It's an interesting knife, and doubtless has all the top quality associated with the brand. This one, perhaps more than any yet from JW, illustrates the 'modern traditional' thing, being an ultra-traditional pattern made with ultra-traditional cover materials.
Looks well made, but a traditional Barlow should have "soul", imho,, you can be sure if you own one of these, that hundreds of other people will have exactly the same knife, If you buy a traditional Barlow from a company like Taylors Eye Witness, (Premier Collection), or Michael May, then you get a beautiful knife with a "soul", rather than a perfect sterile knife like these,, You then "bond" with the knife, and it becomes your partner for life... Just my 2 cents,,,!!
