    I have the smooth blade version of this in the UK.
    I too found it in a random shop in around 2000-2001.
    Only £20 😮
    I wish I’d bought a few 😢
    I can ‘Flick’ it better than almost any other though. Hold it very tightly through the blade hole, and flick your hand down.
    Clicks open reliably perfectly 😀
    I’d never try to put it in a wallet!
    It’s just a fantastic knife that you can drop into your jeans pocket with no bulge.
    I just use it daily for minor light tasks.
    I have others, but I find that getting into cars, tends to push them up off the clip.
    Really nice to know some of the history thanks 👍🏻
