Spark plug sockets... many years ago they made good ones that had more of a foam rubber insert. They worked well. Most of the spark plug sockets you see today have a plastic-like insert or hard rubber. These work okay when the weather is warm but as soon as it gets colder these rubber inserts get stiff and will refuse to let go of the spark plug. In most cases when you pull the socket off the plug the insert stays on the plug. Then you have to get down in there with needle nose pliers and try to remove the insert. It can be very frustrating. I finally invested in a set of magnetic spark plug sockets. Wow... what a difference. They have a narrow bore to protect the insulator and the spark plug is held in place by a magnet that securely holds the plug but gently releases when you pull on the socket. It doesn't even pull the extension off your ratchet which it all too common with rubber insert plug sockets. One of the best purchases I have ever made.
That’s what that’s for. Great video!
This is very educative, how can I get the set of spark plug sockets ?

@EOSJOE thanks for the great info! you're the man.
Do you recommend using a little dielectric grease on the contact point? I always do.
I personally have never done this but I don’t see why you couldn’t.
Thx
