Brau quick attach and thumb for the ol’ girl😉. What a beauty. I grew up running an old Detroit powered Drott 50, so older equipment like this means a lot to me.
Lol thay would be cool to have all Werk-Brau stuff for it I do want to put a manual pin grabber coupler on it that will adapt it to my 200 buckets....I love the old stuff!!
Well Brandon I am glad you got the old girl finally she is a piece of history and I know you grow up running one it's all coming together for you and I could be happier for you keep them videos coming i do have to admit i have missed about one month of your videos but I am going to go back and watch them all from start to finish and give them all a 👍👍🇺🇲🇺🇲
Thank you!! Happy to have you back watching!!
Darn mother nature, well, hopefully next year. Looks like a very nice older machine and tight. Good for you.
it is nice when your dream of owning a specific piece of equipment, does come true! congratulations

Yes! Thank you!
690b is gonna be the wedding arch 😂 cool old machine 👍

Just remember the guy with the most toys wins! Great looking machine congrats👍
No better feeling then getting one in such nice original condition worth having all day long well done.
What an awesome piece of old iron !
Thank you!
Great job.Right hand drive,like the old Hymac(Uk)..
Thank you! I always the Hymac were really neat excavators I used to get the classic plant and machinery magazine and they were in there alot but I can't find that magazine anymore
A John Deere b model great video thanks Brandon you must be excited and proud a few repairs and she ready
I'm very excited!!
Does it need any work done to it,,looks in really nice condition,,
My cousin told me this! Dad planted atlas it rained. Must have got 18 ft tall. Uncle Matt hooked his 1 row feed cutter behind his A John Deere then a wagon to blow into. The A did not have the guts to pull it. They hooked another tractor to the A. They chopped the whole patch of feed that way! (All the A run was the chopper)
The 690B was always my dream excavator too. My dad worked for an excavating company in the 1980’s and they ran a couple of them.
They were new back then that would have been cool to see!!
Awesome great work mate and you answered my question about your low boy good to hear it's working even better and keep up the great work love your channel bloke cheers from Dean in Australia
Thank you!!!
😂😂😂😂, that's hilarious. Glad you finally got it. Now you can get married, hahahaha. Thanks for the lift in my spirits and I will see you later.
Them deere 690's always sounded so good.
Sweet machine brother! I have a question what brand is your hoop building?
Thank you! So we actually moved that building years ago and we re built it with a new new cover so if I remember right the structure is a Clear Span and the cover is a Norsman if you build one do not get a white cover if we wax tractors and put them in they will fade out like they sat in the sun if we put green hay in it will look like straw after awhile so go with a dark color cover
Thanks for the fast response and the info! We're looking into the options now going that route or metal. I'll let you know what we decide. Keep up the great work!
Thanks
@zacharyholbrook7930 your welcome! We have thought about building another hoop building but now are leaning towards a post frame building 60x12x16
you are getting the type of JD you used in your youth! 690B.
Congratulations on your marriage plans. Atta BOY!
Thank you!
Cool drone footage.
Yeah Clifton did great!!
404 diesel motor neat stuff!
Awesome buddy thanks for sharing
If my memory serves, that one has the cab on the wrong side of the boom vs modern excavators.
Yes they are on the wrong side
You might want to think about replacing the hydraulic pump on your semi. Noticed it didn't even want to pick up the trailer without you giving it throttle new pump
Well the problem is this truck has the wrong hydraulic pump on it it's got a low pressure high volume pump on it but if you give it some rims it will lift the the low boy....my other 2 trucks have the high pressure low volume pumps and they will raise that trailer at a idle.....some day when I have the time I'm going to change that pump out
Wonder why they put the cab on the left now?If older machines had them on the right.
Good afternoon
A very not rusty machine for the age of unit
I love this video
Thanks for sharing, nice Deere.....when is the wedding date😂.
Thank you....lol no idea on a date yet
Harrington's 690?
How many other Morts do you know lol
Nice
Thank you!
The 690B. I saw the TikTok first
Yeah I kinda let the cat our of the bag early
😁👍👍
What year is it?
I just found out the other day I had a background check done on it....it's a 1977 and on October 6th it was sold to a excavating company about 50 mins from here then it pops back up in the system in 1995 belonging to housing development company so with that history and what I was told by Mort I believe I am the 5th owner....sadly at some point John Deere changed their system and some machines history's were lost and Zac's later model was one of them so I can't get the history on it
That’s a sweet looking hoe! That would be great if you could get a mall 690B fleet. Time will tell. Can’t wait to see more of this!
A fleet would be awsome especially if I could find a 890 and a 990!!
Does feel odd with the cab on the right side?
I don't even notice it
@@dirtgrainsteel it dawned on me it's similar to a boat, I've done it for years and don't even think about the controls being on the right side.
is that a 6.0L that you're in?
Yes my daily driver
@@dirtgrainsteel Wow how i knew that was a 6.0L just from seeing the interior view is a triple AAA+ guess 🤯 i am so proud of myself
@@dirtgrainsteel And just so you know i didn't have my volume turned up all that loud to hear that 6.0 and i still got it right amazes me
I think 85 was the last year of the 690B. We had an 85 model . It was a good machine i miss it .
I wish I could find more history on the 690 series there just isn't much about them I would like a timline on them and serial number years
John Deere 690 B.
Ok so who hit the mailbox lol?
Well that's actually a phone box lol idk if you remember but a few years ago now I mowed and baled some hay around the corner from our place well I was coming home with my 620 and the hay rake and I seen a blue car go off the road wipe out the phone box and got back on the road just about smoking the mail box in the process some crack head did it lol we have called the phone company several times and they don't seem to care they came and wrapped it In plastic and that blew off in the wind
where are you guys at with plant 2024
Starting to get ready we are setting a sprayer trailer up right now
Oh and this is George’s kid drake
Wernt you in school? lol
