      I’m still using the same gear and space… just have a consistent rig and setup now… so I can FINALLY make things look and sound consistent (even though I film with natural light). You’ve been here since the very beginning… so you’ve seen the full journey.
      This is definitely a video many have been asking for in the comments.

    This is the exact comparison I am doing now. I was using the Superblast as my daily trainer and for this month switched exclusively to the B12 to break them in and after swapping out the laces I love them. Tomorrow I will go back to the Superblast to help make my final judgement.
    I will send you a picture question on instagram thanks for the excellent content and waiting on the Shower Video 😂

    As a “bigger” runner at 85kg I hate the superblast. Dunno if other 80+ kg runners feel the same. But I just sink into it and get nothing back. It’s a slug of a shoe. Boston 12 on the other hand I love. I love that it’s firm and smooth at the same time. It rolls through my stride so easily and smoothly that I don’t even notice that it’s firm. The superblast is a jogging shoe at best for me

      Interesting. It makes sense though. LSP is a dense material with considerably more energy return then FFTurbo.

      Hey there! I'm currently at 78 kg, my running profile is short distances with some speed in it (I do mostly CrossFit and lifting, running goes squeezed in the middle).
      In your opinion, what do you think would be the best fit for me between these two shoes? I'm also considering the SL as a running/workout option.

    • @SagasuRunning
      @SagasuRunning  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Honestly…. I’d look at one of the CrossFit or training shoes. They will be adequate for some running and a little sprinting but WAY better for the training. Running shoes are just too unstable. The last gen Adidas SL (not the new SL2) would be ok, though a little unstable for training.

      Personally, as a non-elite runner, the rods in the B12 make it a lovely tempo trainer and marathon race shoe, which seems wonderfully durable and perfectly structured for these applications.

    Concise, direct and to the point. But it answered all my questions already, which was to cover all training bases you need both shoes
    This video is almost too short for me😂 want longer form (I'm not complaining here😂😂)
    I have now fitted on foot and on a treadmill both the Superblast and Novablast 4. I don't really care about the price anymore. Superblast all the way, the ride was so much smoother and and a bit more softer compared to the NB4.

      Videos under 10mins are rare for me. 😂 plenty of 20min+ ones coming.
      It’s hard to beat the SB but do prefer the NB4 for easy causal daily miles. The SB is better when I’m training for something specific. But I am splitting hairs there.

    The comparison I have been waiting for. Great video! Excellent recommendations. No wonder I didn’t like the Vaporfly 3 and the Edge+ because I do like a lot of foam. It’s probably why I’m a huge fan of the Superblast. I like the Sky+ for racing as well. I do have the Edge+ but only use it for 5ks because it is a very snappy ride. 10k-42k, I use the Sky+. I completed my first marathon this year on the Superblasts. They peformed exceptionally well. I wasn’t so sore either the next fee days. I was back running 3 days later. You’ve solidified my choices. I’ll definitely consider the AF 3 but that volt color is hideous in my opinion. 😂 I’ll definitely wait for more colors to come in.

      I love the edge + for 5K I get such good turnover in them and feel great afterwards. I don’t own the Adidas Pro 3 or the Asics Sky+ and feel like the VF3 holds me back. I need to find a new Marathon race day shoe but waiting on the Adidas Pro 4 probably.

    Prime X2 Strung vs SuperBlast vs SC Trainer v3 (fall 24) would be an amaaaazing video for those "super trainers"
    I have to agree, I follow you since a very very long time (just subbed recenlty as the videos became more consistent) because its hard to find a shoegeek like myself and even more difficult someone who even does videos. And the quality of the videos gets better and better and better. Some more music and some running footage and you could grow to Kofuzi level I think. Anyway, really thank you for all the work you put into your videos.

    For me it was a fit thing. The midfoot of the Boston 12 felt noticeably narrower than the Superblast, so I sent it back before I could get a ton of miles in them. Just uncomfortable. The slightly wider last the Adios 8 and Adios Pro 3 are on works and I have both of those shoes and am happy with them. That said, for my money, the Superblast and Endorphin Speed are the best shoes available. Note: Nike also tends to be too narrow, so I’m not comparing the VF or any of the company’s trainers against this statement.

    • @SagasuRunning
      @SagasuRunning  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Interesting to know. I prefer a narrower midfoot, always have, but don’t have issue in either shoe.
      The VF3 is considerably more narrow in the midfoot and heel than the B12. Also the Metspeed Sky+ is even more narrow in the midfoot and heel than the VF3.

    • @SagasuRunning
      @SagasuRunning  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      You can’t go wrong with either and the AP3. There seems to be many who thought I was saying the B12 doesn’t work with the AP3 in my B12 review video. My point was more there is a lot of overlap and the AP3 is very able to do training kms and race, it is very durable. So you don’t NEED the B12. However, the B12 works quite well with the shoe… especially if you like a more direct ride.
      The AP3 is quite interesting as it can go either way with both of these shoes. So much so that I’ve been running in my pair for AP3s again (which plenty of band-aids/plasters 😵).

    As much as I love the Boston 12, that heel is a deal breaker for me. I have 8 runs and 90+KM in my B12. And I find at shorter 10/12km efforts the heel issues are manageable. But if I go too much further then that, or inject intensity or elevation changes the heel is a ticking time bomb. But at $95 CAD, I'm willing to sprinkle in runs to get my "money" out of the shoe. After the problems I had with the Boston 12, I bought a discounted pair of Novablast V3 and in only 3 runs and 70km in the shoe....I literally forget they are on my feel....they disappear. Even today where I put in 30+km with MP and HMP sections at the end....you could have told me I had a pair of Tempo Next% on my feet, and I would have believed you. I really want to try the Superblast, but if the Novablast works this well, and I get basically get 2 pairs for 1 Superblast....seems like the Superblast isn't in the cards for me. My Novablast V1 are over 700KM and I haven't felt the need to retire them yet, but they have been relegated to the treadmill....so their time is short. I had previously retired the NB V1 due to stability issues, but after increasing my lower length strength they found a 2nd life.

      There is a massive difference. The foams are considerably better in the B12. The rods make a huge difference too.
      The KP and the Mach X are also tuned for slower running… which makes no sense. It seems Hoka is tuning the Mach X2 more for faster running now.
      The KP is a shoe they doesn’t need to exist. The Endorphin series has it all covered already.

    have you tried or do you consider getting mizuno wave rebellion pro? I'm curious about your perspective on that extreme, tricky 'legal' racing sho.

      Mizuno is on my radar and I’m paying attention now… but currently am undecided on when to jump in and try. Additionally, while Mizuno is huge here in Taiwan they are all golf and baseball… performance running is rare. Next time I’m in Japan though I will take a closer look.

    Just ordered my 3rd pair of Boston 12's, 2 pairs cost close to 1 pair of Superblast's.

      Especially now with the sales you can find on B12s… some great deals out there.

      Yes exactly! Almost guaranteed to find a Boston 12 in some colour on sale or with an adidas discount code. At first I only wore them for long runs and tempos. Now during my marathon training I wear them for everything because of how fresh they have kept my legs. Even after a hard long run with substantial marathon pace.

      They can definitely do it all, especially if you order a firmer shoe (I do). I would make sure to mix in a no -plated shoe for some easy runs here and there… but otherwise… the B12 is the one you want for marathon training.
      Assuming you race in the AP3?

      @@SagasuRunningyes I’ve been doing all my racing in the AP3, currently on my third pair because I love them for faster efforts and they are PR machines. Boston 12 is the perfect pairing but I’ve also been testing the new Adidas Supernova for easy days.

      @@Powellcon_ Then you are set… the Supernova/B12/AP3 combo is possibly the best one out there at the moment. 🤙🏻

      It sure can. You can’t go wrong with either of these shoes.

    SuperBlast is a soft fast ride, its not firm. one shoe to rule them all. SuperBlast2 has the updated upper which improves fit

      @SagasuRunning  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The Superblast is definitely a firmer riding shoe, even in the Asics line, due to FFTurbo. The Novablast 4 is a soft ride.
      I’ve not seen any rumors or leaks on the Superblast 2. Any source to backup that claim?

      various influncers been given leaks, something towards the novablast4 upper. regards to soft/firm, im a stability runner and any neutral shoe is soft to me. makes me laugh a bit when firm is mentioned try trabuco11 or kayano30 for a firm harsh ride@@SagasuRunning

      A NB upper on the SB makes no sense and is a huge missed opportunity for the shoe.
      Makes sense on your feel now. The SB is on the firmer but cushioned side of things to my feet. I’m a neutral runner who prefers a firmer shoe as well.
